Nina was extremely knowledgeable, approachable, and took the time to walk me through different paint options and solutions that would work best for my project. What really stood out was her willingness to explain the differences between products and help me think through the best approach rather than just selling me a can of paint. That level of service makes a big difference when you're trying to get a project done right. Excellent customer service all around. Timely paint mixed and prep. Good color matching. Paint goes on very well. Bought four different paints to paint interior and exterior walls and trim that needed touch up or complete repainting. I really hate writing bad reviews. I was so excited when they opened a Dunn Edwards store here, and when our HOA switched to them for approved paint schemes. But, there's a reason people have complained about the customer service here. We dealt with the front desk clerk who was mentioned in other reviews. UGH! Went in here at the direction of our HOA office with my husband and a friend to choose exterior paint colors. Was first ignored, and then treated with what felt like outright disdain. Was told "people who come in here from HOAs already know the colors they want," (how?!?!?), and that they didn't have any schematics on hand. I was instructed to "Google it and find it online, and look at the colors on your phone." As we scrambled to try to gather paint samples from colors displayed on our phone screens, and shelves that were missing many of the colors we needed, an employee came up and told us we needed to hurry because they were closing at 5:00PM. We were shuffled out at 5:02PM, without most of the accent colors we needed. We were on a deadline, because in order to get our house painted this month, we needed to submit our colors today. This doesn't seem like the appropriate way to treat homeowners who are going to spend a lot of money on paint. read more

I'm updating this review. They had an older gentleman that worked here and was always horrible to work with. The paint is so good here that I've been back several times and looks to be that he either quit or was let go. I must say it is such a nicer experience overall. This store shows such miscommunication, the first time I called in to place an order ahead was 12:40 to make sure when I got there I would only need to pay. Upon arrival they tell me there was no such, I call again to make sure I did not make any mistakes. Turns out Justin did not place my order through. So at 1:07 I am placed on a 20 MIN HOLD WHICH RESULTS IN YET AGAIN NO ORDER BEING PLACED. I go to counter again and am asked to wait again another 20 MIN. I frequent this business a few times a week in my line of work. Most of the employees are relatively knowledgeable. Some of the employees are friendly. If you have a choice on who helps you, go see Keioe, although she is new, she is eager to learn and will get you the right answers. Ethan is also always very pleasant and helpful. These guys! What can I say. We recently bought a house in Murrieta and we're having trouble finding the correct paint to touch up some spots that needed it. The old owner gave us the color code and said it was from Home Depot. Home Depot got it wrong twice. I finally went to Dunn Edwards and gave them the color code. They provided the paint and it was still off. I went back and the assistant manager was like, don't worry...we'll get this color right. The last time, him and his other guy nailed it. Went in for a quartz size paint can from sun edwards. The clerk at the desk was no help, he said "no" when I asked for a refill & then I had to ask why not & just very short with his answers. I finally asked what where my options and he said he would check to see if he had a gallon sized can. I didn't need a gallon just a quart. Ended up going to Home Depot and they had it ready within 15 minutes ! read more

We were burned out looking elsewhere for a color we liked, we ended up going to Dunn Edwards and found one, so we bought a quart to test, we painted 3 cabinet doors with 2 coats and 2 cabinets and still had half a quart left. The paint seemed to go further and had great coverage. We ended up getting a gallon and the color matched perfectly. They were really helpful helping us select the correct paint for the job and we were in and out with everything we needed. read more

