This is one of the best restaurants I've been to! The food is always fresh, flavorful, and made with care. What really makes this place special is the owner they are incredibly kind, welcoming, and genuinely care about their customers. Every visit feels comfortable and appreciated. If you want delicious food paired with amazing hospitality, this restaurant is definitely the place to go! read more

Decided to give this place a try for dinner so we ordered the shrimp lol mein, egg rolls, and triple delight to go. The hubby didn't like the triple delight, said it was too gooey and slimy. The egg rolls were alright, typical cabbage stuffing. The shrimp lo mein was alright. read more

Love this local spot! Great food. Their crispy beef is delicious and the customer service is consistently good.

We ordered Chinese for the first time in a very long time. We ordered General Taos chicken, hunan chicken, pork lo mein, spring rolls and dumplings. The only thing that was edible was the General Taos chicken. Everything else went in the trash. The lo mein, for some reason, tasted very fishy. The woot lo mein we've ever had. This place has gone downhill. I do not recommend! read more

I ordered carry out. The gentleman behind the counter was very nice and brought my food to my car. I will say the General Tso chicken tastes like it was fried in a pan with seafood. It actually tastes more like seafood than it does chicken! Fried rice is basic. Not bad but not the best! read more

Mandarin Court - General Tso, fried rice, egg rolls! - Sushi Bars Near Me - Dumfries, Virginia

I want to love my local Chinese restaurant, but Mandarin Court is making it hard. Once again, I tricked myself into thinking this time would be different. I ordered $80 worth of food tonight and for the price I expected 4 star tastes. Instead, the steak on a stick was raw, the egg rolls tasted like mushed cabbage, and the meat dishes were rubbery. The carrots were the only ingredient that tasted fresh. I'll order microwaveable Chinese before I try this place again. read more

Excellent food and very reasonable prices. Service is great also. This is a family owned business that I have been to many times read more

Service is the best. Al they always have my order right. Doesn't take long when I order carry out. The staff is great. Food is great and the manager is great. What more can you ask? A great family owns this and runs this place. Everyone. Support this place? I love their sweet and sour shrimp. Underrated! read more

First time there, I food was cooked really fast, taste was ok, I won't be returning for several reasons, taste, amount, quality!!! My son had to spit out the shrimp (he loves shrimp) he said it was too fishy. All four of us had diarrhea last night and early this morning. I called after I found out that all of us had a problem, unfortunately the restaurant just closed for the night. read more

Not your average Chinese food. Been ordering here for years and don't plan to stop. Service is great! I have received complimentary drinks and apps on a few occasions! read more

The gluten free general tso earned all 5 stars!!! I have ordered it more than enough times and it hits the mark every time! To my surprise I was offered a free gluten free noodles with veggies and it was the equivalent to lo mein but with rice noodles. It was so good, now I order it every time! read more

This place is great! It's a classic Asian restaurant that brings hospitality and quality forward. They specialize in both Japanese and Chinese food. So full of flavor, you can eat delicate sushi or some of the hearty fried Chinese favorites! They deliver, and much faster than some of the other options. I have never had an issue with delivery here. But I have had issues with some of the other local Chinese deliveries. The restaurant is also nice if you'd like to dine in, service is friendly and it's clean! fun to watch them make the sushi in front of you! read more

This is the BEST local Chinese food in the area. I have Celiac Disease so it is incredibly difficult for me to find places near by that offer Gluten Free options. This place goes above and beyond every time. As someone with celiac, cross contamination can make me severely sick and I haven't had to ever worry about this place getting it right. They are extremely detailed and attentive and the service is out of this world. They are so kind, polite, and extremely generous. We love this place so much and the people who work there. I'm not sure if they do this on purpose but every soy sauce packet we receive in our order has a little panda doing a different activity on each one, we never receive any duplicates. It's the cutest & funniest part we look forward to every-time we place an order. Inside the restaurant, it's very clean and inviting. Lots of seating arrangements. Eventually, we would like to come in and eat here but with it being so cold outside, we love just having the ability to place an online order from home and have it delivered. They seriously are the very best! read more

Best Asian food in Dumfries! Service is stellar and the staff is really nice! Every dish is great.

Great food at very reasonable prices. You won't beat their prices on sushi. The quality and rates of the food was great.

