Instead of apologizing or offering a solution, Teka responded, "We only have two chefs working, and if you want them remade, it will take a long time." Rather than showing empathy, she came across as argumentative whenever we had questions or concerns. Her facial expressions and body language made it clear that she was annoyed every time we asked for anything. No customer should feel unwelcome or like they're bothering their server for making reasonable requests. We understand that restaurants can be busy and short-staffed, but that's never an excuse for poor customer service. We hope management addresses this, because the service we received completely overshadowed what should have been an enjoyable dining experience.

I work at this Panera Bread and I would like to address a few of the issues pointed out on this site by these "customers". There are a lot of items available on the menu, so to hold it against an employee for not knowing a potential allergen concern is uncalled for, we have an ingredient/allergen check list binder for that exact purpose. There are not many human beings who are capable of memorizing every single possible allergen threat, so if you like not breaking out in hives because your are unsure about something, please allow us to research it for you without feeling like you are judging our intelligence. You may also access allergy information online, to save yourself valuable time. This next one is really important, please, please consider that we hire new people, every mistake that is made by a "bad employee" is an experience that they will in turn learn from. For instance, we offer a "Bagel Pack", "Bakers Dozen", "Half Dozen", and "One and a Half dozen". They are all different, the description is under the name and communication goes a long way, if you tell us you want a "Bakers dozen", then you are going to receive only 13 bagels with zero tubs of cream cheese. If you would like two 8 oz. cream cheeses then you should request the "Bagel Pack" and so forth, it is all plainly displayed above the bagels, I can not express enough how important communication is during the order if you want to leave in a timely manor. If you just state that you would like 18 bagels to a possibly new associate and proceed to list the ones you want, then there is a good chance that the computer will automatically charge you for one "Bakers Dozen" and one "Half Dozen", so to ensure that you receive exactly what you want, please use the proper product name when ordering, for instance, request "One and a half dozen bagels" And if the price does not seem correct to you during check out, you are allowed to politely inquire as to which button they hit and if they seem confused you can kindly inform them that there is a button on the top of the screen that will properly charge you for you particular order chances are they may be new if they look confused. This too applies to new employees learning how to prepare your food on the line (kitchen). They are 100% going to mess up at least half of the orders they make their first day, they will gradually mess up less and less orders and you will begin to dislike them a little less. Mastering something takes practice and busy people seem to forget that everyone is human. Sometimes Panera will run out of product, I understand that you not getting your baguette with your soup can be difficult to process, but sometimes we just run out of bread 30 minutes before closing... Honestly we only try to make enough bread so that we do run out by closing, if we are left with 60 baguettes by the end of the night then we have just wasted product and money. Everything must be donated or thrown away at the end of the night. All the food is freshly prepared at "Panera headquarters", it is then sent to us where we further prepare it if need be and send it on its way to your little belly. Yeah the mac n cheese comes out of a bag fully cooked, but would you prefer it come out of a box and then have us add powdered cheese to it? No, the answer is no you would not, so we don't, it is all real cheese, we use antibiotic free meats, and everything is about as healthy as you can get it, unless of course you were to go to the farmers market and cook home made meals every nigh, we are the next best thing. If you look around and can spot employees eating the food then that is a good sign, it means the food is good enough for them to eat and they know where it comes from, even if that means it was shipped to us... how else does any other business receive their food? good rule of thumb. Final thing, those dastardly fruit flys! Yes they are super annoying but I can almost guarantee that they are more than likely not going to kill you, all they are doing is flying around trying to be your friend. Just kidding they probably are trying to kill you. I once witnessed a man make my co worker cry because he was yelling at her about the flys, you can imagine that I wanted to cause him great bodily harm, being the professional that I am, I refrained. Long story short, we can not do anything about it, they come in with the customers when the doors open. Don't be rude about issues that are out of our hands, if it bothers you to the point where you need to yell at someone then you should just go home and cook yourself some food and never come back. I can honestly say that this Panera is a fairly decent place to eat, you will never get food poisoning and you will never get a pube in you sandwich, no matter how terrible you treat us. Just be kind and understanding, that can turn the worst situation around. read more

I still have no refund but can show the evidence that the order was placed and is in my history of orders on the app. Not sure if they just see who has giftcard money and order food with it to receive more money or what the issue is here, but nothing has been done to resolve the issue.
