I got her as a…read more9 month old puppy, and she immediately made short shrift of my entire, 25-year-old (pretty rotted) perimeter fence. Not a small job, and an emergency one, because she LOVED running around the neighbors' yards. Lucian and his Dad braved the elements on extremely short notice, and built an entire new fence (mostly in the rain) for a great price. They gave me lots of upgrades, like unknotted wood, and thicker footers, and were incredibly fast and efficient. Its beautiful. That should have been enough, but - no - then my about six months later my back neighbors got their own Bernadoodle puppy, and the two dogs decided they didn't want a fence, so my pitty figured out how to pound her head against the boards until they bowed, then get her jaws on the wood, and tear through it. Lucian agreed that metal roof panels attached to the back fence would probably work (either that or an electric cattle fence), so he and his son came back out with the panels, cut them to fit, and spent a day attaching them, which - it turns out - is not as easy as it sounds. Again, quick service and excellent value. This family business, NW Modern, is fantastic, and I highly recommend them. And yes - it appears the metal roof panels are working!

If you need work done on your house, hire Rob. I can't sing his praises loudly enough…read more Two years ago, my husband and I purchased a house that is 100 years old. It is in decent shape, but we wanted to do a lot of work to turn it into our dream house. Rob has been our go-to man throughout this extensive process, and we can't imagine having done it without him. In fact, without him, I don't think it could have gotten done, or rather it would have been MUCH harder (me having to find people for each job), and slower. Rob can do everything. He has replaced every door in our house, all door knobs, hinges and other hardware, all lighting fixtures. He has updated the closets and replaced closet doors. He has replaced our front door and the entire frame. He took out and then covered over this weird door that made no sense and that I wanted to simply be a wall. We want to renovate both bathrooms, and he will do this, and I know he will complete them in a timely manor and that his work will be excellent. He will also be installing a hot tub for us. As I write this, Rob is replacing a rotten stretch of fencing in our backyard and a gardening shed that is attached to the fence. Oh, and how can I forget the most significant project he did for us? He created a custom floor to ceiling bookshelf that spans the entire wall of our living room, and it is beautiful. Rob is professional, skilled, honest, and responsive (he returns phone calls quickly!!!!), and his work is excellent. (As I said, our house is 100 years old, so it's full of irregularities, and Rob has mastered all of them to create exactly what we wanted.) Rob can do everything. His knowledge and skills are vast. In the future, whenever I want anything done, Rob will be my go-to contractor. I cannot recommend Rob highly enough.

Friendly, knowledgeable, and trustworthy, Rob is certainly our guy going forward!

He is an excellent craftsman who clearly takes pride in his work and approached the project with the utmost care and thoughtfulness. I feel like he would have used the same level of attention on his own home as he did while working on ours. He was reliable, his communication was excellent from scheduling to willingness to discuss the project including getting collaborative input from us to assure we were happy with choices made from design to materials and that we were all on the same page with the finished product and budget. In general he was just a lovey human being to work with and a joy to have around! We wouldn't hesitate to ask him back and we recommend him highly with zero reservations. I absolutely agree with all of the many positvie things that people have said in the reviews here. I'm so happy we found him! Thank you so much Erik, we truly appreciate you!

We felt that he had the best plan on how to tackle the project and took into consideration the historic nature of the home as well as our concerns around designing the rebuild to use materials that would age well over time while while also maintaining the house's historical character. Erik was awesome to work with -- he kept in touch throughout the project, finished on time and on budget, and the end product looks amazing. Honestly, we were sad when the project was finished because he's also just a really cool, fun person to have around. We will definitely be hiring him again the next time we have a need for a contractor. Can't recommend him highly enough.

My management company hired them to place a…read morenew roof in one of my properties since winter is super windy, and the shingles take a beating. After so many back-and-forth communications via phone, zoom, and emails, and after the initial assessment, We went with a brand-new architectural shingle, underlayments, and water membranes. There is a whole lot of technology going on the roof nowadays. It took the crew of four people about three days to complete the job. We decided at the last minute to add ice and a water shield. They put a four-foot wide panel that goes across the bottom. If you do not have something under the shingles to take the water and keep it from penetrating your roof- it's like not having a roof at all. Excellent service, on time for inspection, and competitive price. Truly professional individuals, the working crew is very courteous. The cleanup was excellent; no nail was in sight to puncture my tires. Five stars all the way.

Yelp sent my project to this company for what reason, I do not know. They have less than 5 reviews,…read moreand they're not good. To top it off, they're not a BBB business and their estimate experience is nothing less than creepy. I needed 2 skylights replaced as one showed leakage during a huge rainstorm. The estimator arrived and took 5 minutes inside the actual bathrooms and then 55 more minutes trying to make me feel forced into hiring this company. The estimator went to his car to work up the estimate only to come back immediately with his computer and notepad. He sat at my table literally as if I was at a timeshare and had to have his company install these amazing Velux skylights. He went through each step of the removal and install process all the way down to the flashing and how it was a necessary part of installing a new skylight. I really could not care less about this as all I want as a consumer is somebody to come and do the job correctly. He would not give me a price after repeated requests, and kept taking long pauses, which made me feel completely uncomfortable as he stared at me, trying to think of what to think next to make me want to purchase these skylights. Finally, when I told him that I actually needed to go, and I just need the estimate at this point, he wrote down $9200 on the notepad and showed it to me. When I told him there was no way I would be even close to paying that amount. He stopped and began thinking and paused for a long time again. Then he said, "let me call my boss and see what I can do." At which point I asked him how much the skylights actually cost themselves. He refused to give me the answer and later I found out that at the Velux website, they have their own installers, and the range of cost for the job for both of the skylights should be topped off at 4500! Nonetheless, I told the man that if he was able to work up a better estimate he could do that in his car or in his office. However, we were going to be able to make it work. He continued to stay there for several minutes to talk me into wanting to go with him and at the end I felt so uncomfortable that I stood up looked at him and said "I need you to leave now." Couple tips for consumer: -I had the job done for $2800 same sunlights and it took 3 people less than 1.5 hours. -check if a business has real reviews and if they say they don't really do social media because they're so busy, it's a red flag. -no one should have to sit in your home to complete an estimate once they see the work needed. -if you feel uncomfortable, don't double guess yourself.