The only reason I am giving 2 stars is because of the kindness and professionalism of the older gentleman that works here, and the food is pretty good. Now the lady that works there is rude and not customer friendly. Actually she should be fired! Also the menu prices have not been updated in months, be careful what you order if on a budget! read more

Stopped in with my two young boys at about 4:30pm. We were the only ones there. It took 35 mins to get seaweed salad and fried rice with chicken and veggies. The sushi I ordered took 40 mins, mostly bc the manager, who started making it early, took a phone call and walked around for 15 mins leaving my unfinished rolls behind the counter. He eventually got around to finishing it and bringing it out. We ate. The food wasn't bad. When the waitress came over to ask if we needed anything else, I very calmly and politely voiced my displeasure about how long it took. She asked I wanted to speak to the manager and I said yes the manager came out the one who was making my sushi and I again politely and Conway voiced my displeasure. After about my second sentence, he flipped out saying "no pay" "finish" "go" - I could not believe his behavior. I asked if I could finish what I had to say and he kept saying "no pay" "finish" "go" as he frantically walked his way back into the kitchen. So we didn't pay. We finished. And we left. I tipped the waitress bc it wasn't her fault. I will never go back. You shouldn't either. Stay away from this place. read more

It really deserves a 3.5but I could not figure out how to make a half star. The restaurant was not very full, so we got right in to a booth. Immediately we were asked for our drink order and handed a menue. I was following the advice of a yelpie and his recommendations were pretty good. I ordered sushi and hubby ordered Chinese food. Both were pretty good and I think they do better Chinese than sushi. The Chinese rice was plentiful and enough for 2, the egg drop soup was very good (acording to my hubby) as well. I got the sushi roles and they were good but I think not as fresh as I would like. I also thought the ginger was old and I asked for ponsu sauce and got something other than ponsu. What is the final verdict, I'll go back for Chinese but not for sushi. read more

Food is okay but service is awful. Tried to enjoy the food and ambiance but just couldn't. Felt judged and not welcomed

Great service and food is always good! It gets busy but worth the wait. I've been going there for years.

The food is delicious and the portions are generous but beware of foreign objects in the food. This is the second time I have encountered a foreign object in my delivery order. The first time I had ordered the Mongolian beef and bit into something that felt like a bone which broke my tooth. The restaurant manager was kind enough to give me $100 toward my $1000 dental bill. This time I ordered the lo mein which is my favorite. I had ordered it several times before with no issues until today. Eating the last serving from my leftovers I found a metal coil that probably came from a brush with metal bristles that is used to clean grills. read more

Mandarin Court used to be my favorite local Chinese spot several years ago. I've since moved away and returned to the area and it's gone completely downhill since then. I ordered food for myself and my 2 year old daughter this evening and found some sort of flexible metal or aluminum object in our Lo Mein. Absolutely unacceptable, won't be ever coming back here again. read more

That's it!! We're done with this place! Highly disappointed once again. We used to come to this place many, many times but the quality and flavor has speedily plummeted. Thought we'd give this place one last shot, I ordered PuPu Platter (pick up) and not one, but all items in the platter are burnt to crisp! I'm sure the cook knew he burnt all of it, why would he even consider serving it??!! That alone seems not giving a F__k to the customer. read more

Food is good! Not greasy and staff is always very polite. The sushi rolls are pretty good.

If I could give a half a star rating I would. I have had bad food from this restaurant before but decided to give it another try. I ordered Shrimp with Cashew and it was not good. The shrimp were small and some of them didn't smell fresh. I also ordered Szechuan String Beans. I couldn't eat it. They had no flavor and the string beans were tough. Both dishes were thrown away. I will not purchase any food from this restaurant again. read more

The first time I went to this restaurant with a friend the food was good, the second time I took my family to dine in and the food was ok, and this time that we carried out some General Tso Chicken is terrible. I don't understand how the food didn't feel fresh even though we ordered it 10 minutes before we picked it up. Brócoli was old/over-coked and the Chicken didn't feel crispy. I am not coming back for more. read more

Fast, friendly, and delicious! I am always very hesitant when choosing a Chinese or Japanese restaurant, especially when my kids are involved. That's the reason why I bumped these guys up from 4 stars to 5. While my wife and I were trying to decipher what our kids would probably eat, the waiter stepped in with a winner. The food came out promptly and all of it at the same time. I sampled a little of everyone's meal, so I can speak with true credentials that "all" the food is delicious. Side note, the lady next to us ordered a literal boat-o-sushi that looked phenomenal...very unique. All said and done, my family and I left stuffed and all for less than $30! I will be going back, absolutely! read more

