Anton is incredible and you should hire him for your next renovation. He's professional, knowledgeable, honest, fair, punctual and all around a good guy. I've already hired him to do some more work following the main renovation and I'll be hiring him for more future work. Now for some details: We bought an apartment in Portland but we were still living in NYC, so the entire renovation was done remotely. Anton was very easy to communicate with. He handled receiving all the materials and fixtures, and even let me send some items to his home (like a bathtub!) so it doesn't disturb my new neighbors. He also brought in my regular mail. I actually got compliments from my neighbors for how Anton's workers helped them with some random stuff. Anton promised and delivered on finishing the renovation before we moved in. While it was a pretty tight schedule, I kept making it harder on Anton by increasing the scope as the renovation progressed (because I was so happy with the work). Even though I kept adding more work, Anton was still able to finish everything by the time we moved in. He and his team are very dedicated hard workers. There are no surprises when you get the bill either, prices are given upfront and that's what you see at the end. As for the work itself - very high quality throughout the vast range of different tasks (flooring, replacing exterior windows, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, replacing kitchen counter etc.). Anton was able to squeeze every inch of space, upgrading our kitchen substantially - shifting some existing cabinets to make more room for a bigger fridge, increasing the size of the sink to the absolute maximum given the existing cabinets (which we didn't want to replace) and even installing an imported faucet that doesn't match the US voltage (for boiling water) or plumbing fittings. We met Anton and the Reliable Men crew when they were working on a major renovation next door to our house. With the homeowner's permission, Anton took us on a tour of the work that had been completed. We were very impressed and asked Anton to come to our house and give us his thoughts on installing new flooring. Before receiving his estimate, he asked us to go to a nearby store to see what flooring options were available to us. After we narrowed it down to 2 or 3, we met with Anton again and he explained the pluses and minuses of each of our options. Once we made our choice, we met again to receive our estimate and an approximation of how long it would take to complete the project. Because of the size of the project, we left our home for two weeks so that the Reliable Men could have complete access to the work space. We returned home to beautiful new floor! Anton came back over to walk us through the project and to ensure our satisfaction. On 7/6, I reached out to RMC for help. I had completed 90% of our new patio's tiling before having an unrelated back injury. I knew I'd be unable to complete it anytime soon, so I sought help completing the project so we can enjoy the rest of summer in part of what's to be our "new" yard. I sent photos of everything I'd done so far, and what needed to be completed. Anton replied very fast, willing to help and came to meet the next day to take a look. I showed him all the stone border sheets I had precut already, the grout colors I had, everything in the final stretch just waiting to be installed. He got back to me 3hrs later with a quote and a timeline of a week and a half away. I was already impressed by RMC's portfolio of completed jobs, and was even happier to have found availability that soon! We were originally planned for the week of 7/17, but Anton let me know on 7/11 the team had some openings this week. With a chance of rain on Tuesday and Wednesday, we agreed to schedule for Thursday 7/13. Anton arrived timely on Thursday morning and introduced Alex. Alex did excellent cleaning and prep work on the plank tiles, mosaic and the border edge trim. He installed the stone border, cut and added a few individual pieces of the hex mosaics that needed to be sized to fit, and grouted the planks and mosaics all on Thursday. Friday 7/14, Alex arrived at 9am to finish the grout on the stone border, touch up a few spots on the floor area, and then he, Anton and his father-in-law finished cleanup, and Anton caulked around the two edges that meet the exterior walls. They were done shortly after 11am. Admitting you need help is hard, especially when you've gotten so far on a project you've loved doing at your own pace, (or the pace your little one allows ), and are unsure when you can realistically complete it now with an injury. So, a very big thank you to Anton and the team for being willing to help so far into a project. Some other companies wouldn't help, due to it not being 100% their own work or the size of the project wasn't big enough for them to even consider doing business.
