Rick Arnold, and his team at Ovation Restoration, did an incredible job on our kitchen remodel. We received a total of four quotes from a variety of companies but no one listened the way Rick did. He provided a quote for us on the spot and provided numerous photos of previous work, which we really appreciated. After permits were secured, Isaiah kicked off the construction by draping everything very carefully before demo-ing the wall between our living room and kitchen as well as taking out the original 1968 cabinets. Chad, the cabinet installer, did a stellar job with all of the detail work associated with cutting the cabinets to fit and is a total perfectionist with a keen eye for all of the large and minute details, including which side the cabinet hinges should go to make unloading the dishwasher easier and ensuring the sink would be centered under the window. Every suggestion he made along the way was something we hadn't considered but worked out so well in the end. Rick was able to add on a few items we didn't consider thanks to Chad's suggestions, like painting the entire upstairs and adding additional cabinets along our dining room wall when we realized a pantry wouldn't fit where we originally wanted it. Danny was Chad's right-hand man and did a great job. Eli was a master at cutting the quartz countertops and installing them to perfection. Juan carefully installed our tile backsplash like the true artist that he is. Steve, the electrician, took out the old fluorescent 60's lights and added canned lights on the ceiling and under-cabinet lighting that's nothing short of stunning. John, the plumber, was able to connect our reverse osmosis water system to the fridge so we have filtered water for our new fridge that makes craft ice cubes (!). Robyn put the finishing touches on the paint and trim, hauled off the construction debris pile and cleaned up the rest of the construction zone. We really enjoyed interacting with all of the folks who came to work on our house when we were here, working from home, which was a plus. Remodeling using Ovation was so worth the extra time and effort everyone spent on the details. Our slate blue kitchen cabinets with dreamy floral tile and quartz countertops is an absolute pleasure to walk into every single day. I have never lived in a home with a kitchen as beautiful as the one we have now. We cannot recommend Ovation enough! read more

I hired this company to rebuild a 1500 sq ft upper deck at my house. They were supposed to start in 3 weeks but as the date was drawing near, was informed it would be another 3-4 weeks. However, Rick said he would do some other work to make up for the delay (NOT TRUE). I was told by Rick Arnold that the wood was pretreated and later found out it was not. He also informed me half way through the renovation that the large support beams would not need to be replaced which would save me money. This was actually the most difficult part of the job and should have taken thousands off the bill, however, when it was time to settle up, he said he did a few other things and down-played the cost of replacing the beams and charged me close to the original amount. I was stunned but paid him anyway as I just wanted it to end and didn't think I had any recourse. The deck survived the winter but as soon as the sun came out the deck started cracking everywhere. The railing also warped. He had told me that I would need to spray a stain on when summer started but not to do anything until then. I called and hired a painting/staining company and was informed that the wood was not treated and needed a full stain or paint to protect it (almost $3,000.) The painting company further commented on the poor quality of the construction. Ovation Restoration did not predrill any of the holes which led to cracking everywhere there was a screw. The 4x4 posts were cracked all the way through. In addition to this, the beams that Rick Arnold said didn't need to be replaced, really did. I am 53 yrs old and have never formally complained about any company in my life! I certainly would not recommend this company to anyone!!! read more

We decided to remodel our bathroom while waiting on cabinets for a kitchen remodel being done by Lowes. Rick, the owner of Ovation Restoration impressed us so much with his suggestions for our bathroom, that we decided to extend the remodel to the rest of the house at the same time. It was a bonus that he was hired in time to do the kitchen demolish and drywall repair that was needed prior to the cabinet installation. While I don't recommend anyone remodeling their whole house at once, I do recommend hiring Ovation Restoration if you let your spouse wear you down to saying yes. Rick put us at ease on our very first meeting and helped us envision the dream our home could be. Rick's crew, Chad, Tim, Isiaah, Juan and Chris were incredibly accommodating with our son who is disabled and brought positivity and skill to the job site every day. Hearing how much they thought of Rick & Jessica only reinforced our choice. I still have regrets over my stress affecting my communication at times when there were issues, but the only feedback I would give is that better communication on their part would have eliminated some of this. Regardless, their responses were always patient and kind. Contractors are trying to make a living like all of us