My husband and I went to the weekly open mic night and decided to have dinner while there. The history of the place is great and worth taking a few minutes to read in the menu. You're welcome to roam around the downstairs and upstairs where there is seating also. The menu is really varied and offers something for everyone. Since there are German roots connected to history, a lot of German cuisine is available like various spaetzel sand schnitzels. They also make their beer and their sodas in house. The cream soda is delicious and has great vanilla flavor. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. It's a little pricey but worth the try!

I always enjoy the Harmony Inn, especially on warm Sundays for live music on their patio 4-7pm. The outdoor bar & patio is fun & dog friendly. There are so many great bands that play there. I wish that they would invest in some kind of small awning or roof for the musicians in the summertime. It gets SO hot for them in the sun. In the winter or inclement weather bands play inside the bar area, which is quite small & the bar gets packed. They have a huge amount of craft beers on tap. The menu has lots of choices. I opt for potato pancakes when possible, and their German food selection, such as spaetzle or schnitzel are good as well. As are their burgers. The building is super cool & quite historic (and haunted). And the town of Harmony quaint & historic as well.

For my friends birthday we wanted to go somewhere new but wanted a steak. We heard good things about this place and wanted to check it out. There is so much history here at the Harmony Inn and you can feel it when you walk through the doors. Its an old house that was converted into a restaurant. It has a nice patio for the summer and a nice size bar inside. Not too many tables though. I ordered a steak with mashed potatoes and asparagus. The potatoes and the asparagus were spot on. Honestly couldn't tell you which one I loved more. The Steak didn't have too much flavor but it was still really good. Then for dessert we got a Gluten Free Chocolate cake piece to share. That was super rich and tasty. My friends got the wings and they said they were delicious and then he got a Chocolate cake as well. The service was pretty good and the waitstaff was very friendly. I'll definitely be back to try some other things too!

Very interesting, old building. The restaurant inside and outdoor patio area were nicer than expected and food was very cozy and delicious.

Good food and great beer in a great old bar. So many great beers on tap like my favorite- a barleywine called The Embalmer. String and great tasting. They have many beers from their duster brewery North Country Brewing Company in Slippery Rock. The food is as good as the beer. I had the black bear burger and it was cooked perfectly to order. Friendly servers with good knowledge and a nice looking bar and rooms. Worth a visit.

This place will always be a favorite of mine - I got engaged here! There is a wonderful historic atmosphere here, and the house's history is a must-read. Whether you're in the dining area both upstairs or downstairs, the bar, or on the patio, there just isn't a bad seat in the house! I've always had a kind and attentive waiter or waitress, but service is always slow. But I never mind spending time here! I've had burgers, spätzle, schnitzel, and tonight I had a Reuben. I've never had a bad meal here! My Reuben was fantastic. Great corned beef, nice acidic kraut, and crunchy rye make for a delectable meal! The big pretzel is the perfect app to share, and the mustard it comes with has a great pop of horseradish. North Country Brewing is on tap, and I love a pumpkin beer in the fall time. Another great experience tonight! If you've never been, check this place out!

Returned to the scene one week later ... complete 180* ... the service was night and day better than a week ago. We sat inside this time, and Nick seated us, took our orders, brought our food, refilled our drinks, and brought the checks immediately when asked. He was very affable, fast, efficient and really made a difference. I had the Bacon and Brussels Spätzle and it was quite good, and my cousin had the Hot Chicken Sandwich, which he enjoyed. The only bad thing was that the WiFi didn't work, and Nick actually warned us when I asked for the password, that it was known to be problematic. This visit gets 4.5 stars, and gets a "Cheers," but one week ago it was a "Jeers." Cheers!

Incredible restaurant hidden in the local historic neighborhood! A converted hotel great for any season with indoor seating, a full bar, and beautiful outdoor patio. We arrived around 5:00pm on the weekend in order to grab a table on the patio, where they allow dogs, so we were excited. The wide array menu consists of German style food, as well as American favorites. I ordered the Nashville Hoy Chicken Sandwich and it was probably the best I've ever had! The buttermilk-marinated fried chicken was incredibly crispy with a tender and juicy inside. The sauce stole the show though with a sweet, yet spicy flavor that burst with different seasonings and didn't overwhelm with heat. Even the pickles and kaiser roll were delicious despite being plain. American cheese and a light amount of mayo topped the sandwich to add even more taste and keep the sandwich light and not dry. On the side they give a nice helping of crispy seasoned fries so the meal is very filling. Absolutely delicious and I am craving more already! The drink menu has over 50 options, so there's something for everyone's preferences and trying something new. I got the Strawberry and Cream Sour, very smooth and flavorful, perfect for the summer weather. They even offer a dog menu of safe options to treat your pet. Great experience all around and I highly recommend visiting!

We loved our recent dining experience at the Harmony Inn. We both had different variations of the schnitzels and wow, were they delicious! My husband had to step a bit outside of his comfort zone, (he's not much of an adventurer when it comes to new food) but he was also a fan! The kiddos shared an order of chicken tenders and fries and the chicken was also made to perfection. We were initially hoping to sit outside on their beautiful patio, but a crazy thunderstorm prevented it. Inside was super cozy tho and otherwise we may not have ventured inside the Inn. We felt the prices were a bit on the higher end for some things, however 9/10 stars from us!

Very casual and friendly atmosphere. Full bar with full service food and seating in old house rooms. Food was fantastic and freshly made. Authentic German recipes were legit.

