We moved to Stafford Va from Tampa Florida last year and have been looking for good phó and sushi ever since. We have tried many places but flavorful gluten friendly cuisine has eluded us. Sake has been here staring us in the face, somehow we had missed it until now. Today we did a search for local Asian fusion restaurants and "Sake" popped up. We read the review and decided to give it a shot. Upon entry of the parking lot we were not wowed. But like many things do not let the exterior dissuade you from what lays inside. Once you enter the restaurant, the vibe is peace. The restaurant is decorated with fresh flowers and mixed textiles in an array of earth tones. The welcome was immediate and we were seated right away. We noticed 3 tables which had children and judging from their conversations, they were repeat customers. I think that speaks volumes to how well they cater to families at Sake. For allergy sufferers, all allergens are clearly marked on the menu in my case, I'm gluten-free. All items I was able to safely consume were labeled with a GF. There were a plethora of options. I chose a kappa roll as my appetizer and chicken phó as my entree. Jeff ordered spring rolls and drunken noodles. Please see the pictures. Each bite was the asian oasis we have been seeking since we moved here. The appetizers were fresh and delicious. My phó was served with all the "fixens" needed to get it to my exact flavor preference. Jeff's drunken noodles were interesting as he's never had them have a citrusy undertone but he still gave a glowing review. It would be hard not to order the same meal the next time we go, but of course we wanna try some of their other offerings. I'm interested in seeing how the Pad Thai tastes but I haven't had phó for so long, it will be hard to stray from that. I guess we will see. I couldn't partake, but Jeff ordered the fried bananas for dessert. He said they were superb and just the perfect "taste of sweet" at the end of his meal. Please take a look at all the pictures it gives you a really good idea of what the inside looks like and what the food portion sizes are we felt they were amplely sized and that the prices were comparable to similar restaurants in the area. It's a pretty good value for the money. Service was prompt and polite, we had a nice conversation with our server after the meal. In conclusion if you'd like a relaxing and delicious Asian inspired meal in Stafford Va you should definitely give SAKE a try. read more

Walked here on 8/15/23 after getting my microlocs reties and I can say I was in a rush. Wasn't sure they was open m, but decided to give them a try since Yelp said they was. I went inside there was a slight smell nothing too foul but of like maybe the doors and windows needed to be open...stale air I would say. There was a couple of people behind the sushi bar and 2-other workers walking around the room. Mind you it was completely empty in there but them, me, and someone came to pick up and order. The female waitress took my order while the male sat down and proceeded to watch a show on his phone. I ordered the usual suspects: Philly roll, tuna roll, and I think yellowtail. I quite can't remember because I forgot to take pictures. But I also ordered plum wine. Food came out quickly as it should nobody was in there...and the waitress asked if I wanted to take my wine to go! I didn't even know they still was doing that! So I greatly obliged. Would I say this is the best sushi place I've eaten at...well no. But it definitely wasn't the worst. Just wish they would clean up a little bit and get that old stale smell out her business. If I'm in the area and have more time I will give them another try...let's see if the other items including the plum wine even better. read more

I came here because of the awesome looking booths. The service was okay. We ordered a few dishes, but the server gave me the wrong one. It was a minor issue. We had a few simple dishes, but unfortunately, the flavor just was not there. I originally thought this was a Thai restaurant, but it felt more like a sushi bar. That said, the curry chicken rice was actually quite good. We noticed a lot of takeout orders, mostly for sushi. So we decided to try a few sushi rolls, and they were decent but nothing special. Had great service and food last night, the restaurant has always been immaculately clean, service attentive but not intrusive. Servings, including appetizers were more than ample, I had the fried onion soup, california roll with brown rice (have to ask for it, not on the menu), and chicken fried rice. On the way home from an appointment my mom and I decided that we wanted to try something new so we chose Sake and this place did not disappoint. We you come in the tables in the dining area were a bit close together but we came in when they were just opened up so it was spacious enough. Now for the food we started with Bangkok Spring rolls Thai Ribs, and gyoza. They were all delicious however the Thai ribs were so good it was almost disrespectful lol. So for our next round we chose sushi my mom wanted to try octopus so our wonderful waitress suggested that she try the Spicy Squid salad it was so light and refreshing and tasty. For sushi we had the Alaska roll, spider roll and a spicy crab hand roll. When the sushi came out it was the perfect temperature and it tasted so fresh. Next we wanted to try their entrees my mom chose the Ton Katsu and I chose Basil Sauce with and asked for it to be spicy. Needless to say it was delicious and we had leftovers. Me and my friend came here the other day looking for some good pho, We ended up getting the crab rangoon's as an appetizer (which is our go to if it's on the menu) and they were amazing.. our pho came in large portions (which was also a plus) and very very good. The atmosphere/booths are SUPER CUTE for a date! Service was amazing, I wish we would've caught our waitresses name but she was super sweet. I know next time I want Pho I will definitely come here! We ordered Pad See eww and Drunken Noodle. We would rate these 2 dishes 4/10. Not authentic Thai food. Here is the thing. The lady who served our table making us uncomfortable. She tried hard to make us order more!! First she took orders for the drink. We asked for water and she was like " what? Just water?" She Kept asking us " No ice Teas , sodas? How about your kids? Loved my experience at Sake, wonderful service with lovely people. It was great immersion into their culture/customs. Loved the interior design, setup, and use of layout. The food is always well prepared, quick, and beautifully presented. While most restaurants make you feel sluggish or tired, I actually feel energized after eating there. Had an amazing time here the other night! I moved here recently from Canada and I've been looking for great seafood and sushi places, Sake has been the first sushi restaurant to actually deliver FRESH sashimi. It was melt in your mouth nigiri. Definitely a very chill environment, there no rushed feeling, staff is friendly which has also been rare. Being someone covered in tattoos I've been treated very differently here but finally found a place I was treated fairly and got to enjoy eating.