Have bought a lot of paint from them for our ranch fencing, but was disappointed they wouldn't allow me to order paint by phone and pay via credit card so my husband could grab it for me. Kasie helped us pick colors for our office and absolutely nailed it! Even the property manager came by and said how much better it looked and that she loved it. We then returned to have Kasie help us pick exterior colors for our home and she did it again! She is by far the best person we've worked with in this and that says a lot since I'm incredibly picky and find it tough to make decisions on colors. She listened to what we don't want and to what we want and like. She's fantastic to work with, and we highly recommend her to anyone who needs as much guidance as we do! 4 stars to the great blonde lady that sits at her desk by the window and helps with paint schemes. 2 stars for the rest of the bitter employees. The men that work there seem so sick of their job and customers they treat you like they wish you'd never come back. Always dull, sarcastic, unfriendly, condescending attitude. I picked up a fairy large order for our company so there was approx 10-12 items including paint, plastic, tape etc. after I paid the man proceeded to roll the paint out of the store from behind the cashier desk and I double checked that he had gotten the plastic and tape to which he says in the most duh you idiot voice. Yeah with a F off look on his face. I said I just wanted to be sure as it's a far drive and I didn't see him grab it. We get to the truck and sure enough there's no items. I ask again, did you get the plastic and tape to which he then replies in an o crap attitude No I didn't. Totally unnecessary and unprofessional attitude. Another experience: I bought 6-7 five gallon buckets of paint for another job we were doing. I saw they had a yellow paint they were offering a free sample of, I asked for the free sample of paint and I believe his name was John, looks at me for a few seconds before responding and has the nerve to say, "are you really going to use this or do you just want it because it's free." Either way, what does it matter to you? Does every free sample you give away get removed from your paycheck? Just give the customer the sample the store is offering and keep your questions and condescending opinion to your self. We are contractors, we have different clients all the time. We remodel hospitals and doctor offices. They tend to like cheery colors such as yellows and purples for the children's areas. So you asking like I had no use for it was very rude. Bottom line, the paint is good quality but the customer service is garbage. read more

Reasonably priced for our condo unit. The quality of the work was excellent. The workers were professional and kind. They had three units to do at the same time (mine and 2 joining units) and it only took 7 days. Will recommend this company to anyone who needs exterior paint work! read more

Product is good however the staff has an attitude and talks to you like you're an idiot. Wouldn't return to this location just because of that. I would go to a different location for their paint. I want to say a huge thank you to our local Dunn-Edwards for your help today! I heard you were holding N-95 masks for medical professionals and I was so happy to purchase 2 boxes today. Our dental office is seeing emergencies only and these hard to find masks are vital to protect both patient and clinician. While we are rescheduling routine appointments, seeing true dental emergency patients helps keep them out of the ER, bogging down our hospital system and exposing our patients to unnecessary exposure. Absolutely the worst customer service of my life. And less you are a paint expert don't come here becauseThe staff you're sure won't explain anything and it seems to be a bother to them when you ask any questions. for some reason you're not allowed to order anything over the phone nor online. when you call the store they won't provide you any pricing. But tell you that it will take only five minutes to mix it up. Upon my arrival 30 minutes after an hour wait. Lowes has much better pricing and better customer service so much so that I went straight to Lowes and had everything written up saving almost $127. Done with Dunn. These people are paint people but can't seem to get it right. First time was right and we named it. Second time when we go to get more we tell them the name and give them the can. They randomly pick some other one that was close to our name. Then we bring the can with the formula and they make the wrong one. 3 times we have trimmed with the wrong paint and had to go back. Mind blowing how lame it is. The only thing I can say is that they were always nice and always replaced the wrong ones but for heavens sake get it right people. I'm actually surprised to see some of the comments below because today was my first time ever going into this store. My painter asked me to get the color sample I wanted for my walls from there since he only uses there SpartaZero line. I was greeted when I walked in and was asked if I needed help or had any questions right away . They were not only attentive to my needs but the needs of every customer that was in there. I asked for advise on paint sprayers and painting my own kitchen cabinets and they provided me with all the info I needed and didn't try selling me anything I didn't need! As a matter of fact they even told me their sprayers would be an over expense I didn't need since it would only be a one time use. They walked out all my paint and placed it in my car as they did for the other customers as well. They asked what projects I had going on in my house and as I went on to tell them they were even helpful enough to recommend local contractors for things I needed help with in my home. I have worked in customer service all my life and today I can honestly say this location and staff was on point with their customer care. All to often people are so quick to put negativity on comments but never positive ones which is why I took the time to post this! Poor customer service. I bought two 5 gallon buckets of the same color paint and kindly asked for a discount reward of any kind. The cashier Joshua blatantly disregarded my request. He didn't even give me any kind of response or reason. This place most definitely gave me the "wow" factor treatment!! The staff is pretty amazing. I came in as a younger female looking for paint colors in the "gray" family. Initially the manager seemed a bit snooty, however the gentleman who actually helped me pick my paint was amazing.... We went through the entire process and I picked a great color!
