Anton was very responsive from the beginning to the end of a minor project - a kitchen tile backsplash - for him. He and his team are efficient with their time, knowledgeable and I appreciated the effort they put into keeping things clean and tidy. Anton takes the time to ensure that his customers are happy with the end result. The final look was even better than what I imagined and surpassed the price paid. I would/will not hesitate to hire them again and would recommend them to anyone. read more

Communication? Solid skills and high standards? Teamwork? Punctuality? Design sense? What would make your home renovation project experience incredible? Anton and Reliable Men Construction hits every single one of those and exceeded our expectations. We have worked with multiple contractors on our 1953 atomic ranch and RMC was the BEST experience for our main bathroom renovation. I wish we'd known about them for our earlier projects. Their input and expertise made our project better than what we planned. They not only looked at our design, but listened to what our goals were and made suggestions to help us get there. We love how the project turned out. Their bid was very fair and competitive. Their final work was top notch with excellent attention to detail. They finished when they said they would and were very tidy in our home. Anton is an outstanding manager and communicator, gifted at matching the right worker for the right job. Reliable Men Construction sets a new standard for contractors in home renovation. Highly recommend. read more

Anton is incredible and you should hire him for your next renovation. He's professional, knowledgeable, honest, fair, punctual and all around a good guy. I've already hired him to do some more work following the main renovation and I'll be hiring him for more future work. Now for some details: We bought an apartment in Portland but we were still living in NYC, so the entire renovation was done remotely. Anton was very easy to communicate with. He handled receiving all the materials and fixtures, and even let me send some items to his home (like a bathtub!) so it doesn't disturb my new neighbors. He also brought in my regular mail. I actually got compliments from my neighbors for how Anton's workers helped them with some random stuff. Anton promised and delivered on finishing the renovation before we moved in. While it was a pretty tight schedule, I kept making it harder on Anton by increasing the scope as the renovation progressed (because I was so happy with the work). Even though I kept adding more work, Anton was still able to finish everything by the time we moved in. He and his team are very dedicated hard workers. There are no surprises when you get the bill either, prices are given upfront and that's what you see at the end. As for the work itself - very high quality throughout the vast range of different tasks (flooring, replacing exterior windows, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, replacing kitchen counter etc.). Anton was able to squeeze every inch of space, upgrading our kitchen substantially - shifting some existing cabinets to make more room for a bigger fridge, increasing the size of the sink to the absolute maximum given the existing cabinets (which we didn't want to replace) and even installing an imported faucet that doesn't match the US voltage (for boiling water) or plumbing fittings. I'm so happy with the work he did for us and I hope you hire him too. read more

Outstanding experience! Having completed three whole-house renovations previously, we approached this small guest bathroom remodel with Reliable Men Construction with a number of hopes and requirements. Anton and his crew exceeded our hopes and requirements. This was a small project to update a small guest bathroom. The original contract was clear, clean, and Anton abided by all terms. We found the price to be fair and reasonable. Anton connected us with a collaborative designer with whom he works closely (Bonnie Johnson, Spruce & Steel Design). Bonnie added a synergistic fit with Anton, providing him with critical detailed drawings and managed us (the clients) relative to design choices such as tile, lighting, hardware fixtures, etc. What stood out as exceptional was the quality of the crew and the work each of them did. They arrived on time and worked incredibly hard. Impressive was their attention to small details that shaped the outcome. Last, the relationship with Anton (and his crew) was friendly, respectful and professional. Anton in particular responded to every inquiry immediately. This made for a wonderful experience. We would definitely use them again. read more

Anton and his crew helped me with my new-homeowner first remodel: new tile floors and shower in my half-bathroom and master bathroom. The results were incredible! Definition of perfection! Not only is their work great, but Anton was so so helpful. Communicative, punctual, and was happy to answer all my crazy questions/concerns. The cost of their work is also the most affordable I found after of a month of research. Already reached out to him about another project and will 100% be using them for my last bathroom redo in the future. read more

The process of working with Anton and his team on our kitchen remodel was a treat. From the initial consult to the finishing details, Anton was always readily available and communicative. He was professional, courteous, and responded to every question and concern. He had a team of helpers, each specializing in a different aspect of the work. All were friendly, kept the dust and debris under control, and left the site cleaned up after they were done. Lastly, the timeline was quick. The original projected start date never changed and everything progressed smoothly. We highly recommend Reliable Men!! read more

