Victor with QMR was prompt, professional, and proactive. He responded to my request and was at my home within 2 hrs. We found a small leak coming through a vent from our roof. He was able to find the issue within 10 minutes and sealed off the area in 20 min. He found there were other areas on our roof that could use some preventative care. He later supplied a reasonable quote and offered to come back the following morning. We had other options but knew we would go with him. The job was finished the next day in about an hr. Leak is gone, and roof is further reinforced. The weather this week in particular has been a cold, windy, and wet one. There was even a light dusting of snow the night before Victor came to work on our roof. We appreciated his proactiveness, and friendly demeanor in our situation. It's been just a couple of months since Quality Master Roofing replaced our cedar shake roof and gutters with Certainteed Presidential Shake and 6K metal gutters with leaf catchers. I couldn't be more pleased with the job they did. Vitor was great to deal with during the whole process. During the quoting process I told him about concerns I had with the existing roof (venting, skylight and gutters) and he made recommendations on how they could/would address them. His quote was straight forward (no confusing options or upsells) and his team delivered what was expected. They started and finished the job on schedule. They did a great job keeping the work site clean at the end of every day and after final cleanup it was difficult to tell they had even been there. We've since had some heavy wind and rain storms come through our area and the roof and gutters have been solid. I really like the 6K metal gutters, and the leaf catchers are a very nice feature. Context: I have not had Quality Master Roofing actively do work yet nor have I received enough quotes to compare yet. This review focuses on their initial communication, thoroughness of their service. I will update as my roofing adventure progresses. We contacted QMR "late Monday night" (2am Tuesday). By noon Tuesday they'd gotten back to us with a potential spot for inspection arrival time 2-3. There was a wreck on the freeway. As 3 approached and he hadn't made it we were worried but noticed an e-mail had arrived notifying us he was running late due to an accident. He arrived at the updated time. Throughout that process they had extremely quick / top notch communication. Extremely appreciated compared to the experience we'd had with other contractors. As far as the inspection itself Victor was extremely on point. He was the 5th roofing contractor we've had out and was only one of two that didn't mostly dismiss my concerns that this was a roof leak due to our roof being fairly new and otherwise good shape. He also honed directly into the cause and showed several installation issues that needed remediation. To top it off his first suggestion was to check who did the install and upon recognizing them / knowing that they usually do good work he said that I should talk to them instead of him since it likely would be covered under warranty. I appreciated that touch when it was a totally unnecessary gesture that may very well cost him the job if the repair is covered. To wrap it up he's writing two quotes -- one for localized repair and one for larger section replacement depending on current budget. I figured it was assumed he would suggest full replacement but when talking through the options he made a reasonable case for why both could be justified. All told I've talked to too many roofers in the past week but I was glad I dragged myself through the process once more. Even if I end up getting work warrantied for this job I'm definitely going to include Quality Master & Victor in the round of quotes when it comes time to put a new roof on. read more

I have a house with Hardie Plank siding. I wanted the planks on the windward side of the house on the second story to be nailed as a precaution because we get pretty high winds on the mountain we live on. I also wanted the tops of the windows caulked. Again, as a precaution. Victor discovered that the Hardie Plank was too thin and the nails were going through the boards. He was honest and told me this instead of pretending to do the job. He did complete the caulking. I noticed some wood damage from water just under my roof in an outside corner. I asked for estimates. to my great fortune, Victor came early the following day . He was professional and friendly, which is a rare combination in my experience. He quickly looked at my roof and determined that no repair was necessary. He took pictures and showed me exactly why there was water funneling down to the underneath wood section. I was completely surprised and pleased. He then said a bit of flashing might help move more water into the gutters and added that bit in a few minutes.
