Please do not come here based off previous reviews! I have been getting my nails done for 5 years now, done every month during that time. I went in for a full set of acrylics in white, oval shape. What I was left with was globs of sloppy, unclean, uneven, lumpy white dip nails that look like 40 dollar first time nail tech quality along with necessary comments about my hands. I paid 70 dollars including tip. If you see the pictures you can see how much of a scam that was. Read on for further details.
I walked in on Saturday Jan.6th around 3 pm with a friend. I saw a sign that said "walk ins welcomed". As I entered, a woman called out asking what I would like done and I told her (as previously mentioned). She asked if I had a picture and I simply stated "no, just basic white short and square". I then asked for pricing as I was on a certain budget. 55 is where any of the sets start. I asked for acrylics and she stated that "they do not do acrylics here". I said that is fine I will do gel and look at what dip would look like as I had only gotten dip once before and needed to refresh my memory. She said that the tech is on his way. My friend and I proceeded to wait 20 minutes for the tech to arrive.
During this time the woman with whim I first spoke with started to prep my nails. It had been a while since I last did my nails, and she decided to point this out by stating "You have a lot of dead cuticle" which is fine because I did, but when I replied " yes it has been a while" trying to have friendly rapport, she stated that "she could tell" with a certain tone that was far from friendly. Then the nail tech for me arrives. He asked again what I would like and starts the process. I change my decision to dip and oval instead of gel and square. He says he can do acrylics if I like but it would still be 55 for any. Knowing that dip and gel are healthier options for my nail and confused as to why acrylic service was being offered now rather than before-- I stuck with dip and oval in shape.
He and the woman chatted away, really not stopping to focus on their clients. The tech shapes my nails fine, then dips into the white powder 5 to 6 times. They are HUGE and very unnatural looking. However, I know he can buff them down-- which he does but not nearly enough. He throws on the top coat and asks if I like them. I tell him they are big and lumpy. He tells me to wash my hands and leave.
I am not the person to confront anyone in the service industry, however these nails were so bad that I had to make sure no one else gets scammed out of almost 100 dollars as I did. I am going to return tomorrow to see if they will fix them as no cost-- will keep updated. Thank you read more