We hired Anton and his team of Reliable Men to renovate our primary bathroom's shower and adding a window. They also enlarged a window in our guest room and did some cosmetic work in the living room. All the work they did turned out great and I would highly recommend them. We are so happy with the bathroom transformation - Alex's tile work is excellent. During the project they took more care in protecting our floors and living spaces than any other contractors I've hired in the past. I really appreciate the entire team's hard work. I will be calling Anton for any future projects we do here. Thank you! read more

Anton and his team did such an incredible job on my bathroom expansion and remodel. I honestly cannot believe how stunning their work is. I keep going back into my new bathroom just to marvel at their craftmanship! In the span of about 2 weeks, they demolished my leaky DIY mess of a bathroom and created a paradise. These guys deserve every bit of praise that you're seeing here. Before you get started, I recommend having a good idea of what you'd like your remodel to look like (for example, have your color scheme, tiles, fixture finishes, doors etc. picked out). I had never done anything like this before, and I appreciate how patient Anton was with me whilst I was trying to make decisions. I'm already thinking about designs for my other bathroom, and I wouldn't hire anyone else! read more

There was a good reason I selected this company to do my bathroom remodel. They had more than fifty 5 star reviews and many great pictures of what they have done. They did not disappoint. They are master craftsmen and made great attention to the finest detail. Anton, the general contractor , was a great supervisor . His work crew was neat and efficient and the work went quickly. All for a very low cost. I wish I could show you the before pictures. Everything that previous post said was true. read more

We met Anton and the Reliable Men crew when they were working on a major renovation next door to our house. With the homeowner's permission, Anton took us on a tour of the work that had been completed. We were very impressed and asked Anton to come to our house and give us his thoughts on installing new flooring. Before receiving his estimate, he asked us to go to a nearby store to see what flooring options were available to us. After we narrowed it down to 2 or 3, we met with Anton again and he explained the pluses and minuses of each of our options. Once we made our choice, we met again to receive our estimate and an approximation of how long it would take to complete the project. Because of the size of the project, we left our home for two weeks so that the Reliable Men could have complete access to the work space. We returned home to beautiful new floor! Anton came back over to walk us through the project and to ensure our satisfaction. We did find a couple of areas that were impacted by the new flooring, and he made the necessary adjustments until everything was just right. We give Anton and the Reliable Men crew top ratings and would recommend them for your home projects. read more

Anton and Co. helped us with a remodel -- a kitchen and bathroom refresh, new plumbing and electrical, a facelift of an entire floor and numerous smaller items -- and we couldn't be happier. We will definitely be working with him again in the future. read more

Anton and his team have been 100% what the RMC name implies. Reliable and responsive. Did two projects for me both completed in the timeline Anton promised. A shower remodel and back porch stairs. Anton just did a master bathroom remodel for me and it was just a really pleasant experience. I had worked with another company to do some kitchen and bathroom work just last year and Reliable Men was above and beyond. Here are the things I appreciated: 1) Professionalism--the people he works with are all respectful, careful, and very skilled 2) Clean--they kept things nice and tidy and cleaned up after themselves 3) Workmanship--beautifully done 4) Honest and Conscientious--I felt they paid attention to detail and took pride in doing a good job. 5). Responsive--Anton is very easy to communicate with and would make sure I was up to date on what was happening. 6) Kind--just very nice people to interact with Anton was a surgeon in his country before coming to the states. Interestingly, he is quite flexible and modest (could be kind of unusual for surgeons) while he is good at planning and executing his contracting work, (as i would expect for a surgeon.) Reliable Men is pretty busy so it might be a wait, but I would highly highly recommend! It was a five star job that they did and I had absolutely no negatives during this experience. read more

Adding another five star review for Anton and his team at RMC. They renovated THREE bathrooms in our Portland townhome and we couldn't have been happier with the process and the outcome. The bathrooms all turned out beautiful, were done on budget and on schedule and you won't find a nicer, more considerate team to work in your home for the extended period it requires. Anton is a pro with great input on how to make your ideas work. He and his team are excellent craftsmen. I've done a lot of renovation projects and have never had a harder working crew. Our primary bath required a fairly extensive reno with a lot of demo and moving things around for a new configuration. It all came out even better than I had planned. We highly recommend Anton and RMC for any home project you have. read more

We recently worked with Anton and his team at RMC on our kitchen remodel, and we couldn't be happier with how everything turned out. His team did an amazing job updating our floors, a marble backsplash installing an undermount sink and getting us a great deal on a quartz countertop. The whole process was smooth, and the quality of work was excellent. We got quotes from four different companies, and Anton's was competitive. What really stood out, though, was how helpful he was--offering great recommendations without being pushy. He really took the time to understand what we wanted and gave us advice that actually made sense for our space. Communication was a big plus. Anton kept us in the loop the whole time, answered all our questions quickly, and made sure everything stayed on schedule. That kind of reliability made the whole experience way less stressful. Best of all, the project was finished on time, which we really appreciated. His team was professional, efficient, and super detail-oriented. Everything--from the seamless quartz installation to the perfectly aligned backsplash--was done with care. If you're looking for a contractor who knows what they're doing, communicates well, and delivers great results, we highly recommend Anton and RMC. We'd absolutely work with them again! read more

