We had known the place existed because we had friends who played volleyball there (they have a sand volleyball court next to the restaurant), but had never had the occasion to stop by. This place does not pretend to be anything else besides what it is - an unpretentious, locally-owned/locally-serving bar/restaurant where you know exactly what you'll get. I loved the old signage on the walls and the overall vibe. It's just a straight-up local comfort joint. Food was not anything to write home about but it also was exactly what I was looking for, if that makes sense; filling, short-order breakfast fare.
