Ordered takeout from here and was completely satisfied. I had the Hawaii Five-O which was basically a stir fry with brown sauce and it was fully loaded. It has a ton of protein - shrimp, imitation crab, scallops, beef and chicken. And lot of veggies too. It's great. I also ordered the General Tsos chicken and the flavor was pretty much as expected. I just love how much food they give you. The plastic container was filled to the max. Very satisfied with my order and will order this again to satisfy my American Chinese food cravings. read more

My husband and I wanted Chinese food for dinner today and I remember my friend had mentioned Golden House. I ordered the crab Rangoon, chicken fried Rice and Chicken with black bean sauce and OMG; its was better than what I expected. My husband got the beef lo mein and the beef steak appetizer and he left no crumbs. The service was great. Staff were friendly and the wait for the food wasn't that long either. I was a little hesitant when I saw the Yelp rating; however, I went ahead and gave the restaurant a shot. I was not disappointed. The food tasted wonderful and the portions were large! I tried the Beef Low Mein, Wonton Soup, Chicken Broccoli, an Egg Roll, and Crab Rangoon for dinner and I have plenty left to eat for a day and a half. ***Carryout Order*** The woman child decided she wanted Chinese food for dinner so we called it in. Food was ready upon arrival and the gentleman who assisted with the check out was friendly. The chicken was tender and the broccoli was at the perfect crunch level. Soggy broccoli is the worst! Funniest thing about this place is even though you call in, they never ask your name so you gotta know your number or at lest the number you called from to place the order. I know you are wondering why, that's what printed on the receipt. No number, no food I guess lol! They do offer delivery service which right now I'd expect to be untimely since the sign in the window says they are currently hiring for a delivery driver. I came here as a kid and rediscovered online when I moved back in the area. Holy shit is it still delicious. The portions are INSANE for the price, so much food im full but I keep eating. It's dangerously good I can feel myself gaining weight. Ill eat here till the day I die. ALSO, excellent service. When I came in the young lady at the desk told me she added extra spring rolls for free! WHAT?! you mean to tell me that I get amazing food for cheap AND they gave me free food. They're nasty! Make sure you check your food first before you live because they can give spoiled food, that happened to me twice. I will never go back there again. I'm even giving them one star because the lady apologized to me, and tried to replace with something fresh but I refused. I was done with their BS! I seldom give 5stars and the highest rating I will give to restaurants is a 4 unless they really are outstanding in everything. That said, it's good food! Place a lunch special. My order was 22.00 total so I ask for a free order of crab Rangoon's with with my meal. And I was told no because you can't use the coupon for lunch special. I ask where do it say that you cannot use it on lunch special. I was told I have to make a bigger order. The coupon says 20.00 or more. I think this is a switch and bait action. I should have known better just by the looks of things when I walked in and everyone was sitting around on their cell phone. I ordered fried chicken wings w/fried rice and a vegetable spring roll. As I waited for my food, I watched 3 of the 4 employees in the building touch food without washing their hands or put any gloves on. I left it alone because my food was being dropped into hot grease. Got home and everything looked great but didn't taste great. The rice was so bland, the chicken tasted like it had been fried for the 3rd time this week and the spring roll was just plain ol NASTY! Tasted like the vegetable on the inside of this spring roll we're old. You will never have to worry about me eating at this establishment ever again. My favorite go to Chinese restaurant in Woodbridge. I love the steamed veggie dumplings, spring rolls, wonton soup, chicken and cashews, beef and broccoli and Singapore noodles. I go here fairly frequently. Maybe 4-5 times a month. Every time the delivery is about 15 minutes and I always get the food piping hot and fresh. It's a very quick service. The food is great even though I think they might have gotten a new chef or new owners the last 6 months or so. The prices used to be awesome. They've gone up a about $1.50 on each item or more. Overall? Typical Chinese place used to be the cheapest. read more

DO NOT ORDER DELIVERY FROM HERE. I placed an order at 5:45 and the food did not arrive until 8:30. We called multiple times to try and figure out what was going on and finally cancelled the order and they did not communicate this with the delivery driver. Awful customer service..we went in to the restaurant and the manager didn't even want to speak with us. He told the cashier to tell us to TRY PICKING UP NEXT TIME. Ridiculous. -5 stars. read more

It is easy to order online plus you get multiple free item choices depending on how much you spend. When picking up the order, the lady was very friendly and even gave extra fortune cookies. The food tasted great. I only wish they included a small white rice with an entree. read more

Used to like this place.. This is the 2nd time I got bad food from them.. It's like they don't care about their quality of food anymore. The beef chow fun I got was super salty and the noodles were hard-- they didn't soak it long enough prior to cooking it. The rice was bland and dry like brown rice.. Except it wasn't. Sesame chicken was ok, nothing special.. Paid 21$ including tip for the sesame chicken lunch special and garbage beef chow fun. Never again. I'm sure they used fresh rice noodles before. We used to love this place! We have been ordering here for over 8 years. They must have changed ownership though because the new service is terrible. Ordering was a disaster. They told us 30-40 minutes. It took almost 1.5 hours. When we called they said "sorry" and that was it. We told them it was unacceptable and the response was "well what do you want? Something for free?". Ugh. No we want good service like we used to have. And we want good food. We ordered what we usually order and it did NOT taste the same. So between that and the terrible customer service I guess we'll be looking for a new place. read more

The women who works on the front desk is extremely rude, nasty attitude too. I went with my parents and decided to dine in seeing they have "tables". The women behind the register decides to get angry because I asked for hot sauce. Now she wasn't busy to that point where you can say, you know what let me just walk away. She was rude and made it very clear she doesn't care so watch out. The food is not that wow either I've had real Chinese living in New York City so a one star is a compliment. read more

Giving 4 stars for the simple fact that they offer boneless chicken and it was good! Rare to find a Chinese restaurant that carries this nowadays. Grew up eating a non-Hunan style Chinese food (not sure what type it was exactly, but def not Hunan) and it's so hard to find boneless chicken on menus. We ordered multiple dishes including Singapore noodles that was very good and kung pao chicken. The lo mein was not great, but not horrible either. I would say the standouts were the boneless chicken and the Singapore noodles. Given the amount we ordered, they could have thrown in some egg rolls (we were supposed to get general tso's chicken for free based on the amount, but we did not get it). Overall very good given the lack of decent Chinese restaurants in Prince William County. read more

I called in my order and I was quoted 30-40 minutes. After an hour and fifteen minutes went by, I got my food. We ordered General Tso's and Sweet and sour chicken combos. Usually with the SSC, there is a little bit of green peper and onion and maybe even pineapple. There was nothing. The flavor was so bland, I had a few bites and threw it away. The General Tso's was also pretty flavorless. We even offered some to our always-hungry dog (because otherwise we were going to throw everything away) and even he turned his nose up to it. Even the rice. We have tried most Chinese delivery services in this area and had bad experiences and were hoping this one would pull through for us. It didn't and we will not order from here again. NOT WORTH THE WAIT!!! read more