Went here for a bonding event with co-workers and I must say I will definitely be returning on my own. This was a cute, unique spot to enjoy food, drinks, and live entertainment if you are there on the right night. We had amazing service as our servers had good positive energy and attended to our needs as a larger group. I had the cheesesteak which had beer cheese in it and it was really good. For appetizers we had pretzels (which are a must have as it was a perfect texture and the sauces were good), flatbread (also really good), and fried pickles (I don't eat pickles but my colleagues liked it). I will be returning and I recommend it for folks who are looking for something new.

This time we visited this place and we had the best experience ever. We sat outside. Great ambiance and amazing weather. The service was so timely and friendly. Thank you Kaitlyn. We ordered a variety of beers and ciders, pretzels, Drunk fish, crab cake, and Strudel for dessert. All were tasty. Except for the crab cake that had too much pepper added to it. Overall, we really enjoyed our visit and will visit this place again and again. A suggestion for the manager: why don't you fill the little fountain you have in the yard? It would add to your the charm of your place significantly.

    Outside, parking lot.

I was visiting one the weekend and my friends brought me to Harmony Inn. What a beautiful and awesome building! Even more cool that it was built so long ago. While the service was slightly slow for 6 patrons, the food and ambiance kept me into it. I'd love to have a local joint like this! I had the Bleu & Black burger, my friend got the hot chicken. All great food.

We started with a couple of beers and worked our way through the bread basket while trying to decipher the menu and restrain ourselves from ordering one of everything. The basket came with assorted rolls, sweet cabbage, applesauce, and butter, basically enough to make us temporarily forget we still had entrées coming. I ordered the Kase Spätzle: spätzle noodles tossed in a creamy blend of chicken broth and melted Gouda cheese. It was supposed to come topped with buttered breadcrumbs, which sadly never made it to the party. Would they have elevated the dish? Maybe. Did I still scrape the plate like I hadn't eaten in days? Absolutely. It was basically German mac and cheese giving me a warm hug. I swapped the house salad for braised red cabbage, because balance. Hubby went with the Sauerbraten, beef marinated in a century-old family recipe from southern Germany and served with potato pancakes, because if you're going German, you commit. Nothing about the plate screamed "fine dining," but everything tasted hearty, comforting, and made with care. Was it fancy? No. Did we leave happy, full, and slightly considering lederhosen? Yes. Great night all around.

Mom and Dad's with early elementary age kids, young couples, 3 generations out for a family dinner, a dad and his teenage son and us. But the best part was the service. For apps we tried the langos ($10) and potato pancake ($12.95). You really can't go wrong with fried dishes here... each dish was so crispy with the toasty aroma that deep fried foods have. Even though they were topped with only 1 ring of red onion, it was the perfect amount to add a zesty kick without overpowering the dish. We got the chicken paprikas ($16.95), stewed beef ($18.95), and puszta steak ($18.95) for entrees. This is when I realized that our dishes were super similar. The chicken paprikas and stewed beef had a similar texture and flavor profile, and were both served with dumplings. The puszta steak was covered with the potato pancake and fried, so it had a very similar vibe to the apps we had earlier. No complaints about the dishes, though-- I'd recommend the chicken paprikas or stewed beef if you enjoy tomatoey, bell pepper-forward flavors. The dumplings were tender and absorbed a lot of the stewy sauce. If you enjoy fried foods, or want to try the potato pancake and an entree but are limited on stomach space/budget, the puszta steak is a perfect choice that will give the same crispy vibe as the potato pancake with an added protein bonus.

Now the food: I tried the goulash, Lagos, chicken soup, chicken paprikas, and a cherry strudel. Most of the food was excellent. Both the soups were outstanding. Well seasoned. The chicken soup was filled with interesting noodles and was very warm, and the goulash had tender meat and flavorful broth. The langos was pretty interesting and well made too, but not my favorite. It's a street food, like a fried bread with some toppings like sour cream and cheese. It tasted a little bland and a tad oily, but the sour cream was a nice addition. The main course, the chicken paprikas, was also quite good. The chicken was pretty tender, I believe a mix of dark and white meat. The sauce is quite nice, and again the sour cream works really well here. The noodles are also very well made, very authentic. Finally, for dessert, I had the cherry strudel. I absolutely loved it, so much so that I almost forgot to take a picture (ate immediately)! Filled to the brim with cherries, soup, sweet, and perfect. Good size and fair price. Highly recommend.

Now, stop imagining, because Krakus Polish Deli & Market in Boardman, Ohio, is that magical land, and it is the holy grail of pierogies, kielbasa, and all things Polish food-related. If you haven't been yet, your taste buds are straight-up missing out. First of all, let's talk pierogies, these little pockets of heaven are to die for. Like, not even exaggerating. I tried the classic cheese and potato ones, and I'm pretty sure I saw a light flash before my eyes. Jesus, Mary, and Joseph, these pierogies are so good they should be illegal. But wait--there's more! They do weekly pierogi specials, and trust me, each week is a new flavor adventure you won't want to miss. The cabbage roll; Heavenly. The sausages... Let me tell you, if there's a better kielbasa on the planet, I don't know it. The market is like a treasure chest of authentic Polish foods, we're talking everything my Polish grandfather used to keep stashed around the house, like sauerkraut pickle jars (which I'm 100% sure he got directly from the motherland), obscure teas, crunchy wafers, and probably some mysterious cured meats you didn't even know you needed in your life. And then there's the prices. I don't know how they're doing it, but you could feed an entire village of hungry Babcias (grandmas) on a budget here. Incredible value, folks. But--here's the catch--the hours are... um, "quirky." Like, if you're planning to roll up for a late-night pierogi binge, you might want to double-check their hours because they close early.
