My family and I have eaten here a few times and the customer service has drastically declined. The food is ok, the decor of the restaurant is nice, but the customer service is subpar at best. Recently, I placed an order online for the beef ramen via DoorDash and when I arrived, to my shock, the person working the register did not want to give me my food, the reason being because I paid through DoorDash and not directly with Fo Bistro. After some back and forth, it came to light that the same dish I paid $24.43 via DoorDash, costs $18.95 in store. When I asked about the difference in price, Ashley and Danny, Fo Bistro's employees, blamed the price difference on fees from DoorDash. For clarification, I called DoorDash and was told no such fees exist and the businesses set the prices and not DoorDash. This entire time, they've been overcharging on DoorDash and not being open about charging customers an additional amount to pay through DoorDash. I've been coming here since they first moved to the area and it has consistently been quality and professional, every visit. This is the place to go for a nice celebratory meal. If you're a foodie on an average night or if you got a promotion, closed a sale on a house, family visiting, graduation, holidays, birthdays, anniversaries, romantic dates, friends catching up, etc. this place is perfect and will make your night a lovely evening whether you have a reason to be there or if you're just there because the food is incredible. It has a relaxing and classy atmosphere that's clear as soon as you walk in. The vibe is elegant but not intimidating. You're fine to dress up or dress casual without concern. The food is delicious and uses quality ingredients. With sashimi and nigiri you can tell what quality the restaurant upholds when choosing ingredients and it is good here. The dishes I order always come out with beautiful plating. I'd say they have a high "instagrammable" score in my book. If sushi isn't your thing they have plenty of agreeable options for people with a limited flavour palate. My family has always loved sushi since I was a baby, but my brother in law mostly eats eggs or generally "plain" foods. He can still feel like he has options when coming here. I have eaten cheap food elsewhere with the idea that I would spend less only to realize I could've gotten Fo Bistro for the same price. Like, Mexican food is not inherently more affordable than Japanese food even if the specific restaurant seems like it should be. Additionally, those other small businesses with the cheap-food restaurants in the area that overcharge don't even view their customers as people. Other small businesses in the area make a little money then lose their humanity and have only disdain for others. Whereas here, you definitely feel welcomed. I have never had a negative experience at Fo Bistro. (Remember: I've been coming here for Years since they opened and it has been consistently positive: all hits, no misses) The online ordering is quick and easy if you prefer to limit interacting with people. When I order online and pick up it's always a quick, professional handoff that has me in and out swiftly. The website is professional and so are the restaurant employees. I have met the owner in the past when I have visited and they are so humble and kind to others. I always hate when I see the staff struggling and managers doing nothing but it's not like that here at all. The owners themselves will participate in the work and I think that is very respectable. I haven't been here in at least 4 years and I'm so happy that they are still open. They have some of the best sushi in Woodbridge. I got the crazy yellow tail roll and the shrimp tempura roll. They were both delicious. I also got the spicy miso roman with chicken. It was so rich and flavorful. My husband got the Thai Basil shrimp fried rice and he really enjoyed it. My husband and I are avid sushi goers and we had difficulty finding good sushi when we moved here from the west coast. This is by far the best sushi within 15 miles of the Quantico area that we have found. If I'm wrong then let me know where else I should try! It's also fairly affordable. Their menu has a decent selection but nothing crazy and their service has consistently been great and attentive. The restaurant has never been crowded when we go but that's usually during lunch hours so I'm not sure what it's like at night. If it is crowded then I'd imagine the wait wouldn't be too long since there is plenty of seating. I highly recommend this place as a date night spot due to the vibes the decor gives off. I have never had Pad Thai served this way, and I have had it plenty of times in various places. It was like noodles in tomato soup. I could not have more than a few bites before I asked for the check and left. The "beef" that it was served with was not beef. Whatever it was, it was weird. My first time trying this place. The interior of the restaurant is pretty cool and aesthetic with a night lounge type of vibe with Asian elements. I went during the day, but I can just imagine that this would be a cool place to go dine at at night for dinner. The food is great and nicely plated. I got a seaweed salad, Mr. Mango roll, and an eel and avocado hand roll. The seaweed salad was super refreshing and had a nice spice kick that was exciting. And the mango roll was a curious creation that I actually enjoyed. The eel hand roll was a bit basic and didn't seem to have too much filling (or the amount of rice just submerged it), but I think I enjoyed it. The food made it to the table pretty fast too! First, I will rate the Ambiance and Service. They were both good. The decor was nice, and the restaurant was very clean; neither the floors nor menus were sticky. Surprisingly, many restaurants cannot claim the same. The service was good, but the very nice waitress did not have a good command of English. However, that can improve with experience. She did not follow our request to bring our appetizers and main dishes to the table at the same time. The menu selection was adequate. The food value was overpriced for the quality. We ordered tempura and calamari from the appetizer menu, and Yaki Udon and Yaki Soba from the noodles menu. We asked for all four items to be delivered at the same time to be consumed as a main meal, but they either did not understand us or did not care to follow our request. We lived in Japan for three years, and I visited many times over my Navy career. We both really enjoy Japanese noodles and know what the flavors should be. The food was basically flavorless. All four items we ordered tasted the same--bland. Even the tempura dipping sauce was bland and tasteless. The calamari was very tough and not fresh. The only thing that had flavor was the calamari dipping sauce, but I'm sure that's only because it was the same Thai dipping sauce we use and purchase from local Asian grocery stores. As gorgeous of a place this is and a staple for the Montclair community. The customer service has been lacking. Spontaneously was craving sushi and decided to order the Maki B for pickup. Had order notes for extra spicy mayo and eel sauce and was told during pickup it was extra charge which was not a problem at all. I even tipped on top of it. I get home and I have no eel sauce but instead double soy. I called to not making a big fuss and to just request a refund for just the eel sauce since I didn't receive and was made out to be a liar cause the woman insisted she put the eel sauce in there and repeatedly told me it was in there and what it looked like even after I told her I tasted both sauces. She still didn't believe me so I took my son out of bed and drove back to show her I wasn't lying and requested a refund for all my sauces I paid for . She dug through my bag like it was magically going to appear and then gave me cash when I should have insisted a refund to my card since that's what I paid by but I wasn't going to press the issue for a few dollars . No apology was given by HER mistake . The experience put a bad taste in my mouth and honestly the sushi was terrible and I only ate 5 pieces before throwing the rest in the trash . I have found my new favorite local place - Fo Bistro! After living in DC, Europe, Arlington VA etc- we bought a house in Manassas. I was really worried I would have to give up amazing sushi that I used to have access to in the city and metropolitan areas. I have tried many others in this area that disappointed. Fo Bistro does NOT disappoint! It is INCREDIBLE! THE BEST SUSHI in the area. I ordered an array of sushi, some shumai, ramen for my fiancé, and udon for me. All were impeccable. The lychee martini I had while waiting was also made perfectly. I am so, so happy there is a Japanese eatery of this caliber here in the Montclair-Manassas area. Blown away. I ordered the Salmon Teriyaki bento box for lunch and that thing was delicious!! the salmon was grilled properly, it had that char/burnt/crispiness to the outside of it. The only thing I have to complain about is that it didn't come with rice :\ Sure the 4 pieces of California rolls and 3 pieces of shu mai plus soup and salad is filling but that teriyaki sauce.... you need rice to balance it out. Perhaps next time i'll substitute something for rice, if that's even allowed. Definitely will come back for more. read more

During our second trip, we wanted to have a special date-night option, so we decided to try the Love Boat. Wow! The presentation was beautiful, complete with a green light under ice for the sashimi, orchid decorations, all placed on top of a "boat" server.