I decided late to order takeout from Mandarin Court (my go to for Chinese food since moving to The area almost 2 years ago). I placed my order at 6:52pm throughly the BeyondMenu app. (Paid and TIPPED!) At 8:02pm, I decided to call and find out WTH was up with my order. The person that answered (mgr?) the phone stated that they had been busy but the driver was on the way! I noted that in my mental Rolodex but was still excited about my shrimp and broccoli! 2 mins later he called me back and said that the driver said he delivered to my address already. I told him no one has rang my Ring doorbell or dropped off any food. He said hold on.... He then called the driver on speaker phone where the driver said that I was a LIAR!!! He said that he gave the food to a "man" and that I was lying! The Mgr said that he was going to get to the bottom of this. I confirmed that no was was delivered or placed on my front porch (which would've been another issue). THE DRIVER THEN CALLS ME DIRECTLY AND ASKS WHY IM LYING.! (OMG!!! Seriously?! Never in my life have I had a delivery man say I was lying about receiving a food order! I should have recorded my stomach growling!!) The Mgr called while I was dealing with the driver and said that I know that you won't order from us again (Ya think?!????!!!) but I can't give you a refund because you ordered online. We haven't been paid. Grrrrr! So, I'm out the money and the food?! The Mgr made no attempt to try and satisfy Me (the customer). At that point, I just wanted my money back! I wouldn't eat any food delivered by someone who says I'm a liar! FINAL THOUGHT... let's say the food was delivered to the wrong address. Instead of the recipient stating that it was the wrong house, they accepted the food?! Who DOES THAT?! Definitely NOT neighborly.... Highly disappointed and hungry. A shame because I really enjoyed their food. read more

Food is coming fast when you call them to pick up or even when you just placed your order in the restaurant. I only order few different items here but I will go to this place anytime I need something quick. However, I'm not sure if that they're still using MSG which I'm not a big fan of. Place is nice & clean. The toilet??? Wow, surprisingly!! It's clean too, I really need to give credit for that and the owner seems nice. I'm glad that we have local Chinese Food That are not "average" ;) xie xie! read more

The place is clean and its mandarin chinese food not cantonese. (diffrence being spicy/sweet) the general tso is the perfect mix between sweet and spicy. They give you a big portion for a decent price. They are also open late and deliver. I recomend this place for all the local chinese food because the others around it dont compare. They also always throw in extra rice or eggrolls on deliveries over 20.00! (sushi was ok) After i ate i needed to add more to this review. The display of the food was pretty and decorative. The meal ended with a complimentary "shot glass" ice cream with a fortune cookie. No flaws here! 5 stars! read more

DO NOT EAT HERE! My son and I ordered PLAIN LO MEIN and shrimp fried rice that has given us terrible food poisoning! I called someone explained the food is cooked to order that doesn't matter! My 5 year old can keep anything down and you don't want to know what coming out of me! This place is disgusting I'm completely angry and am no longer staying silent! So many good things about this place that I found on yelp right next to where my family lives in Dumphries. to start we were greeted almost immediately and shuffle to our seats the place seems almost empty which for me was great because I don't like a lot of people in a small restaurant I ordered the sushi from the sushi bar and it was made perfectly a California roll and the volcano roll. I also tried the GYOZa and it was delicious!! My uncle and my cousin had the Rice and their rice was cooked perfectly it was the best looking Chinese fried rice that I have seen since I left Atlanta Georgia almost 2 years ago. Our service was really great our server was very helpful in explaining the way things work she stopped my uncle from ordering what looked like a sushi boat well enough to feed three people or more so I was happy she did that she was also very helpful with bringing plates and getting served very quickly read more

Been ordering here for years for delivery but with 95 at a crawl and a HORRIBLE experience at Red Robin hubby surprised me with a stop here. Food was outstanding! This is my favorite Chinese restaurant in the area and my go-to sushi place as well. Their lunch menu is pretty good and inexpensive (lunch ends at 3) and their dinner menu is good too which you can pick the sizes for. Their large for the dinner menu is huge!