in this economy, It would have been better for me to reach out before my concerns elevated. This remodel is now complete, and our home has the comfort and feel of being our own staycation. The ease with which they were to work with made them more like friends. Rich is a liar, he will give you a low bid just to make you sign the contract and screwed you later. i have him come to my place work on my 2 difference project, First time is alright, i would give him 4 stars service however, second time he screwed me up big time... he hired someone else do the work and dragged the project to months instead of a week He a liar After i sign contract and have him do the work, he turned around and said his measure for replacing dried rod is in inches instead of feet i ended up have to paid him more to get the job done since he knows i need to get the house done for my real estate transaction. Rich is a stolent too, Yes i still want my steel jack support that you steal from me when you replaced it in my garage. One more thing i would like to comment about Rich that He is a person with No respect he uses dirty language when my wife and kids around, insaault me that i ended up called Camas Police to report his behavor. The last thing was at the end of the project he told me he has HDAD problem, his doctor has been monitor his behavor since he backed form service. he blamed on Goverment and US marine made his HDAD worst. We hired Ovation Restoration for a bathroom restoration we planned on doing ourselves, but never had the time or skills to complete. Rick Arnold is honest and straightforward. Communication was top notch and managed expectations perfectly. Josh and Jason were presented with several inside-the wall challenges which they met as true professionals, knowledgeable about each aspect involved, tile, plumbing and electrical. They explained the issues clearly along with their game plan for getting over the hurdles, which they did exactly as planned. Also evident was a strong work ethic, showed up on time every day and busted it straight through every day till 5, and accommodated our schedules when we needed. The amount of progress these folks made each day was amazing. They also treated my home with respect, in preparation, daily cleanup and after the project was done. Rick Arnold with Ovation Restoration managed my project, with the 3-man team of Stewart & Rose doing 98% of the work. The kitchen and two bathrooms were totally remodeled, and new flooring laid in most rooms. They far surpassed my expectations. These guys are awesome! Rick communicated well and smoothed out any blips quickly and cheerfully, and I've never seen three guys work longer or harder, non-stop all day every day while still providing fabulous quality results. Josh, the owner of Stewart & Rose, is incredibly knowledgeable and versatile. Jason's attention to detail is intense, and his tile work is magic. Josh the helper is cheerfully willing to do everything asked of him. They came in under time and on budget even with five days of snow and ice. Try cutting tile with a wet saw in 13 degree weather. Rich is a liar, he gave me a lowest bid just to have me sign the contract and screwed me up big time, per contract he need to replace dried rod area of 2 by 18 , after contract is signed, and I paid him the deposit, took him awhile to get to the major part, he came to me and told me his quote is to replace the 2 INCHES BY 18 INCHES. if I want to get job done in middle of winter I have to paid extra 2 thousands dollars. His Crew member name TROY was there and witness it. Troy told me he done that a lot of time to home owner and most home owner don't wanna to deal with headache and UN finish home project plus law suit. Rich Please stop mess up and blame on your ADHD or Marine Corp that the story you told us , when you was in service and your head got screwed up! We just loved Rick and his crew. We had them totally remodel 2 bathrooms, with dry rot, that they had to gut out the floors, replace flooring, cabinets, install showers , new toilets and walls with paint etc.... All of this was done on a budget which was $5,000 cheaper than the other contractors' bids. They allotted 8 days of working on them and they did it in that exact amount of time. The guys were very respectful and just down right nice. We were totally pleased with the outcome. I have been singing praise about them to people that need stuff done. Im retired and live by myself. Sometimes finding a good contractor isnt easy . Ovation Restoration re modeled my bathroom and replaced a tub with a walk in shower . The materials they used are hifgh quality ,and look wonderful in my home . The workers were all so very nice and easy to get along with ,plus they respected my property. We hired Ovation Restoration to replace our roof and repair any dry rot. The price was within our budget, unlike the four other companies we met with. The workers were extremely professional with what we called an old-fashioned work ethic. They removed 2 layers of old roofing and repaired all of the dry rot. I hired Ovation to remodel my guest bathroom. They did a beautiful job and were finished pretty quickly. They replaced the shower, floor, and installed new countertops and cabinets in just three days. They did an excellent job of cleaning up the mess and the bathroom looks better than I had expected.
