I saw a Greek omelette on the menu and had never had one, so that decision made itself. My fiancée went with the pancake tacos, which neither of us had ever seen anywhere before. My omelette came out and it was eggcellent. The real star was the tzatziki, which was one of the best I've had anywhere, not just at breakfast. My one honest gripe is the home fries showed up cold. But I dumped some of that tzatziki on them and suddenly the temperature stopped being a problem. Then there's the pancake tacos. Absolutely to die for. Picture a fancy McGriddle with a lot more going on and a lot more food. My fiancée is normally very generous about sharing, and this time I got exactly one bite before she made it clear that's all I'm getting. Jealous of her order for the second time this weekend. The waitress who started our order then walked out to the parking lot without saying a word. We were ignored after that until another server came by to refill drinks and then disappeared to the other side of the restaurant. We just wanted the check so we could leave. I finally had to get up and stand at the front. One guy walked right past me, ignored me, then came back a couple minutes later and sent me to a register. The guy at the register sent me back to the first guy. They then had a disagreement right in front of me. Eventually the waitress who had taken over our table came over with a handheld machine so I could tap to pay and get out. Never again.

Rather than showing empathy, she came across as argumentative whenever we had questions or concerns. Her facial expressions and body language made it clear that she was annoyed every time we asked for anything. No customer should feel unwelcome or like they're bothering their server for making reasonable requests. We understand that restaurants can be busy and short-staffed, but that's never an excuse for poor customer service. We hope management addresses this, because the service we received completely overshadowed what should have been an enjoyable dining experience.

My friend and I recently moved to town and were in search of a place for a fast dinner. This establishment definitely lives up to its reputation for quick service. With our limited knowledge of the menu, we decided to inquire about the most popular items, and we ended up getting the orange chicken, lo mein, and braised beef stew. To our delight, the food arrived quick, and we finish our dinner quite quickly. It's not that we were in a rush, but the meal was satisfying that we couldn't help but devour it. The only saving grace was that the broth was not laden with MSG, which would have been expected to substitute for a well simmered broth. My advice is to stick with the Chinese American classics like lo mein, beef and broccoli, general Tao's chicken, etc since they execute them well and give two scoops of rice with a lunch special proving $7.95. I think they keep their costs down since it is curbside pickup without delivery or dine in, a consequence post-pandemic which they never decided to reverse. An excellent option if you want solid Chinese -American fare at below market price in the style of a drug deal pickup.

The restaurant added an additional $3.34 charge to my order, bringing my total to $23.36. For that price, I expected a noticeably larger portion of chicken. What I received looked much closer to a standard entrée than a double-meat order. I've attached photos so people can judge for themselves. At over $23 for a single takeout entrée, customers are naturally going to compare you to other restaurants in the area. That's where this order fell short for me. Places like Table 9, Hibachi Quickway, Umi Japanese Cuisine., and Panda Express offer portions that feel much more in line with what you're paying for. When you're charging higher prices, customers expect either increased portions, premium quality, or both. At China Wok, the portion sizes simply don't justify the price point. My family and extended family of 15 people ate at this restaurant this weekend. Ordered food and the bill was paid. Then the issue of contention happened. Learning from my mother who paid the bill that she questioned the "15% additional service charge for parties of 6 or more" and told this was NOT the same as a tip and that a tip was still expected. I went to the server who closed out the bill and the server confirmed that what was explained to my mother was the position of the restaurant that this automatic service charge for parties of 6 or more was not the same as an automatic gratuity and that a tip still expected. The server said this was per the owner of the restaurant and when asked responded that this policy had been implemented in about the past 6 months. We respect hard work in the food service industry and have never tipped less than 15% to 25% and though this experience meant my family will never be coming back we also didn't want this experience to be the first where a restaurant--even one with shady business practices--felt we did. If you are a group of 6 or more and are considering this restaurant consider this review a warning that this is what you will experience. Watch your bill carefully and see if you have a similar experience because if your experience is the same as ours what you experienced was at a minimum discrimination against larger groups and at worst theft (should your food cost 15% more just because you're in a larger group?) if you're also told the service charge is not the same as a tip/gratuity. Write about your experience. I hope to see other reviews in the future that will either confirm or disprove our 1-star experience. How did the food taste? I've already forgotten. This restaurant has lost our future business though. On a different note we were here for a birthday celebration and afterwards had the best three-generations bowling experience to date!
