I will never go to this store again. I bought what said contractor grade trash bags for my construction business. They were extremely low quality. We used two of them and they ripped out the bottom not even half full of lightweight debris. I figured since it was a brand exclusively carried by Harbor freight they would have no problem returning them for me once I explained. Unfortunately I was way wrong. The cashier and the manager both said without a receipt they would not even give me a store credit. I brought back both boxes with only two bags missing and pointed to where they stock them on the shelf. The manager even said, "I know they are ours but I cannot do anything without a receipt." Horrible product and customer service. I will never set foot back in that store and I would not recommend that you do either. read more

Don't waste your time and money on this company or this store! Employees have such a bad attitude! Came here to return a gift and was told I couldn't return it even with store credit! This is my second bad experience with them! read more

Harbor Freight is one of those cult stores that is trying to be mainstream. They are expanding quickly and because of this cannot keep up with demand. A few suggestions, do away with the coupons and just price everything 7 percent lower. Provide workshops on your pre tent sales ala home depot for home owners so that your new customers get trained in tools thus building a knowledgeable customer. Also bite the bullet and over staff on busy days so that your current growth period is not the basis of your demise. Murrieta store is the best laid out that i've been to. . customer service is like all Harbor freight NON EXISTENT. My suggestion just ask other gear head people that don t work for the company they could give you good advice on what works and what doesn't. If you want craftsman quality tools at ridiculously low prices Harbor freight is the place for you. Been shopping Harbor freight for 20 plus years and I hate the expansion because now they only sell their brand stuff no longer do they cell IR, or Dewalt ect. used to be best price any where. also the expansion created the super busy no customer service environment. Growth is good for some bad for others. Its kind of the ROSS Dress for Less of Tools but you can always find inventory there. Murrieta store is a better store than other HF. read more

The "Supervisor" Claudia was clearly annoyed with her job. She told me she can't sell me a pallet jack. They not only have the display model which I offered to buy at full price but they have them in the back too. I wouldn't care but it was obvious she was playing a game, not professional at all. read more

Very upset with the fact that I bought a generator that says it can handle 4000 watts but when I put 1700 Watts it flips the amp breaker. When I when I try to return it they wanted to charge me $58 for restocking fee on an item that doesn't do what it says it can do read more

Thought these reviews might have been over sensitive people, but NOOOOOO. Just WOW. Cant remember the last time I experienced such rude cashiers. Refuse to take cash, Really? CASH? saw both cashiers treat several customers terribly. I Really like the store, good prices, fair products, but will not be returning. This store needs new management and a fresh start on ALL of its employees. Get rid of all of these rotten apples Harbor freight or this location will close eventually. Word gets around in this area and people check Yelp ;) read more

We went in to buy a cherry picker, and some general tools. When we got to the register, they informed us that they were not accepting cash. And that they no longer had any of the cherry pickers that we wanted in stock, and are not allowed to sell the floor model, even at full price. The cashier was rude and the reason they couldn't accept cash? The back safe was locked. Now, I'm not sure how that works, but I'm pretty sure the registers still work. Irritating and they were rude. read more

I find other poor reviews here funny. Harbor freight has crazy cheap tools. Don't come here if you want superior tools with the highest longevity. They've got a lot of great tools here that are hard to find elsewhere. read more

Pros: Cheap 1) Hand tools are fairly cheap, like sockets Cons: Cheaply made 1) Hand tools like vise grips don't hold their springiness and are useless. 2) Air pressure stuff like air gauges for tires, etc., will often be so cheap as to not last one use. 3) Power tool tips, such as screwdriver blades, will shatter on first use. 4) Lines. Instead of a single line that goes to the next available register you must choose a single register to queue behind. With everybody returning their broken products it is hard to tell how many minutes each customer will take. Most people seem to realize this and want a single line but the manager lady constantly gets in fights with the customers forcing them to risk waiting for 5 to 15 minutes. It's probably better to totally avoid harbor freight. Use Hanks Hardware in Temecula instead. read more

Store is very clean, organized, and stocked! I was glad when they opened so close to home, very cheap in prize for most tools even tho some don't last as long it's still a good value. The only reason not 5 stars is the service, most of my visits you deal with employees that look pissed off and are short and snippy with customers read more

Great place for lower end tools. They have a strict return policy so save your reciept or your screwed.

Sarah, thank you for your persistence in contacting the manager and for keeping a smile while doing it. To Claudia, manager, thank you for taking care of military families and for understanding the randomness of military life! read more

Very helpful staff and great prices. The cashier gave me a coupon too. No long lines, and plenty of people to answer questions and help.

