Unfortunately, the beginning of the project was a bit of cluster and there were too many cooks in the kitchen, which created problems communicating. The project was to replace a fireplace in our family room and kitchen and we worked with a general contractor for the installation and structural elements and he recommended Creation Stone for the tiling portion of the project. What was difficult as the customer was understanding where the general contractor's job left off and Habib's began and where, as the customer, we fit in the process. In particular, we were stuck trying to locate some materials (a large slab) for the job. The general contractor told us to work with the tiling contractor, but we weren't getting return calls in a timely fashion, and then things stalled. And this would be a good time to throw myself under the bus. I am 'particular' and want everything just right, so from a vendor's perspective, I'm probably not the easiest client. We're not talking Veruca Salt levels of "I Want it Now!"[1]. More like, please call me back and explain why is this so difficult? After a fruitless search for the mythical slab, I ended up changing the materials to items easier to locate, designed the project and placed the order myself. So, I didn't have the same experience described by another reviewer. There wasn't a lot of hand holding or visiting showrooms together in our case. When it was time to begin the installation, everything went pretty smoothly from there. Due to some structural limitations, our contractor had to place our fireplace in an odd location so that made things a little more challenging when it came to tiling (Seriously. This was the story of this project). Habib made adjustments and in the end, the results were beautiful. I also appreciated that when he made an error during part of the installation, he made it right. So, if you have materials in hand and are looking for quality installation, I definitely recommend Creation Stone. If you are looking for someone to waive a magic wand and poof have everything completely done the next day, then adjust your expectations. After all, none of us wants to be a 'bad egg'. We were very…read moreoverwhelmed about choosing materials and coming up with the overall design for these two makeovers, but Habib held our hand and met us at the showroom to assist us. He made recommendations and guided us to appropriate materials and designs that would make our kitchen and master bath beautiful. Habib is precise, his work is perfection, and the end result is a kitchen (and master bath!) that each and every time I enter the room I am so happy he helped us with this project. He is very creative, and used several different types of tiles, designs and borders that make my kitchen unique and GORGEOUS. As I am a cook who spends a lot of time in the kitchen, this is very important to me. On a personal note, Habib is very professional, courteous, friendly and always tries not to inconvenience the homeowner. He is quiet, works quickly, and cleans up the work site daily. There were days when I came home from work that the only evidence that he had been on the job site was the progress he made....no materials left behind, damage or dust. I so appreciated that. After that honest and quick communication I decided to try again for a repair I needed to a kitchen drawer. This time the response, again fast, was a yes and a time was offered. The service provider called on his way and arrived within the window. He was able to fix the drawer very fast, having time to do some sanding for me afterwards. The total due ended up being what was estimated upon scheduling. I definitely wouldn't hesitate to use Hedgehog again in the future.

I had him do a shower, bathroom floor, half wall and backsplash and a backsplash in a pantry. He tore out the shower tile job that was started and could identify all the things that were done wrong. I would call Bill a tile geek. He keeps up with innovations and changes in the industry but doesn't just jump on to any new product. Neither is he one of the many contractors who keeps doing things the same old way rather than adopting some good advances. The choices he makes with his materials are reasoned and sensible. The materials are good quality and made for low maintenance and longevity. He could explain his choices to me and it made good sense. He is a certified tile installer and it shows. He never failed to show up nor changed the schedule. He stayed with the jobs till they were completed. He was reliable and easy to work with. The work site was always tidy and not obtrusive. He worked with another contractor, Jace, and together they got the job done quickly and efficiently. I am a homeowner (not a professional contractor) and worked directly with Bill. That went very smoothly and we worked together easily on choices (like grout color, trim options, layout). I was so happy with his work and the ease of working with him I tore out another bathroom so he can tile it. I also found his pricing to be competitive and it saved me thousands to hire him (and other trades) directly than to hire an all-inclusive company. We Recently had dry wall repairs done in our home prior to painting. Out of 10 dry wall repairs 1…read morewas overlooked. It was marked to be repaired but just painted and not repaired. The two Workman were nice and very polite. Usually on time However they did not pay attention to details and preparation before painting. Furniture was covered but areas that should be protected from the ceiling and wall paint were not sufficiently masked off or protected from paint splatter. Two areas on the living room carpeting had good size paint drops and looked as if the workers tried to clean the area but what ever they used, left the carpet discolored . There should have been better protection while painting. Also some ceiling paint splatter on pleated shades. Again they did not protect the area. One hard wood floor vent had paint drips in between the grates. Home owner was able to remove it with efforts. Business owner apologized for the incomplete dry wall repair and said he would send a different crew to fix. He Apologized for the carpet spots with no solution. Our advice is to instruct his crew to pay more attention to protecting the home owners areas that aren't part of the work they are hired for and to detail work around moldings, doorways , windows and fixtures. We had only one area of white woodwork that was painted, the stair railing. Result was satisfactory but not as well done as previous areas in the past. Homeowner chose not to have any other woodwork painted and is satisfied with that choice. The home owner was very prepared prior for the job to start, having moved furniture, light fixtures, wall electrical plates, drapes and obvious obstructions before the workers arrived. This handyman was chosen because he could provide both dry wall repair and painting. His bid for the job was fair but the completed overall work by his crew was below average more due to the painting including lack of care in the preparation and detailing. We are left to do lots of touch up areas around moldings, window and door casings, in the rooms that were painted.
