Lucas never showed up, never called, and now I've called and text him 8+ times without a call back. Today (a month after I first requested a bid) they email me and say sorry, due to the small scope of the project (45' of gutter) they don't have time for me and turned down the job. Now I'm at least 2 months out into the rainy season trying to get on the schedule for the other company. If you don't want the job, don't bid it. What a waste of my time. Don't count on them to follow through, they may come in cheaper than the other companies but clearly you get what you pay for.

They repaired and installed a few pieces of flashing around our chimney, where the water was not diverted properly. They also navigated grounding our hot tub as the previous owners had connected it to the old gutters. The gutters have worked amazingly and are still holding strong. We called them back out in January of 2024, after we had all the heavy ice, for a small repair where the gutter had pulled away from the house a little. Not only did they come out quickly to provide a repair quote but they fixed the area on the spot and did not charge us. They are always incredibly helpful and knowledgeable and we will continue to use them in the future.

Hugo replaced shingles, addressed issues in the attic and examined the rest of the roof. I appreciate that Hugo was early to the initial consultation and the work appointment. He completed our request and then some. The company name says St Joseph Roofing and Deck Repair but he can do much more than that. More recently, Hugo installed laminate flooring on our uneven floor. To minimize debris, he took the planks down our steep stairs to make each cut outside. Highly recommend.

He even found the particular deck stain that we wanted. Hugo and a helper moved some large flower pots and so forth off of the decks to be cleaned, and came back the day after they finished the staining to move them back again. His crew did a great job cleaning the deck, and even went beyond by cleaning adjacent areas that were not technically part of the deck itself. In the end they made sure that we were satisfied, and cleaned up thoroughly before leaving. The whole large job took only two days, and at a very fair price!

Shield Roofing…read more Justin Thomas and his roofing crew did a fine job roofing our home. They did the tear down and reroofing in practically one day. They replaced a warped facia board, and made two small repairs on the boards under the roof. In addition, Justin secured our loose gutter. The price was very competitive and good. Afterward, cleanup was done with a magnet roller around the house area, plus picking up stray old roofing pieces. Communication was good, with progress reports throughout the day. We are happy about our new Malarkey roof. Justin Thomas also does siding and painting, with word of mouth recommendations.