Very pleasant to work with. They were flexible to work around my family's schedule, and to a change in the scope of work from the bid. Cost was competitive, and the quality of work was satisfying. The one part I didn't expect is that they don't suppy the materials for surfaces (tile or flooring), and didn't have anyone to recommend. I appreciate freedom of choice and no conflicts of interest, but it made more work for me to find a product after the job had started. They were one of few businesses that were willing to do all of the parts of the project. Most other bidders were leaving key parts out, so it saved a lot of hassle having them do the whole tub. read more

Anton was an incredible help and contractor to work with for remodeling our floors. We hired him to update our floors in our home from carpet to vinyl planks and we couldn't be happier with the results! He was very kind, polite and super easy to work with. We just couldn't be happier with his service, his attention to detail, his great communication, his knowledge/advice and in general, his congenial presence in our home. He did tile work, moved electrical and plumbing, removed and reset toilet, installed new vanity, mirror, backsplash. He also did a great job making some horrible wall texture look great. Anton and his team were top notch! We interviewed several contractors but Anton provided the most clear and outlined bid, was quick to respond and had a good understanding of what we needed for our bathroom remodel. We hired Anton and team to do a facelift on our bathroom that was stuck in the 60s. Anton and his subcontractors were on time, efficient and always tidied up after themselves. We were able to procure the majority of the supplies ourselves and Anton and his team did the rest of the work in face lifting the bathroom in a total of just over a week, just as he had estimated. On 7/6, I reached out to RMC for help. I had completed 90% of our new patio's tiling before having an unrelated back injury. I knew I'd be unable to complete it anytime soon, so I sought help completing the project so we can enjoy the rest of summer in part of what's to be our "new" yard. I sent photos of everything I'd done so far, and what needed to be completed. Anton replied very fast, willing to help and came to meet the next day to take a look. I showed him all the stone border sheets I had precut already, the grout colors I had, everything in the final stretch just waiting to be installed. He got back to me 3hrs later with a quote and a timeline of a week and a half away. I was already impressed by RMC's portfolio of completed jobs, and was even happier to have found availability that soon! We were originally planned for the week of 7/17, but Anton let me know on 7/11 the team had some openings this week. With a chance of rain on Tuesday and Wednesday, we agreed to schedule for Thursday 7/13. Anton arrived timely on Thursday morning and introduced Alex. Alex did excellent cleaning and prep work on the plank tiles, mosaic and the border edge trim. He installed the stone border, cut and added a few individual pieces of the hex mosaics that needed to be sized to fit, and grouted the planks and mosaics all on Thursday. Friday 7/14, Alex arrived at 9am to finish the grout on the stone border, touch up a few spots on the floor area, and then he, Anton and his father-in-law finished cleanup, and Anton caulked around the two edges that meet the exterior walls. They were done shortly after 11am. Admitting you need help is hard, especially when you've gotten so far on a project you've loved doing at your own pace, (or the pace your little one allows ), and are unsure when you can realistically complete it now with an injury. So, a very big thank you to Anton and the team for being willing to help so far into a project. Some other companies wouldn't help, due to it not being 100% their own work or the size of the project wasn't big enough for them to even consider doing business. I'm thrilled with the result and will be booking RMC for interior projects next! Thank you, thank you, thank you! read more

Reliable Men Construction were absolutely amazing! They were not only extremely reliable, but also did the most fantastic, detailed oriented work. Our project was to update a bedroom to become a master bedroom (with an adjoined bathroom and barn doors leading to the closet). Anton, his father-in-law Alex, and team consistently checked in and confirmed with us on each step of the project, and when we revised the original plan with some changes, they were so helpful and collaborative. It was the best contractor experience we've ever had. They went above and beyond every day and created the most wonderful wall, installed our barn doors and added a new bedroom doorway. We also had an antique doorknob set that we planned to add ourselves at a later date because we needed them fused to the backplates and they went the extra mile and found out how to connect the parts for us, which we so appreciated! The final results are so beautiful and better than we envisioned. Anton and team provided the best service, and we highly recommend them! Reliable Men Construction is the best contractor we've ever hired. They replaced our old alcove tub and vinyl faux tile wraparound with a new tub and real tiles.
