I have been to other places and they are never consistent with how they do my nails. I went back to Happy Nails in Ludlow because this is the only place that I get what I want. My manicurist is Arita, and she's the only one I'll have do my manicure, she's very good and I always come out very happy with the job she does on my nails. Happy Nails is a very professional place to go for manicures and pedicures. I just don't like it when Arita takes a vacation to go to her home country, but she, like everybody else, needs a vacation at least once a year. I'm very happy with her work. read more

After 5 years of having the same nail tech I had to find a new place upon moving to the western MA area. I am so happy to know that this salon worked out on the first try. I feel like it's always nerve racking trying out a new place - never know what you're going to get. I got a full dip set with an extension as well as their callous pedicure. Andy did my nails and wow - Thoroughly impressed. His technique was different from what I've experienced and I was nervous at first but trust the process! My nail shape is perfect. He really took his time and listened. My one critique would be that my nails could have been cleaned up a bit more due to the staining of the color I chose but after a few hand washes it'll disappear. Not a big deal. Paul did my pedicure and he was very sweet and accommodating. My toes look great and my feet feel very smooth. I appreciate them giving me the full experience though I was the last customer in the salon. I will definitely be making this my home salon and look forward to coming back. I finally found a nail salon that is great! They take appointments and have a huge selection of nail polish, gel & dip and a variety of services. My regular place couldn't fit me in, even though I've been a customer for years and I needed a Pedi and dip mani. After reading the reviews, I called, got an appointment for today and hoped for the best. Paul did a wonderful job with my Pedi in just the right amount of time. I don't know the name of the woman who did my dip manicure but she was excellent in her attention to detail. I can't wait to go back! read more

I got my manicure and pedicure done in the evening. I called before I got there to see if there was an opening and they got me in. The road construction made it difficult coming in the parking lot; however, once you enter the parking lot there's no problems with ample parking. This place is a hidden gem!!! I wish I discovered this place earlier. The place is clean (very contemporary decor) and feng shui. The staff was hospitable and professional! I didn't wait at all in the waiting area. They gave me a shoulder massage during my manicure. It was so relaxing. You get a choice of lavender or mint aromatherapy in your pedicure tub for free. It wasn't expensive and affordable. I went to Happy Nails to get my nails done for my wedding and my nails came out awful. I got them done the day before my wedding. I got a gel manicure and the technician put on the thickest coat my nails look like bubbles and she butchered my cuticles and they were bleeding. Now I'm off to go on my honeymoon 4 days later with no time to get them fixed and my nails and cuticles look completely disgusting. read more

I've visited the area a lot recently from Philadelphia and always seem to coordinate the trips with when i need my nails done. This place is phenomenal! They are clean, friendly and most of all efficient and do great work. I always get a gel mani and regular pedi. I love that scented lotion is included in the regular pedi. Wasn't a fan of this place after getting my gel manicure last week. My nails most def need to be done again a week after coz this gel looks horrible now. The guy doing my nails didnt shape my nails at all, he just trimmed and carried on. Also They most definitely should ask before touching someone. I found it strange that i wasnt asked if i wanted a shoulder rub, instead someone just creeped up from behind and began massaging on me. The whole thing was just off. As far as cost including tip it ended up costing me $15 more than my regular place. Not worth it al all for me. They are very polite though at the front desk. read more

Noah is an experienced technician, the way he paints shows learned skill, and you can't go wrong with any technicians here either - all are great! I'm not personally a fan of gel nails, so I prefer polish. I know this chips faster; however, my first manicure was for a dress try-on and vacation; it lasted no-lie 2.5 weeks before it began to chip. I don't usually leave reviews, but what compels me to was my most recent visit to get my nails done for my engagement photos. I had butchered my thumb near my nail two days before the appointment by accident. Noah was careful but sure to fully clean up the deep hang nail I'd created. I started to get light-headed when I saw my own blood, but Noah was quick to get me through it. And his efforts ensured quick healing. I went to another salon and got a full set of gel nails, they were horrible, I wish I took a before picture but I was so embarrassed about how bad they looked. I called today and was able to get an appointment to get them fixed that night. It was the owner that did my nails, I wish I had gotten his name. He was meticulous about every detail! Spent a ton of time on my nails and all I can say is...I'm obsessed!! I will now be a customer for life!! I can't say enough good things about how absolutely perfect my nails are! I've been here twice and I've never had less than a five star experience!! The manicures are 15$ for regular polish, which is a little more expensive than usual, but definitely worth it. I suggest reading this in its entirety but; TLDR: Pros: Dips lasts forever, will fix if you have an issue with dip within 10 days. Cons: expensive, up sell you, not following COVID guidelines, careless mistakes My customer history: I have been a regular to this salon for years. A few years back I had a wonderful nail tech who did the best gel nails with great care and detail. She took her time but I also was not there for hours on end. I believe the owner were her parents. One day I called and she was no longer working there and since they have gone down hill. Services: Prices: I would usually get a pedicure with either a dip or gel manicure. This salon has always been more expensive than others, but I justified it by the fact you get a massage when nails are being done or drying. With dip manicure, regular pedicure and a tip I pay $90 - 100 per visit which seems a bit outrageous IMHO. - As a new customer I was startled because they never asked, and began to massage me. Although, more recently they have been asking. BUT... I found they are asking because they now change for the 30 sec - 2 min shoulder massage which discovered when I received my final price. - If your dip comes off within 10 days you can come in and they will fix it for free which I appreciate. My more recent experiences: - Every time I have gotten dip they have rushed my nails, even if they are not busy or near closing time. I have never left without my nail beds being cut and bleeding by the dremel. This makes it extremely painful and my nail beds look worse then when I initially arrived. - The last time I got dip and a pedicure I became extremely frustrated after being at the salon for just over 4 hours. - The nail tech took 1.5 hours to take off my dip before realizing she was using alcohol rather than acetone. Between customers she would come by, check them, quickly dremel and file more (cutting my nail beds), an applied more alcohol (ouch!). - My next complaint is that she was going between three without sanitizing between. We are in a pandemic!!! - During the time I was receiving my manicure they tried to up sell me on a membership three times. I continued to decline. - I was then told to wait to get my pedicure because the salon was packed and didn't seem to be following COVID guidelines. I wish I walked out then. - When finally receiving my pedicure they tried up selling me again because "If you become a member for $5, this $80 pedicure is only $60!" I was so annoyed by being asked I took the bait. A quick google search and the pedicure kit they were using I found on amazon for $10. So 4.5 hours later, close exposure to others during a pandemic, bleeding cuticles, $120 total, and a membership I didn't want I could finally go home. One of my dipped nails came off in three days. I returned and they fixed it. My dip lasted about 4 weeks, which is great. I eventually soaked them off myself, are giving my nails a break, and will not be returning. read more

Always an excellent experience. All the tech have an attention to detail that I have never had anywhere else. Because of this, don't expect to get in and out quick. That is what makes Happy Nails the best salon around. Word has definitely gotten out so I recommend an appointment otherwise if you try to walk in, you may be disappointed.
