Then when my order arrives to their store (if I'm paying for shipping it would be nice to have it shipped to my house), I only know it's in because I am emailing/calling for updates. Have gotten zero communication from the sales person. Save yourself a headache and go somewhere else. I don't mind paying a bit more if their customer service was excellent, but it's awful.

I have shopped there for 12 years, perhaps 2-300$ a year. I brought in a blank key I had purchased many years ago and asked them to make a copy of my house key. They told me I had to buy a new blank or they couldn't do it. People shop at places like Jabos to get the service you can't get at the box stores. The young man couldn't figure out how to operate the machine and wouldn't admit it. Then he got a lady who gave me the "you have to buy from us" routine. Neither were friendly. Then the manager finally came and gave me the same routine. Finally I asked him if he was going to be able to help me. I asked the question in a way that got to the point and made him decide. He stammered around and never did answer. At that point I did say "shit" to which he got immensely offended and started pointing his finger at me. "The new machine won't let us". Surely there is an override and in the rare event that there isn't, I hope the owner takes note. Needless to say, but I won't be returning to the local small business because of two things. Poor attitude and poor service. As the manager of a small store, you have to make big decisions. they made me feel as though I was at one of the big box stores. The sad thing is that I shop there because I had come to enjoy and expect the service, in a world that service is hard to find. Before you judge me, let me ask you. If it was your store which decision would you make. Make a key or 4-5$?

One where you can actually ask for advice on a project you are working on and deepen your perspective on the project. THAT is Ace Westlake. I came here today and really enjoyed my visit and discussing my project with them. They really did add the perspective I reference and that has me taking a step back before moving forward, just to make sure the direction I move is the way I want to go! While there for my project I noticed some "Managers Special'" shelves and yes, I bought a few things I probably don't even need, because the price was so good!

Super friendly employees at the front door greet you and they helped me by looking up this item and they directed to isle 13 where they have all the adhesives. You might be thinking why shoe glue, if you have expensive shoes you take them to be repaired depending upon the damage. In my case the rubber sole was coming off so this glue cost me $7 to fix them so went the cheap route. Winner! They were getting ready to put Christmas items out so some shelves were empty. They have lots of great Halloween decorations out so shop Ace Hardware to get your BOO on.

When in the gardening section the gentleman there was giving great advice, but mentioned he wished that someone else was there. He stepped away to call the person whose day off it was, who agreed with his advice, and then came back and followed up with us to ensure that we were doing the best thing for our new landscaping. You'll often find beautiful plants that just need a little TLC, and you can leave with a basket full of great bargains for a fraction of the original price. The ladies working there were absolutely outstanding--friendly, welcoming, and genuinely eager to help. Elaine was a star. I was left standing and waiting for a manager approval while the only manager available, Barbara, was assisting another customer and simply stated, "It's going to be awhile." What is especially frustrating is that the manager approval for my return would have taken less than a minute. Why couldn't Barbara step away for 30 seconds to approve the return and then continue helping the other customer? Instead, customers are left standing around waiting for what should be a routine transaction. It's hard to understand why a large Lowe's location in one of the biggest metroplexes in the country would have only one manager available to handle customer issues and approvals. The employees on the floor shouldn't have to apologize for staffing decisions beyond their control, and customers shouldn't be stuck waiting indefinitely for routine transactions. Lowe's needs to do a better job scheduling adequate management coverage. Been waiting for 20 minutes and counting.... That's not something every store bothers with. They have some of the friendliest cashiers I've run into, and just as important, no pushy salespeople. Nobody follows you down the aisle. If you need help you can find it, and if you don't, you're left alone to shop. I've bought a few appliances here, and I even signed up for one of their home visits to have my AC checked. That was a pleasant experience too, which isn't something I say often about anyone coming to my house to look at equipment. I also like the 5% discount when you use the Lowe's card.
