We had a fantastic experience end-to-end with Val from Elite Tile & Remodel. He responded immediately to our request for a quote, came for a visit within a few days, and took time to listen and understand our needs. We wanted to change the location of shower heads in our master bath shower (including re-plumbing) and replace the ceiling fan, but otherwise preserve the existing finish and tilework. Val came up with a thoughtful approach to minimize damage and rework, and offered a very competitive price (unlike several other contractors who wanted to make more extensive changes). He connected us with someone to help select the new hardware, and scheduled the job within a few days of us having the hardware delivered. Val worked incredibly efficiently and thoughtfully, taking just 2 days to complete the job and communicating with us throughout to ensure it was done right (e.g., placement of shower head, color-matching grout for the tile). He even improved the attic duct-work for the ceiling fan without us having to ask. Val and his crew did a wonderful job on two projects at our house: first re-grouting our shower/bath surround and then upgrading our old brick fireplace with beautiful new tile. He had great suggestions on tile for the hearth and wall and quickly enlisted an electrician to help to convert our plug in gas stove to a switch and pull out old fans to make the fireplace clean and modern. He and his brother worked efficiently and cleaned up each night. He was easy to contact with questions and very responsive. Val responded to my asks so quickly. He assessed our situation and was very thorough in isolating the issue. Once he jumped into our tiled shower repair, Val was efficient and such a hard worker. Elite Tile (Val plus a few others at times- plumber, electrician, etc) remodeled my only bathroom and it is amazing! I love it! He carried out my plan perfectly, but also added his own insight that proved to be the right choices (such as towel hook location, raising the vanity light, and style of baseboard trim). (of course he asked before veering from the plan). Val is a craftsman with attention to detail such as planning the subway tiles to be equally balanced on both sides of the beautiful niche and making sure that the floor tiles came up to the right level at the door threshold. He respected my house, myself and my cats. There was never dust or debris left after or even during demo and construction. The only thing that caused his final bill to go over the original estimate was the discovery that the studs behind the original tub alcove wall were not plumb and needed to be shaved down by a good amount- and this was a reasonable amount. I highly recommend Elite Tile & Remodel. The owner, Val, has done three projects for us: Two complete bathroom remodels and a basement remodel. Val is courteous, honest and hard working. During the estimating phases, he quickly brought in subs for things like electrical, so that those estimates could be included in his bid. He also pointed out some issues with our designs and gave us great advice on other options we hadn't thought of. When unexpected problems were uncovered during demolition, like slightly leaking pipes, he was able to fix them immediately, so they didn't have much impact on the schedule. Val was careful during the demolition process that adjacent rooms were not impacted. When he left each evening, the job site was always neat and vacuumed. As Val was doing the tile work, he consulted us on layout options and showed us how the tile would flow before putting it up. Val is an artist at laying tile, choosing each piece so the end result is esthetically pleasing. He did the same when laying the vinyl plank flooring in the basement. Our basement remodel was a major project involving framing for a new fireplace insert, having new recessed lights installed throughout the ceiling, putting down vinyl plank flooring (including having to level parts of the concrete), going from carpeted stairs to wood (which pretty much involved rebuilding the stairs), and installing an entire wall of cabinetry. All of this was done very professionally and was within his estimates. We would definitely have Val back to do additional work for us. read more

I requested an estimate from Elite Tile and had one in a couple of days. The estimate was not the lowest, but all that was listed to be done was impressive. Val also had good suggestions for improving the look of my project. We will meet again tomorrow to be sure we are on the same page regarding what we want done. First impressions are important and Val made a good one. As the project moves along to completion, I will keep notes. Once it is complete, I will write a final review. I contacted several contractors to do a quote, Val immediately responded to my inquiry and within a day or two he was out for a quote. I needed to replace the old tile on the floor of the bathroom to get a heated tile. Immediately, he made aesthetic suggestions and technically suggestions that were insightful. I was going to just replace it w/ the same dreary beige mcmansion tile my home came with and he immediate said, "why not change it to give contrast with something you love." He also new immediately that the electrical wouldn't be enough juice and would need an electrician to bring a line to the bathroom. Which meant, the next day he was back out with Andy to include the electrical work in the quote. He was right, I found a tile I loved for pretty close the same price as the old one and the contrast is just wonderful. Val and his team came daily over about a week in a snow storm to get all the work done. He coordinated w/ the electrician as well. Val was kind, courteous, and his quote w/ the electrical in it was very reasonable. He also did other things he didn't have to like work w/ the electrician to get a heated bidet that I've wanted installed forever (sitting in my garage) He also cut a hole in my solid kitchen counter to finally have my hot water dispenser also sitting in the garage installed. I got other quotes and met with others, no one was more professional, thorough, and showed up day in and day out to do a beautiful job like this. I'm very pleased and will recommended Elite Tile to everyone. Oh and a plus, the people he works with were great and very considerate of my pets which is a bonus. I had called Val asking for fish scale tile to be installed before Thanksgiving. He was happy to work with us and quick to respond despite being busy already. Once the project began, he made sure all our surfaces and floors were protected first. I hired Elite Tile Company on the recommendation of a friend. I had had a nightmare bathroom renovation which was unfinished and the brand new shower walls, ceiling and floors all had to be ripped out and redone properly so the shower could be functional. Val, the owner of Elite Tile, was very patient and thorough in his discussions of what needed to be done to fix the problem, was able to start soon after giving us a quote and always showed up ON TIME, (for me, this has rarely been the case), and worked without interruption for long hours most of the days he was in our home.
