I've always loved Happy Lemon in LA, and even though Tucson has plenty of Ding Tea locations, I still prefer making the 20-minute drive here. After seeing happy lemon in passing so many times, I'm glad I finally got the chance to stop in! It's a great tea shop/cafe with a good variety of drinks, yummy bubble waffles, and a fun space. Staff were friendly and service was quick. I liked the decor and looooved the mascot! Each table had board games, which I think is a nice touch and makes it a good hang out spot. There was a good variety of drinks; I didn't try a salted cheese drink this time around but I am super curious about them. The mango lemon slushy was delicious and the bubble waffle was good! I loved the taro puff cream dipping sauce for the waffle, I could probably eat it as it by the spoonful. So.. I didn't actually get anything with lemon in it but I did leave a happy customer with my bubble tea! The menu offers a wide variety of drinks and they also offer bubble waffles, some of my favorite desserts. I also liked how the menu tells you which items are fan favorites and which ones do not have caffeine. I got the mango Yakult smoothie with lychee jello and a strawberry shortcake smoothie with lychee jelly. Both were at 25% sweetness. There's a screen above the counter where drinks are handed off that shows your order and the time it is taking to make it. Mine were done in around 2-3 minutes, pretty speedy! Both drinks were really good and just the right amount of sweetness. I enjoyed the lychee jello as an alternative to the jellies if I want something different. While the drinks were a little on the pricey side they were a very large size so I felt I got my money's worth. The interior is cute and there's a fair amount of seating for those than want to dine in. I'll be back next time I want bubble tea in Tucson! read more
