I had a leak in my kitchen, right behind my fridge. I discovered the leak early on a Friday morning, when water was coming up from the hardwood floors. I called 3-4 places, only calling places that had good reviews. I was quoted next business day or end of day, with fees for evening visits. I called PAC West and they told me they would move there schedule around to come out and look at the leak. They arrived within an hour and started working on the water mitigation, stopping the leak from causing more water damage and telling me about my options for repairs. They went out every day and made sure everything was drying and showed me the moisture meter. We decided to get the repairs done with them, this made the whole process so easy and the turn around was fast. They worked with the insurance adjuster on the repairs needed and made sure we where happy with the end results, walking the repaired area, with me, a few days later. read more

I made several referrals to friends before PacWest even completed the restoration to our kitchen because they were so awesome. Sadly, our kitchen sprung a leak in the wall and filled up with water over night before we were even aware! We immediately contacted Beaverton Plumbing (who is also incredible) and they quickly arrived to shut off our water since we had a faulty emergency shut off valve. Our homeowners insurance suggested another restoration company to evaluate the damage, but I quickly got online to check reviews and I'm so happy I contacted PacWest to help us out. Dave was my first point of contact and he was a delight talk to. He was professional, funny, and responded quickly to our problem. We had crews out within an hour to assess the damage and got fans going right away. Brad greeted us kindly, told us everything we needed to know, and the BEST part was he worked with our insurance company directly. Thanks Brad for working out the nitty gritty details with our insurance company!! We couldn't have asked for a better crew and company to help us restore our kitchen. I cannot speak highly enough about Dave and PacWest Restoration! This is hands down the best contractor I have ever worked with. I worked with PacWest on behalf of my mother. She had terrible luck when she discovered a significant roof leak just before she was about to go in for a major surgery. The leak came down from the roof, damaging the ceiling, walls, and hardwood floors. It was a mess! PacWest responded to a weekend call after we had attempted to reach several other companies (most of which did not respond until days later, despite advertising emergency/24-hour service). PacWest promptly and professionally arranged for all of the repairs, and when they were done, the house looked good as new! They also worked directly with my mom's insurance company, handling all of the negotiations and relevant communications so that she did not have to deal with that stress during her recovery. Dave was also extremely responsive to all of my communications and kept me informed throughout the process. On top of all that, Dave was very kind to my mother. He regularly asked how she was feeling and how her recovery was going. He helped arrange hotels for her when he thought the repairs would be too disruptive and overall was very considerate; always checking in to make sure it was acceptable to schedule work and doing his best to schedule work at convenient times for my mom. It's difficult enough to find a contractor that does the job right, let alone one that does a great job with excellent customer service. PacWest is a rare find and I highly recommend them! read more

I hate giving bad reviews, but here goes. We're currently in the process of moving to Oregon with an arrival date that's about two weeks out. Pac West and Dave Hins was able to give us a bid right away, bids that were roughly 50% higher than other bids that we got for a new roof with half the warranty, and bids that were less high, but still higher on painting interior and exterior than others. (I even brought him a donut during the initial estimate!) I liked Dave's initial quick response and attitude, so I thought to give them the interior paint work, even though he was priced higher, to see how he did with a smaller job before going on with him for more extensive work. He didn't even get to the test to see if they would pass. After informing him that we'd go with another vendor for the roof, Dave initially said he'd honor the interior paint quote. Immediately after, he became unresponsive. After three days of chasing him down trying to peg down a start date, he has now left us high and dry and has declined the interior paint job. All to boot, he lets me know at 5:50 in the morning. Now I need to coordinate with someone else and hope they are available in a short time frame. If you think of working with Pac West, seriously reconsider. If you don't reconsider, get bids from other vendors to see how outrageously high their prices are. And unless you go with them for an insane price, expect them to disregard whatever other work they may have bid for. Glad my instinct was correct and I won't be working with this vendor. read more