Man this place is a joke came back today and the cashier walked away from her line no one knew why someone from my line asked if she was coming back and why she just tje and was told by our cashier she just went to the restroom. I have seen this twice in two days management really needs to deal with this the only interaction with employees and 9 times out of 10 its horabul read more

So far we have shopped here a several times and each time the cashiers have been rude, short and distracted talking among themselves. Today the guy ahead of me spent a lot of money, the cashier told him how much, he held the money out towards her while she chatted with the male cashier next to her apparently about a fellow employee on the floor. When it was my turn I asked if they had anymore labor day flyers, to this she shook her head no. There was no thank you or anything. read more

This is the top Harbor Freight store of the chain. It is very large, well stocked, logically organized and has excellent lighting. The staff is very friendly and eager to help. They have great everyday deals and superb coupon sales. If you have not visited this store it is worth the trip. I used to drive to Hemet or Riverside. Thank you and keep up the great work. read more

Just like any Harbor Freight this place is great if you need some cheap tools or supplies! Staff is friendly and will help you if you need help. Plenty of parking away from major shopping center. read more

Good selection off tools but don't plan on them lasting very long lol but you can't beat the price that's for sure

Harbor Freight is one my favorite places to go for great deals on tools along coupon freebies. The store is always well stocked and the cashiers are friendly. Usually when the there are long lines they go by real slowly is the only problem. Today they took care of us quicker than usual for long lines which was a definite improvement. They are also advertising there tent sale which is later this month which I like to attend for even greater deals. I make sure to drop in weekly to see the great deals. Along with the freebie coupons they always have 20% off coupons that come in the mail. Well worth checking it out! read more

Waited for someone to help me but no one was on the floor. A long line at both cashiers. Found two men in an office at the front of the store drinking coffee. I asked them if anyone was working the floor and neither answered the question. The guy at the desk stared at me and asked "what do you want?" I asked if I could buy the garage stool display. He said we don't sell our displays. That's it. No further assistance ...he never moved. The other man got up and followed me over to the display. I told him there were no boxes stocked on the floor with that particular stool. I told him I wanted the $24.99 price. He said he would get the form for the AIC club price of $24.99. After several minutes he brought me the form and while I filled it out he went to go find a boxed stool. Twenty minutes later he brought the stool and I waited in line to be rung up . The cashier stated the stool was 24.99 and the 1 yr membership was $29.99. Really??? I said I don't come in here often so just charge me the $32.99 price. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE AND LACK OF COMMUNICATION with this store . I will never return read more

1st and last time i will go to the murrieta location. Cashier was friendly, but my coupon for 20% would not work and they could not show me on the coupon why they would not let me use it .Their supervisor jessica came out and told me it was a newer product and i quote " yea well i am not going to take it' and then walked away. She could not care less. She had the look of an underpaid employee on her last leg on the job. Tried to talk to the manager but was told he was not there. Never been treated like that at Home Depot or Lowes. What a jerk. read more

Absolutely disgusted... I went to EXCHANGE a tool box I bought a few days before that I never used. If I can recall Emma or whoever the short Spanish lady working at the first register was rude and said that I couldn't exchange without a receipt showing I actually bought. By the way I am black. So I had to search for my receipt and found it. She then had to make extra sure I really bought it then she tells me to get what I wanted to exchange it for. A white guy walks into the door who is also exchanging his items. She did not even look at his receipt and told him to go ahead and get what he needed. What was the difference between what me and the white guy had to do. Oh yea the color of our skin that's right. Don't expect to get another dime from me ever. read more

Been shopping at Harbor freight for years. Was excited to finally get a store in Murrieta. I received excellent service at the register from Angela. I shop here a lot since they opened, The other weekend I was buying a few items waited in line for a while finally another checker opened up, called me over and she answered the phone before she said anything to me,then got on her walk-e-talk-e for a few minutes, then back on the phone. She scanned one item, then back to the phone then back to the walk-e talk-e, scanned another item, then next item did not have a tag on it, so as she was back on the phone she looked at me and jiggled the item and held it up but didn't say anything!! back to the phone she went, scanned the last item. Then she held the item back up and told me there is no tag on this.........I said ok........then as she was back on the phone said " you need to get me a tag to scan" WOW pretty sure you can either call someone on that phone your on too much or on that walk-e talk-e your on also. So I pissed of-lly went and looked for the item to get the tag, and none of the items on the hook had tags!!! so I brought the paper one on the end of the hook to her to scan. she rudely grabbed it and scanned it. After she told me my total, I told her I have a coupon got a big sigh for that, Then just cuz I asked about my free item for the coupon, she said yeah you will have to go get that it's over there somewhere. Too say the least I left there very pissed off. read more

"hey cashier/customer service there's a reason why i'm the one who is returning your product" do not ask me again to call someone to returned his purchased. how difficult to returned the product if been purchased it on the same store and that's their brand. some other store they just give you a store credit if you don't have a receipt. no question asked. totally wasted my time!!!!!!!! read more
