I was aware of what I thought was just " mildew" under my bed- my dog comes in from the rain, sleeps under there, little air flow- I didn't think much of it. But my cough got more severe and I was using albuterol several times a day. I was kinda freaked out about how out of breath I was. So I decided to tear the bed down and shampoo the carpet...everything got worse from there. When I shampooed I wore a mask, but the next day I went into the room and the fans were blowing all around, and I immediately had a severe reaction and was violently vomiting. I had to go to urgent care for a nebulizer treatment and steroids. I had to sleep on the couch and couldn't even go in without an n95 mask, and would still have an asthma attack afterwards. I was SO SICK! I even had to call into work 2 times. This was crazy, though, right? Just mold! What is going on? Then I read about mycotoxin illness and it's bad! So I look for mold remediation on the internet, talk to some people and ask about experiences...and come to the conclusion this is going to be an expensive chemical nightmare that only ends temporarily... But I keep looking and come across BIORGANIC MOLD REMOVAL. I'm suspicious of a bait and switch like all the other " safe" remediation had lead me on with... But no! Here was something that made total sense! Mold eating probiotics- a living and lasting continuous solution that was even healthy! I did some research and found out that not only do probiotics eat mold, they help treat people with mycotoxin illness! This is a true scientifically backed statement- look it up on PubMed- the only place to go for research based medical facts and studies. So I did it! Peter ( owner operator) told me I could stay in the house while he treated, but that I could expect some signs of detox myself! I was like WHAT? DETOX? YES! Let's do it! So what blew my mind was how much better I felt after he was done treating! No joke! The probiotics have sort of a woody, yeasty smell to them, but that dissipates after a few hours. They don't leave a residue on windows or anything else. I even had him do my truck! Peter showed up at my house on time and told me that he wasn't planning on treating at that visit, because he had used up all his product on the previous job and would just like to evaluate that day. I became panicky- I was SO SICK! When I told him how sick I was he said he would go get the supplies and come back right away- an hour out of his way! It showed me that he really cared about me as a human, not just a customer. I am all about Biorganic mold removal, and you know what? He is the ONLY game in town with this special service- something Oregonians would be way into doing if they were aware of his company. I hope to expand people's knowledge with my review!

We use them once monthly and it has been a sanity saver. I fantasize about hiring them for a weekly visit... but in our case it may be some time before we're spending that kind of budget. There have been a couple of cleanings here or there that didn't meet my expectations, and they have always been receptive to feedback and willing to take steps to make it right. (The very first clean, left a watermark from a mop bucket on our wood floor and I lost my marbles, but they made efforts and suggestions to fix the issue quickly). In my book customer service goes a LONG WAY. BUT also, the majority of cleanings have been fantastic and having my house clean enough to notice a mark on the floor, or a window blind that didn't get dusted is huge. Your first visit you should plan on a deep clean, it does two things 1) it helps you and them get to know each other and your houses needs much better 2) it's easier to maintain monthly cleanings with a house that has already had the grout scrubbed. Finally, I appreciate that we can add deep cleaning on specific items as needed. One month, we added just a deep oven clean and it was super helpful. Professional, friendly, thorough, and a super easy to navigate online system coupled with helpful humans on the other end. I scheduled a deep cleaning for a townhouse we will be moving into. Clean arrival called me to cancel less than a 24 hours before the scheduled appointment after multiple confirmations via emails, text and phone call. Leaving me scrambling to find a replacement since I scheduled moving company and other things the day after this cleaning appointment. The reason Clean Arrival gave out was staff member calling in sick, which in my opinion is despite it being likely the truth just a way to try to justify short staffing issue. I suggested Clean Arrival to move existing reoccurring client to a later day so they can fit me in but was told that's not an option without looking into it or trying. I am not here to bash Clean Arrival on their cleaning qualify. I am sure they do a fine job base on other reviews. But if you want reliable cleaning service that respect your time and able to be flexible when issue occurs, find another company. Short staff is not an excuse to cancel last minute.

In the process that nicked the tile below and the cabinet door above. Using a hole saw instead of a hammer would be the way I would have gone about the task. The legs of the heater they used to dry the floor scratched my tile. The tile that I have has been discontinued and I can't find a replacement. My insurance company does not cover that damage. The offered me a discount of $134.10, not nearly enough to cover the damage. The discount ended up being $200, but still not enough to cover the damage. I also stopped them from cutting a hole in some drywall, had they walked around to see what was on the other site they would have noticed that the wall was open because we were installing a new shower. In fact they would have seen our contractors face through the hole, because they were working in that room at the time. I called them as courtesy to let them know that I would be leaving an honest review of my experience with them. I would most definitely not engage SERVPRO if this happens to me again.