In a January 2021 wind storm, two huge trees fell onto our house, fence and front yard. PacWest was a company contracted with our homeowners insurance so, although we weren't obligated to, we decided to hire them as our contractor to rebuild the corner room of our house, roof, gutters, skylights and fence. We met with the owner, Dave, who took charge and made us feel confident that we would be in good hands. They assigned, Jake, the project manager to make sure all the pieces came together seamlessly. It was a large project so it took many months and much coordination with other contractors. In June the job was completed. Dave and Jake along with the rest of the PacWest team were absolutely great to work with! They said they had our backs and they did. The front bedroom was completely rebuilt and we have a new roof, gutters, skylights and fence. We were responsible for charges not covered by insurance which was communicated and understood prior to proceeding with each piece of the project. We would highly recommend PacWest Restoration. After a pipe began leaking late on Monday night, I called PacWest since they had good reviews and were open 24 hours. I was connected to their dispatch who sounded like the weird landlady in Kingpin. She was friendly and assured me someone would be in touch. 2 hours later no one had called. I called back and the same lady then told me they wouldn't be able to respond until the next morning? Just horrible customer service. I'm not sure what she was drinking but I hope it was worth it. Luckily their inability to simply return an emergency call led me to Advanced Plumbing and a company that actually cares about customer service. They not only immediately answered the phone, but even showed up on time. Call them instead. read more

As the president of a small HOA, I recently worked with Dave to restore and repaint the exterior of a row of townhouses. This was an ENORMOUS project lasting over a month and costing more than $30,000. From day one it was clear that Dave's biggest priority was to get the job done on budget and to our satisfaction. He was able to do just that, but what impressed me most is how much he cares about his work and helping his customers. Dave and his crew are simply wonderful to work with. He met with me on multiple occasions (for up to an hour at times) on site to discuss the project and to make sure we had all the details worked out, and I can't count the number of texts we sent back and forth to work out scheduling, paint colors, payment, and other details. He was always 100% communicative and because of his hard work, the project was also 100% on schedule. Any small problems were worked out immediately. Dave was nervous about pleasing 8 different households, plus 3 board members, but I heard NOTHING but compliments about how professional and friendly his crew was during the month they were working on our property. Our building looks brand new and everyone is so pleased with the quality of the work. I look forward to maintaining a long-term working relationship with PacWest Restoration for our future renovation and maintenance needs. read more

These guys pulled out all the old laminate flooring and carpet in my house and installed new vinyl plank. The old stuff looked pretty dated, and it turns out my little dog had been using the carpets as a toilet. It was pretty gross. The job was done on time and within the budget we discussed. The crew was really friendly, knew what they were doing, and kept us informed on progress. The old stuff came out, they took the time to treat underlying issues with the sub-floor (mold, squeaks, dog pee stains, etc.), and really paid attention to detail putting in the new floors and molding. I would definitely use Pacwest for any work that comes up in the future. read more

PacWest came out to help us get our car out of our garage after a delivery person drove their car through our garage. I'd be lying if i said everything was smooth sailing after that but the owner did contact us and made things right. We recently ran into some water damage shortly after having our kitchen remodeled whereas the refrigerator water line had leaked through our flooring. After interviewing two companies and informing them that Mike's Custom Cabinets would be doing the cabinet replacement and damage repair since they still had their drawings saved on their CAD program and had installed them just a couple weeks prior. PacWest Estimator Sarah was great for the the initial proposal. Once contract was signed and and David "Dave" the Project Manger came on board things went south. He was not wanting to work with Mike's Custom Cabinet from the start but PacWest should have declined the project from the start then but they didn't instead Dave ordered some Bruce Flooring sample from Home Depot to see they could match the existing flooring which they couldn't. Later David charged us for this saying that Home Depot would not take back returns. He then attempted to have Mike's Custom Cabinets come out to install the cabinets before a 3' x 4' section of drywall had not been replaced, textured and painted. This delay set the cabinet company back 60 days on the installation. Dave then sent his drywall crew out to make repairs within a day. They did a poor job but it worked while over spraying texture on our new Microwave oven. They attempted to wipe it off with an abrasive cloth scratching the key pad. PacWest later reimbursed us back for it. Next day Dave said he would like to break our contract which I happily agreed to. Dave/PacWest did refund us 1/3 of the down payment however I see that they charged us $1,800.00 for the minor drywall, texturing and painting work along with the $120.00 box of wood flooring. As a 40 retired Project Manager in the public sector working with many many contractors over the years, I find PacWest Project Manger dishonest and questioning the integrity of this company. At this time I would not give them a recommendation. Perhaps one day they can turn things around. If you select them well, good luck! read more

