The tech who arrived on time noted that the system was probably still under warranty (I'm a new owner of the house and it was installed by the previous owner). He encouraged me to contact the installer and they are replacing it for me under warranty. I really appreciate the honesty and customer service from Sol. Will definitely contact them for any future issues.

Painful, but they buyer wants it done before closing. Then I was told that I had to pay $250 for them to come out and locate it, even though it had already been located. This is in addition to the estimate. So they send this 20-something kid out. He spends all of 15 minutes on my property, most of which is locating the oil tank that we explicitly told him had already been decommissioned. He told me he saw no reason that the workers would have to damage my patio, which I paid $12000 to have professionally installed. Project day arrives. They send super young dudes out to my house with a digger. I doubt they were old enough to buy beer. I asked how they protect the ground from the machine. They must have misunderstood because they told me they put down plywood. Nope. They drove it through my neighbor's yard and my yard after heavy rains leaving deep tracks, then they dug a foot into my patio. When they uncovered the cesspit it was already 3/4 full. So here's me thinking surely my bill will be lower, right? There was a quote for materials and labor. Less materials were needed to fill the hole. Less labor. Nope. Bill arrives for $5100. They also say they will put down grass seed, and that never happened either. So they tore up my yard and my neighbor's yard, damaged my patio, even managed to break one of the pavers, and didn't even put grass seed down. Avoid this company. Greedy, unprofessional, sent unsupervised kids to do the work, don't do what they say they will do, and they do not care how they treat your property.

Worst of all, when I tried to get warranty work done the other company just wouldn't respond or help in any way. I finally gave up and looked at reviews of other mitigation companies in my area. I settled on Just Radon and Im so happy I did. Lawrence came out and explained all the things that were wrong with my system. The other company obviously had no idea what they were even doing. I decided to have Just Radon replace the whole thing. I was so happy with the results. The system they removed looked like a 3rd graders science project! The new system was simple, efficient and blended in with my home. Turned out my house had some construction defects that kept the new system from working at 100%. Just Radon was helpful all throughout the process of diagnosing what was going on. Just Radon helped me find the appropriate people to fix the cracks in my foundation and get the system working a peak efficiency. I really felt they stood behind the work they did and wanted to make sure my home was mitigated correctly. If you need radon work done on your home trust the experts at Just Radon. They will get the job done correctly the first time and stand behind their work if any issues arise.

