Chicken, Shiitake, Wood Ear

Literally a HIDDEN gem. I don't even remember how I first heard about Yee Mama but I missed the first few weekends I tried to order. I follow along on Instagram and there's a link where you pre-order on a Sunday and pick up is between a set time at Findlay Kitchen on Wednesdays. These babies sell out in a few hours so you better jump on the opportunity to order while you're can! Like.... set an alarm. Noon on Sundays. Be ready, you won't regret it. These wonton/dumpling things (not 100% sure if the terminology matters, lmk)... anyways... I ordered three different kinds because they come frozen and you can keep them frozen until you're ready to cook them. I obviously couldn't wait so I cooked half right away and I was absolutely NOT disappointed. I'm always impressed when something so small and light can have such a full flavor and they were very easy to cook. Though some are "saved" in my freezer, I'm telling you they will not last long. My favorite was a tie between the Chicken, Shiitake, Wood Ear Wonton and the Shrimp and Pork Wonton. Knowing me - I can't finish a review without mentioning the sauce. Surprisingly I didn't need to order extra but I probably will next time just because it's so good. My favorite was the Scallion Soy. Set your alarms y'all. Sunday.

GoT to finally try Yee Mama. These wontons are amazing. Have to order on Sunday and curbside pickup on Wednesday. Wontons are frozen and come with your pick of sauce and garnishes. Recommend the cilantro and scallions. We got the spicy chili the sweet scallion soy and the garlic soy and used some of each with the garnishes. I had the shrimp and pork and we also got chicken and sweet basil. They were both amazing! Tender, moist (I dislike using that word haha) , and so tasty! Great flavors and loved the added heat with the spicy chili. Sometime sides are nemeses but there was definitely enough for a meal. So delicious and easy. Just pop in boiling water for about 8 minutes, drain, add sauces, garnish and enjoy. Will definitely be back for more.

WOW!! I picked this order up less than 2hrs ago and I couldn't contain my love so I had to write a review. Yee Mama is a HIDDEN GEM - umami level sauce, delicate flavorful wonton wrap and amazing pork and shiitake mushroom filling. If you need 1 hit of asian food in Cincinnati - this is where you need to go!! Go Yee Mama go!!

His food truck serves up fresh baked, made to order pretzels. Each comes with a hilarious name which pokes fun at religion. There are six pretzels to choose from: - The Pope: Parmesan cheese - The Morning Monk: cinnamon sugar - The Sister of Mercy: hot sauce and Parmesan - The Sister of No Mercy: fire sauce and Parmesan - The Friar: salted - The Abbott: unsalted All the pretzels cost $3.00 each, 2 for $5.00 or 3 for $7.00. You can also get a side of cheese dipping sauce for $1.50. But wait... it gets better! Vinnie's serves up fresh squeezed, carnival-style lemonade. Yes, with the lemon juicer and gigantic plastic cups. These cost $3.00 each. Now I can get lemonade during any season of the year... and a pretzel! I was craving something traditional, so I went with the Abbott with a side of cheese. It was delicious, warm, and just the right texture. The cheese sauce was an enormous cup; enough for three pretzels. I'll definitely be tracking down this pretzel truck again. I hear it hides out at 5th and Race Street from 11:00am-3:00pm during the week.

So, I pigged out and had two of the Sister of No Mercy (glazed with hot sauce and then drowned in Parmesan cheese), good lord it was so good. Prices are on a sliding scale: $3 ea - 2 for $5 - 3 for $7. Nice deal! I will certainly return to try out their other pretzel varieties.
