Where to start. If I was in the business of removing toxic substances from someone's home, I would make sure it was done right, and proper. I get that we were a small 3k job compared to your city contracts, but I expected more than this. We were told this normal, its how it is. Our Real Estate agent, several other contractors, and others in DIY groups were shocked this was done by a licensed business. The first time we asked for the work to be completed, the employee would only do work as pointed out by my wife, rather identify issues and remedy them. That leads me to believe that A) they dont know WHAT a good job is, or B) they have no interest in doing it correctly, just the minimum required. I waited a week to allow the anger I felt to subside, but leaving asbestos dust on the walls, counters, and sills is still causing me to feel some way. We are hiring someone to undo some of the damages done, and prep the ceiling for painting, which they may not tell you is what you should prep for and is "perfectly normal" for this type of work. We are still reaching out to others and will likely contact the Contractors Board and DEQ, to make sure that proper steps were indeed taken and that qualified work was completed. For those that have received quality work from them, I am happy for you and am glad your family wont have to worry about asbestos or whatever work you had done, but the work, to me, should be reliable and consistent across the board. Thanks for reading and hope this review helps. EDIT: Wife left a review on Google and was contacted, this was resolved in a satisfactory manner.

We sold our home and the buyer wanted a sewer pipe fixed! Tore my whole yard apart without any regard to how it looked before! They came into our cudlasac and block people's driveways including mine, did not ask just did it and did not care! Asked them to move and it took three hours of their lazy ass to finally move! Good thing not a medical emergency!!! When done they left dirt and rock in the street and a big ass mess of my yard which I know was a selling point for the purchaser! This is the first of many different post to let everyone know of your crappy job!

Before to include wood partition Alpha removed for me.

My realtor recommended Alpha for the testing of popcorn ceiling on a house I was buying and drove my sample to their office. They were extremely kind and helpful. The testing came back with asbestos. They gave me an estimate to remove the popcorn ceiling and I schedule the service. Dame and Ally were very helpful and accommodating with all my concerns and questions. I also needed to have the ceiling textured and painted and received another bid from a different company. Matt Micheletty came out to assess the job and thought it would be more convenient and time efficient to have them do everything. There was a wooden partition I needed removed and they were happy to include this in the job. They were quite a bit higher on the bid to do the texture. After discussing this with Matt he went over and above with a great solution. He contacted the other company to have them do the work and said if we were both satisfied with the results he would adjust the invoice to reflect the difference in pricing. In buying this home there were a few projects to be done. Before starting any of them I needed the popcorn ceiling removed first. It is almost impossible to write all the positive things, the outstanding service, the professionalism of all the workers, and the great job they ALL did. I had NO idea how much was involved in the removal of a popcorn ceiling, and to texture it afterwards. The photos attached are just of the living room area before removal, and the after pictures include the fireplace makeover, new flooring and paint. I HIGHLY recommend Alpha Environmental. They far exceeded my expectations and pleasantly surprised me with keeping their word.

ALPHA "NORMAL' DAMAGE. EVEN DEEPER DAMAGE TO WOOD TRIM THAN THE FIRST PHOTO.

I wanted to find someplace that wasn't going to just landfill the stuff. The number Yelp was originally showing was just a number which forwarded to Total Reclaim's Seattle facility but, Portland's Metro Recycling hot-line had the latest info. on Total Reclaim's Portland location. I dropped my Styrofoam at Total Reclaim's drop-off site at 5805 NE Columbia Blvd, two blocks west of NE 60th, and on the north side of Columbia Blvd. Their local phone number is 503-281-1899. Total Reclaim, Inc. accepts all sorts of stuff (computers, home and office electronics, TVs, stereo gear, even some appliances, you name it!) and it all gets 'reclaimed' so none of it ends up in any landfills. So, you can do-the-right-thing, and get rid of that garage full of electronics, appliances, plastics, styrofoam, and fluorescents, all with a short trip to NE Columbia Blvd.!

Enter Total Reclaim: The easy eco-friendly alternative to ditching your unconventional recyclables at the dump. I stuffed my trunk and back seat full of Styrofoam blocks, and made a quick trip over to Total Reclaim. After much debate, I needed to have the foundation that had been poured removed and fill in the hole. I was really struggling to find anyone to even bid the project, let alone take the job. Rob, the owner, showed up, bid the job to my new GC, was forthcoming about when he could start and what the costs would be. He was no nonsense, good for his word. Showed up with his crew and equipment the day he said he was going to, and every day till the job was done. He came across many issues with what the previous contractor had done, but he also came to me with solutions and the means to fix them. You have to love a guy who brings you answers to the problems you didn't even know you had! It was one of those, "this couldn't have gone any smoother" transactions. His crew was very careful with their equipment and made sure not to damage any of the surrounding areas, i.e. sidewalks, trees, fences, the neighbors cars. I'm pretty sure that man could tie a shoelace with that excavator thing he was using. Rob did everything he said he was going to do and even more. He went above and beyond. It's very rare, and hard to find honorable, no nonsense guys like that these days. This is an amazing team. A well run business, and just an all around great company to work with. I couldn't be happier. It's hard to see in the pictures, but the "after" photos show where Rob actually had some rich soil brought in and planted grass seed in it for me!! He didn't have to do that, but he did because that's just the kind of guy he is. One of a kind for sure.

Both our agent and the seller's agent highly recommended American On Site (AOS) for the work. AOS gave a fair and detailed bid in a timely manner. Despite work being backed up across the area due to weather, they were able to start the process quickly. As we discovered, putting in septic systems is a multi step process, requiring visits from the county during planning and building. Throughout the entire process, AOS kept us informed about everything that was going on, gave us accurate estimates as to the time that it would take, and worked with us to overcome a very difficult hurdle with the county when there was a discrepancy in the records in regards to the house that could have led to a dramatic increase in cost. AOS finished the work when they said they were going to, and did an absolutely beautiful job with it. Every person that we dealt with from AOS, from Chris who planned the job, to the wonderful grandpa that finished putting the yards back together with an expert touch on the excavator, to the very patient girls in the office who responded to all my numerous questions and concerns, were friendly, knowledgable, and professional. In sum, I would highly recommend AOS for any septic job.