David repaired water damage that was done to our home due to the December storms. Of the three contractors who came out to give us a bid, David was the only one to climb up on the roof and identify where the problem originated, not just how to repair the resulting damage. (One guy told us that it was something he needed to replace, without even climbing on the roof.) David's crew was very tidy and friendly and they did a good job. We hired PacWest to restore out rental duplex after an attic fire which required new roof trusses, a new roof, new bathrooms, kitchens, carpeting, flooring, plumbing, and electrical, plus we purchased new appliances to install when the restoration was finished. PacWest surpassed our expectations in every way. They showed up on time, negotiated directly with our claims adjuster to maximize the quality of the rebuild, negotiated with Lowe's for a huge discount on appliances, responded to phone calls and texts in a timely manner, maintained a cheerful "get it done" attitude throughout the whole process, helped us choose the most sensible finishes, swept up the workspace at the end of every day, remembered all the items on our task list, and gave us a weekly progress report and estimated time of completion. If something when sideways due to an issue with a supplier, they jumped right on it and found a new source to avoid delays. The work was done within budget and completed on time. Our insurance agent told us we could hire whomever we wanted to do the work and we're sure glad we chose PacWest! read more

PacWest is a first-rate company!  I woke up the day after Memorial Day to find my condo flooded from the water-line which busted from my freezers ice-maker.  I immediately jumped on Yelp to find reviews for a restoration company and landed on PacWest and I am so happy I did because they could not have made my experience any smoother.  There happened to be no front office working that day I found out due to the holiday weekend.  However, I got a call from Dave the owner personally.  He mentioned that they were short-handed and that he'd have someone out at some point in the day to assist with my water damage.  Within an hour and half, Rob showed up ready to help out.  I live on my own, so he did help me move the large items in my home away from the flooded areas then immediately started drying out my place.  Rob called me daily on his way to my home to inform me what he'd be doing.  Throughout the entire process Dave also called me to check in on me and inform me what next steps were.  I was back in my place 9 days later.  Although, the flooding was an awful experience PacWest was absolutely incredible.  I would call them again in a heartbeat to help with any job, small or large. We wanted to put a deck in the back yard. We had a budget and some rough ideas. The best part about PacWest was how they worked with us to figure out options that were within our budget. Dave was great at working with us to come up with various ideas for the deck design, giving us various options depending on how much we wanted to spend. Once we settled on a plan they were great at keeping us in the loop on the progress of the work, when they would be there, etc. We are completely happy with the final product. I can't say enough about Dave and his amazing team. We came home on a Thursday evening to find our guest bathroom toilet somehow had a leak in it that caused water damage to our bathroom, living room, parts of our dining room and down below into our garage. My husband immediately called Dave who quickly scheduled a next day appointment for his team to show up and evaluate. Unheard of! We were so grateful for their immediate attention and availability. His team arrived Friday morning and they were extremely professional, kind, knowledgeable, and hard working. This was not an easy job, as they had to rip up our damaged flooring and dry wall but they got this done and fans ready to air out our home over the weekend. The entire process of reinstalling our floors and patching our dry walls took a week, and Dave and his team made sure it was done by Christmas for us which didn't go unnoticed. I've always heard horror stories when emergency situations happen like this but it's wonderful to say our story because of this company was truly a breeze and enjoyable. They stayed in constant communication with us, Dave visited our home twice himself to make sure everything was done right and we were taken care of and they honestly re did our flooring and the transitioning from room to room better than it was before! Dave and his crew were amazing! A leaky pipe under my house caused a lot of damage, ruining the floor and subfloor in my bathroom. They came in fixed it and did a beautiful job! They always arrived on time and went straight to work. They were polite and respectful, and always cleaned the job site before they went home for the night. If I could give PacWest Restoration 10 stars I would!! It is so rare to find a team that is so easy to work with - incredible communication, professional, organized, reliable, efficient, detail-oriented, and does absolutely stunning work. You can tell that they treat your home as if it was their own... truthfully, what more could you ask for?! We had a water leak extending from our laundry room into the guest room... warping the tiles, baseboards, staining the carpet, and starting to mold... and when we noticed it, we were leaving town the next morning. Not only did they have someone come over that same day, but then reassured us that our home would be in good hands while we were gone. They kept us updated the entire time and we could enjoy our trip knowing that PacWest was taking care of our home. And the final outcome is gorgeous. It looks like absolutely nothing ever happened!! They are magicians. To top it off, Dave's honesty and trustworthiness is hard to find in this industry... he is an absolute pleasure to work with.
