The Woodbridge area is not a hotbed for authentic Chinese cuisine so even though they offer some dishes that sound on paper to be less Chinese American like wonton noodle soup with roast pork (a Cantonese classic), it ended up being a mishmash of leftover stir fried veggies with lo mein noodles rather than the signature thin egg noodles and the wonton filling used a cheap cut of minced pork. The only saving grace was that the broth was not laden with MSG, which would have been expected to substitute for a well simmered broth. My advice is to stick with the Chinese American classics like lo mein, beef and broccoli, general Tao's chicken, etc since they execute them well and give two scoops of rice with a lunch special proving $7.95. I think they keep their costs down since it is curbside pickup without delivery or dine in, a consequence post-pandemic which they never decided to reverse. An excellent option if you want solid Chinese -American fare at below market price in the style of a drug deal pickup.

Worst service ever! They always get your order wrong! The lady on the phone is rude, makes you think you are stupid and your a liar. The place looks so dirty inside. Its really small. The food taste like its been re cooked and sometimes its burnt. I do NOT recommend this place to anyone! Go to CHINA HOUSE instead and never order online because they call you a LIAR if something was not added. There website is a lie. Good food, disappointing value…read more I ordered General Tso's chicken and I asked to replace the option for a side of rice or noddles with more protein. The restaurant added an additional $3.34 charge to my order, bringing my total to $23.36. For that price, I expected a noticeably larger portion of chicken. What I received looked much closer to a standard entrée than a double-meat order. I've attached photos so people can judge for themselves. At over $23 for a single takeout entrée, customers are naturally going to compare you to other restaurants in the area. That's where this order fell short for me. Places like Table 9, Hibachi Quickway, Umi Japanese Cuisine., and Panda Express offer portions that feel much more in line with what you're paying for. When you're charging higher prices, customers expect either increased portions, premium quality, or both. At China Wok, the portion sizes simply don't justify the price point. If you're looking for food that tastes good, China Wok may work for you. But if you're looking for the best value for your money, I would recommend comparing your options before ordering.
