The only saving grace was that the broth was not laden with MSG, which would have been expected to substitute for a well simmered broth. My advice is to stick with the Chinese American classics like lo mein, beef and broccoli, general Tao's chicken, etc since they execute them well and give two scoops of rice with a lunch special proving $7.95. I think they keep their costs down since it is curbside pickup without delivery or dine in, a consequence post-pandemic which they never decided to reverse. An excellent option if you want solid Chinese -American fare at below market price in the style of a drug deal pickup.

Hands down the worst CUSTOMER SERVICE. I ordered Chicken and Broccoli, Shrimp Fried Rice, Chicken and Shrimp Lo Mein, General Tso's Chicken, and white rice for my family, as I usually do. We looked forward to this meal, as we just went through a tough family ordeal. We set our plates and began eating, and everything tasted odd/off. We all managed to get through a plate and immediately felt sick. Only fifteen minutes passed and I was in the restroom sick. I called to speak to the manager to tell them that I would like my order re-made for my inconvenience. The woman argued with me and refused. I spend well over $50. This place is not REPUTABLE AND NO ONE SHOULD ORDER FOOD FROM HERE. THE BEST NEWS IS THAT MY WHOLE FAMILY GOT FOOD POISONING AND WE ARE SUFFERING NOW. 1 STAR SHOULD NOT EVEN BE GIVEN, SHOULD BE MORE LIKE -5. this is the second review tonight, right after the one on Irie Jamaican, we go over to the China House in the same shopping center, and OMG, From the ghastly signage which reminded me of the Bates Motel from Hitchcock...we enter only to have our noses assaulted by the heavy stitch of roach spray so thick you could taste it, in plain view and I had to get confirmation of what I saw from our good Marine, boxes of raw meat sitting out looking like fresh road kill of something mammalian thing...as the old guy with the clever, pulls a slab of something and begins a hacking away, don't laugh, you can't even make this shit up, I'm calling the health department first thing....wtf is going on in Woodbridge...settled on some good old over priced cardboard call pappy johnas or something like that....cooking at home for the rest of my visit...jezzzz read more

Got food poisoning from the chicken and broccoli and shrimp fried rice. Went back to speak to the manager about my problem and did not get offered any compensation for my trouble. The woman (who seems to run the place) is very unprofessional and rude. I would never order from this place again. STILL SICK AND HAVE MISSED WORK BECAUSE OF THIS. This review is to WARN any potential customers (but only groups of 6 or more) that you are about to be robbed by this restaurant to the tune of 15% should you eat here. My family and extended family of 15 people ate at this restaurant this weekend. Ordered food and the bill was paid. Then the issue of contention happened. Learning from my mother who paid the bill that she questioned the "15% additional service charge for parties of 6 or more" and told this was NOT the same as a tip and that a tip was still expected. I went to the server who closed out the bill and the server confirmed that what was explained to my mother was the position of the restaurant that this automatic service charge for parties of 6 or more was not the same as an automatic gratuity and that a tip still expected. The server said this was per the owner of the restaurant and when asked responded that this policy had been implemented in about the past 6 months. We respect hard work in the food service industry and have never tipped less than 15% to 25% and though this experience meant my family will never be coming back we also didn't want this experience to be the first where a restaurant--even one with shady business practices--felt we did. If you are a group of 6 or more and are considering this restaurant consider this review a warning that this is what you will experience. Watch your bill carefully and see if you have a similar experience because if your experience is the same as ours what you experienced was at a minimum discrimination against larger groups and at worst theft (should your food cost 15% more just because you're in a larger group?) if you're also told the service charge is not the same as a tip/gratuity. Write about your experience. I hope to see other reviews in the future that will either confirm or disprove our 1-star experience. How did the food taste? I've already forgotten. This restaurant has lost our future business though. On a different note we were here for a birthday celebration and afterwards had the best three-generations bowling experience to date!
