I needed a custom breakfast nook built in our condo to accommodate the needs of our growing family. I shopped around a LOT and got a wide range of estimates, ideas and time frames, none of which suited our budget or needs. (Not to mention, very few contractors had examples of their work to look over.) Fortunately, I stumbled upon TrimLogic and was impressed with the pictures posted and his reviews. Craig replied to my inquiry immediately and was able to provide a reasonable estimate (especially considering the level of his work). I had a very specific idea of what I wanted and he was able to work with my design and improve it! He added the little details that really made this piece shine like matching the moulding, add little extras, installing soft shut hinges and appropriate finishes. He convinced me to stain the bench top to match my cabinets and leave the base and wainscotting white. What a brilliant idea! The bench visually flows into my kitchen cabinets without overwhelming the area with all white or all wood. He thought of all the things that I didn't even know I should be concerned about. Craig was a very respectful of my family and home during the installation process. The majority of the bench build and painting/staining occurred offsite. This meant less mess, noise and smell in my house. Craig arrived on time (or would text me if running late) and he always cleaned up every day! He was conscious to protect our walls, hardwood floor and even the outdoor area where he worked. He even worked around my toddler's nap schedule and kept the noise to a minimum during that time. I don't need to sit here and describe the quality and beauty of his work. You can see & read this for yourself in the pictures and reviews on Yelp, Facebook and his website. I really appreciated his communication promptness; he always responded to me immediately. Also, he managed his time and budget extremely well. He gave us an installation date (and length of time) and did not run over nor did he underestimate his budget. Finally, he took pride in his work and his company and made sure the process and end product lived up to his standards. My only warning? Act fast ... he books up quickly!! From the moment we chatted on yelp, Anton was super communicative and transparent, so even though he doesn't have the lowest rate, I decided to use him anyway. He promised to come the next day. I just wanted a blackout curtain installed and it involved parts I didn't (still don't) know how to put together myself. He showed up and showed up on time (on a Sunday), even a few minutes early. He did the job extremely well within the estimated timeframe and did not pressure me to leave a positive review. He was respectful and efficient. Amazing handyman! Turns out they can't do THOSE counters, okay, fine. Let's still work together for the flooring. We went out and bought $500 worth of material, had been in contact for two weeks about the materials, scheduled a day for them to start BUT one business day before they were supposed to start the work they told me they can't do this job because it's angled tile. Not once did they ever say that was something they couldn't do. Now we have hundreds of dollars worth of material sitting in our garage. Unprofessional on every level. Do not hire these people.

With the heat we've had the past few summers and then the snow that seems to be a yearly event now, we thought it was time to get a really good widow upgrade. We also wanted out house painted after installation and Clear Choice set that up for us as well. (See my review for Triple A Painting). What we loved most about dealing with Clear Choice Windows & Doors was the personalized service we received. They have a large selection of window frame materials to choose from and our choice of fiberglass was an easy one. It was explained to us that fiberglass windows are stronger than both vinyl and wood, making them incredibly resilient to weather and climate -- perfect for PNW homeowners. From start to finish, our team of window installers provided friendly service, excellent craftsmanship, and it took only two days to install the 10 new windows in our home. Before, during and after, the team cleaned up and kept the work site tidy at all times. There was minimal damage to our landscaping as well. We can feel a definite difference in the inside temperature of our house since the new windows were installed. Our AC doesn't seem to work as hard and it takes less time to cool off in the summer and to heat in the winter. The outside look is classy and fits well with the style of our house and the neighborhood. We highly recommend Clear Choice Windows & Doors if you're looking for new windows.
