Manny looked at it and said they would take off the sill board, shoot water from the outside and see if they could tell where it was coming from by looking from the inside. Well Carlos first reapplied calking to the top going across the window, let it dry and shot water. We couldn't see any water coming inside so he installed a new sill board along with interior calking. Here is the rub: THERE IS CALKING ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE FRAME AND CALKING AROUND THE WINDOW THEY DID INSTALL. THE BAD CALKING WAS NOT FROM THEIR JOB THEY DID BUT THEY FIXED IT AND REPLACED THE SILL AND THEIR WORKERS DID NOT EVEN MAKE THE ERROR!! I am blown away with Varguez Exteriors! Let me say that I went through 35 companies trying to find both the best deal and a highly rated company. Varguez won that contest. They actually gave us the lowest bid, Tyler led 3 other men to put up 3 large picture windows overlooking the Columbia river. They use very high quality Cardinal igu's which slip right in. They constructed a high off the ground plank avoiding all our front yard plants not hurting or disturbing anything! I watched them for over 3 hours paying attention to small details and not just rushing to get it done. THEY REALLY CARE ABOUT QUALITY WORK! When finished, they had everything really cleaned up and very careful to respect our things inside and outside the home. ALL of them (Manny, Tyler, Carlos, David and Traci) were VERY kind and polite. Tyler was careful to have everything completely done right and cleaned up to our satisfaction. We found Vyacheslav Kalanin to be very friendly, professional and a highly reliable craftsman who is very detailed, hard working and focuses on every aspect of the job. We contacted Vyacheslav initially for a estimate to repair some poorly installed hardieplank siding on our home that was bucking up and had damaged corners broken off. Vyacheslav removed the top half of wall and used some of the siding to save in materials and repaired wall correctly. We had several additional Areas around the home that needed siding repaired as well as a proper repair of a upstairs patio door. Vyacheslav is very knowledgable on the proper construction and installation of windows and doors and explained the process and made the repairs for us. He also repaired our rotted wood columns and installed a better design with a angled trim around them to allow water to run off them and prevent water damage. But I do need to point out some glaring details about this project as a note to myself more than anyone else before hiring this company. I first reached out to them in November last year and Manuel responded back very promptly using the odd messaging system Yelp uses. We traded a few messages, and Justin came out not long after to do a survey on the broken window in the bathroom which looked like it had been hit with a BB or a bullet. He gave me an estimate on replacing that window but pointed out that a lot of my other windows either had a lot of condensation build-up and/or mold beginning to grow out of the dampness. I ended up making the executive call to replace them all. It was a perfectly enjoyable hour or two discussing and then finishing up paperwork. He said he'd be in touch in about 4 - 6 weeks and left. That's where communication on an unprompted basis ended. I waited for almost 2 months before I picked up on the old Yelp thread because no one ever reached out during that period. Manuel told me twice he'd get back to me, but he never did. Someone named Skylar called me and told me Manuel had left on family leave. What kind of professional leaves his customers without notifying them that they are being handed to another representative? Then Skylar handed me off to Luke and despite my request to give me a heads up so I could let my work know if I needed to be home, he never confirmed anything. A third party delivery service showed up while I was sleeping and I had to clear out my garage so they had room. Then half an hour later Alex and his team showed up to start installing. I'm lucky my job was flexible enough to take me not coming in that week, but for other customers, do they have that kind of agility? It took them two days total to do the main job and then finish. After that Alex showed me the work and I signed a paper that he said was more for his team (I do a lot of projects for work and I'm pretty sure they were contractors for ASW). After that Luke said he had to do a walk for job completion that was never followed up on. I called him as promised and he said he'd get back to me, but he didn't. Then came the Docusign asking me to verify the job walk was done. I didn't sign it, thinking he had to do his walk. This was a $20k job. This is the first house I've ever owned. I wanted to be sure. He then said the job walk was done and I signed off on the work which meant the paper I signed with Alex was the final sign off, but he could have just explained this and saved us an email thread. One final laughable detail is his email to me didn't have an attachment, so his marketing team had to send me the photo he referenced to verify I signed. All in all, this whole process left me feeling like I was an inconvenience to them rather than a customer. The plus side: The windows look great. They reduce outside temperature and noise at a noticeable level. But ASW is just the coordinator. Other companies manufacture the windows, deliver them and install them. The one thing they should excel at is communication with the customer, but they decidedly don't.

They resided my entire house (after another company did an awful job that resulted in water damage) and replaced several windows and installed a cedar soffit. Communication could use improvement, and I would not recommend them to replace any exterior doors (their bid was insanely high). There were a few issues along the way (damaged meter box, dented gutter) that I wish would have been brought to my attention, but everything was addressed and in the end the crew went above and beyond to make me happy. They did an excellent job installing a beautiful cedar soffit, which is now my favorite part of my house.
