First off I want to start by saying we came in at 10pm when they close at 11. We had 30 minutes of ordering time. But upon walking in, our hostess/server immediately rolled his eyes and let us know the kitchen closed in 30 and we let him know that's ok. From the moment he sat us he was rude, cold, and unprofessional. He never gave us his name, Never brought us sauces (we had to ask) and everything he brought was slammed onto the table and walked away without a second thought. I'm used to being asked how everything is going, if we need anything, etc. None of that happened during our interactions with him. He barely checked on us, we had to keep calling him over. Then when we get the check once again no thank you for coming enjoy your evening anything. The lack of customer service made the experience unenjoyable to say the least. I understand we came in a bit towards closing but with still an hour I feel like we deserved better service and shouldn't have to charge that behavior to "we're about to close". I visited with my wife and 2 year old and another family with their toddler. They charged us an automatic 20% gratuity for having a large group. 4 adults and 2 toddlers. That doesn't feel normal. As a matter of fact, from the very first interaction with our server Sierra, the experience felt awful. I asked her to move a smoking stack of used grills because the smoke was getting to the kids. She did not move them right away and stared at me like I had offended her. When we ordered our food, she didn't take our drink order and we had to flag her down later. Also, the soup we ordered never came and the other sides arrived extremely late. Almost as if she never put the orders into the kitchen. She was passive aggressive by refilling everyone's water cups except mine. I was the one ordering for the table. It seemed she had some ill will toward me. Overall the service was sloppy, slow, and disrespectful. The quality of meat was okay, but noticeable lower quality compared to previous visits. but the worst was the undercooked rice. The grains were still hard. Additionally, the floors were slippery from grease and the stacks of used grills around every corner felt unsafe for little kids. Unfortunately, today's experience was completely different, and I probably won't be returning. This was my first time sitting at the bar. So much food that I remember thinking I was glad I didn't do the all-you-can-eat option because it would've been a waste. Came here on a Saturday afternoon for lunch. Service was excellent. Our server Giovanni was constantly checking in throughout our meal and making sure we had ever we needed. Cuts of meat were pretty good. I wasn't a big fan of the dipping sauces. I think traditional soybean paste or gochujang sauce would have been perfect. The soybean paste soup was spot on! For the most part the service is good however this recent visit, the burner was too much on a few occasions resulting in us coughing on the smoke from the meat residue on the pan but after bringing that issue up, the server was more careful about it. We decided to do option B for the AYCE and some of their rolls. We opted for the crazy bulgogi roll which was pretty good. We tried a variety of the pork belly and bulgogi and briskets of the meat. They definitely give you good sized portions of the meat and we got rice as well. Ended up being pretty filling. All of their options are pretty well flavored. This was kind of the first time I've been to KBBQ where we did 100% of the cooking and cutting up the meat. Our service was great. The server was attentive, checked in on us multiple times so we could continuously order food, and the food was brought quickly. The bulgogi was a 4/5. I prefer the spicy bulgogi which was a 5/5. We also had the firepan steak that was 3/5. It wasn't anything special, just okay. The soy chicken was the same, it wasn't bad just didn't have a wow factor. Lastly the pork belly, it was a 3/5 (if you do not like fat in your meet - don't get this). Their French fries are SO GOOD. For the amount of food we ate, it was worth the price. The restaurant itself is pretty nice. Not good - at all. I've been to the Firepan at Falls Church and thought I knew what we were getting into. We ordered the steamed egg, olive pork chops, ribeye, and Firepan steak. Steamed egg was overcooked mush. The meats all came out from the kitchen, not grilled in front of you. The ribeye and firepan steak didn't seem to be grilled but rather pan fried. It was overcooked to grey without char. The olive pork was decent...but again, didn't seem grilled. The rice was a war crime. Dried on the outside and mush inside, clearly had been microwaved. I went to this location yesterday for lunch after having gone to the gym, I was famished, hungry and tired and thankfully, I was greeted as soon as I entered. I was seated promptly and served as soon as I sat down. When I was met by my waiter who was really good and informative, I made my selection to choose option C for my all you can eat lunch. As I was cooking my food and eating my now second serving, I found a long, blonde strand of hair in my food, I called my waiter over and immediately asked for the manager as, 1. I already ate a good portion of the food brought to me. 2. I have locs. 3. This was loose hair. And 4. My locs are black. No blonde hair in site. The manager came over, apologized and then told the waiter to tell me that a "discount" would be provided, when honestly, the whole meal which was now unsalvageable, should've been comped. Nonetheless, my check came out, and the only discount applied was my already expected, $3.33 military discount. I asked for the manager to come over and explain, and no one came, ultimately, after waiting for longer than I should have, I chose to leave because I had to pickup my child from daycare. I am highly disappointed, as I have come to this location a few times before and never experienced this. I am more so disappointed in how I was disregarded and avoided once the proof was provided to them and the lack of correction or accountability. Came here with family for a late lunch. I have heard mixed reviews about the place but we figured we'd give it a shot. I've been to the location in Eden but wasn't too big of a fan so I didn't exactly have high hopes. We came in the restaurant and luckily it wasn't too busy so we got seated right away. Our server was very friendly and pretty attentive to our party. The prices were pretty good for the all you can eat options. We opted for option C so we could get more of the higher tier beef. Our server kept all our banchan pretty stocked and was flipping our meat and switching out grills frequently. /she cooked everything really well. Their brisket and the beef belly rib were my favorites. The ribeye was ok, not what I expected though. The sushi in my opinion wasn't really worth getting either. Overall, a great experience. It was ok. It's a trendy hipster spot w K-Pop playing through the restaurant and most of the patrons there were in their 20s or so. The ambiance was nice dim lighting drew my wife and I in but it's very hipster despite the dimmed lights. Food was good. Being our first time we did the all-you-can-eat for 90 mins to try a variety of food which ended up being a variation of beef. The service was ok, we felt kinda rushed to eat the server would tell us on multiple occasions we didn't have to wait until food was finish cooking to add more. Like we get there is a time limit but we like to talk and enjoy the meal. We were in no rush to eat as much as possible. And what we had was plentiful. This was a turn-off for us. Not a one and done as the food was good enough to try again and hope the service is better. The portion sizes are decent, but the side dishes are a bit smaller in offering than other spots I've been to. Pluses: The marinades on the meats are super yummy and they have a good variety of meat offerings. The service is always good and the environment is trendy and casual.