Sketchy, unreliable, rude. I called numerous meth clean up companies as well as laboratories & read hundreds of articles & several dozen calls to educate myself on Meth residue to decide what test kit I would use. It was recommended I do a preliminary test first. I purchased a MethAssure Laboratory Analyzed Meth Test Kit from The Meth Lab Clean Up Company who was recommended by two different laboratories. This test is said to have no false positives. On 4/26/19 the results came back positive for all rooms with one area being over twice the allowed limits. I immediately notified my landlord. After several emails & notes on my rent payments with no response, in November I sent my rent with a letter certified; only then did I get response. The landlord came out on 10/14/19 & stated they were going to hire a company to come out to retest. This company was A Best Enviro. & they were supposed to call me to set up an appt. A Best called on 10/24/19 & was all flustered on the phone & seemed to have trouble constructing a sentence. He claimed they had scheduling issues & said they had someone in the area & wanted to come right over. I said that's a problem, I am not home & I have an appt to get to. I started to ask questions about the test kit they use & he became even more flustered after I said I was planning on having an Idaho based Lab Cleanup Company to do a third party test after they tested. He said "Joe?" & I said yes. He said he would have his scheduler call me to set up an appt time. I never received a call back from A Best Enviro. nor from my landlord & I couldn't just move, because any possible contamination on my belongings would be transferred to a new place. On 11/20/19 my landlord said their inspector & A Best would be out on 11/22/19. On 11/22/19 I went to the door & a female grabbed the screen door out of my hand & started to enter. I said "& you are?" And she rudely said "I'm with A Best Enviromental, you should have known I was coming!". I said, "but you didn't introduce yourself & I don't know who you are." (Due to homeless people in the area, who constantly come to the door asking for things, how did I know). I was talking to the rental inspector & was trying to keep an eye on this A Best employee to see how she tested for Meth residue when I noticed the test kit & I said that looks similar to the test kit I used (though her templates were slightly larger) she got snotty & quipped "I have been doing this for 20 years!" I just kept my mouth shut even tho I wanted to say a monkey could do your job; the instructions are simple, clear & precise & if you follow the instructions it is virtually impossible to do it wrong or cause cross contamination. I documented where she placed templates and she put them on obvious locations that I had been scrubbing weekly for 7 months after the MethAssure lab test results were positive; these areas were scrubbed often since I touch those areas the most. She should have been testing higher up on the wall & cupboards for a more accurate result. And who comes unprepared without a step stool & uses your toilet as a step ladder; it took me 4 days to force the toilet lid back on. She placed a template on the fan cover that I clean every week due to toilet paper dust build up that clogs the air flow. That cover is going to have a lower concentration of residue than up the wall due to the fact it was scrubbed with bleach almost every week for over 13 years. And what business would only tests one side of a duplex when the reason I initially tested for Meth residue was due to the horrific smell like rotting dead fish mixed with burning rubber/trash, that was emitting from the garage of the other half of the duplex & the common wall is our bedroom, bathroom, kitchen area? Meth residue seeps through cracks/crevices in walls, ventilation such as fans in bath & kitchen, common attic space. I turned my attention back to the rental inspector after trying to take images of where she had placed the templates because that is not where three other meth cleanup companies told me to place templates. After all was said & done they both left; i went into the bathroom to get ready to go check on an elderly family member & noticed my watch was gone! Kitchen: red scissors gone. I know it was not the inspector, because we were next to each other the entire time & A Best Enviro. was the only one to go into any room by herself. It can not be replaced for it was given to me by my deceased Mother. I intend to contact The Meth Lab Cleanup Company in Idaho who does Meth residue testing as well as Meth clean up all over the US, since two labs stated they were the best & you get what your pay for. I will follow up later on how professional this other company performs.

I was put in touch with Alex, who explained everything I could expect start to finish including best-case through worst case scenarios. He was very thorough and didn't sugar-coat the possible expenses. With my eyes wide open I greenlit the work and never regretted it. As it turned out, contamination was detected but not so bad that the tank and soil had to be removed. It took a total of four or five visits of two people each (except the last visit which required but one person to fill the tank in with an inert material and cover it with dirt.) Hard to see the area was ever disturbed. It's important to note that everyone that came out was professional, got right to work, stayed working, and gave me no sense of attitude. I regret not capturing their names as they were all great. Of equal importance is that Alex was also professional, knowledgeable, friendly, attentive and kept me in the loop step by step. Literally. That said, there were no deficits throughout from service to execution and I can HIGHLY recommend Soil Solutions for this type of work. Based on my experience, you just can't go wrong.

I don't know who recommended Alpha, but I sure wish that they hadn't. The installer came out, saying there was only one place the system could go, which was outside a bedroom. He installed without hooking up the electrical, which has said he wasn't qualified to do. That meant that we had to engage an electrician, the charge falling to us, something that the sales offer didn't cover, an unexpected extra expense. When the system was switched on, the noise was excessive. Not just noise, but the vibration in the house. It was kind of like trying to sleep in the same room with a really bad 1970s refrigerator about to die. The only person from Alpha who came back to check on the system was the radon level test person, who said that he knew nothing about dealing with noise issue. I spoke with Arial on the phone, whose only response was: the fan is the quietest in the industry and, the system was installed in the only place possible on the house. When I expressed my dissatisfaction, he said he would look into it and call back. He never did. Doing my own online exploration, I found that possibilities include a defective fan motor, changing where the system was strapped to the house, adding padding between the strapping and the house, and/or adding sound dampening inside the system. None of these options were even suggested by Alpha. Service after the sale from Alpha was abysmal. I feel like they took the money and ran.
