Went first day of the opening. Made it there at 12:30 for a 1pm open time and there was at least 35 people already in line. This place is in a commuter empty parking lot with a set up of some small tables, you are welcomed to bring your own along with chairs. Made to order by 1:53pn, luckily we had our own set up that prevented us from standing so long in the sun while waiting to order. My family and I, took turns standing in line. Now to the food, while the lechón pit is traditional as in Puerto Rico, there's a few fusions going on with the rest of the food items. The sweet plantain is a relish, the salad is a papaya slaw that taste a bit more like spiral cucumber salad and the dessert had some other twist to it, tembleque de piña colada (a lot on the sweet side). The staff was attentive and very customer service oriented. They made sure to browse the wait line providing the menu ahead of time and answering questions. The rice was really tasty (arroz con gandules) and the pork cooked to tenderness. The banana sweet bread was warm and tasty. The guineitos in escabeche were a bit hard but the escabeche sauce was done right. I know it was the first day but the line/ordering system needs to be expedited better. I still I tend to go back and try some ribs and other menu items. I see this as a nice spot to get your Puertorrican fix-in with lots of tradicional drinks to order from. Give it a try!

We got catering from Lechonera DMV for an event at my office. Let me tell you everyone was raving about the food, got seconds and wanted some to go!!! It was amazing! I'm from Puerto Rico and this just put me back on the island . I took some leftovers Guineitos to a friend and she went over within the week to checkout the foodtruck herself and try the rest of their offering with her family. Richard delivered the food himself and had everything labeled and packed very neatly. We got Lechón con Cuerito, Pavochón, Arroz con Gandules, Guineítos, and of course Tres Leches!!! Let me tell you I have tried plenty of tres leches in my life but there's is ANOTHER LEVEL of good! I'm drooling just writing this post. Go get you some!!! Highly recommend!!!!

We were so excited to try Lechonera. It became very popular in social media. We of course got the lechon plate with the sides and decided to add one piece chicken. We were disappointed with the food. The flavor was lacking for us and we expected to get that crunchy lechon skin but we didnt get any on our lechon plate. I'm definitely open and willing to try them again.

Absolutely delicious! The food is on point. We were pleased with the flavors, and the servings are generous. Everything about this place felt like home. El lechón estaba súper delicioso.

1st, the customer service is the absolute best as they are so personable and attentive and then food, oh the food! The Chinese pork is slightly sweet yet succulent and tender while the lechonera chicken, especially the breast, is so moist its almost falling of the bone. The rice and peas are seasoned to perfection and whatever the pink sauce is should be bottled and sold by the gallon because I wanted to drink it! The green cilantro sauce is herbaceous yet light while the vinegar sauce is spicy with a kick that balances the meal perfectly! We will definitely be making the 40 minute drive weekly for more.

Omg, I'm so glad I finally gave this truck a try!!! The food was phenomenal! I ordered a double portion of protein, and will have enough to make this 3 meals! Stop reading this, look over their menu, so you're prepared to order ahead on the Clover App next weekend! (Saturday's & Sunday's in Woodbridge, 1pm til they're sold out.)

Updating my review to reaffirm if you want true comida boricua this is your spot...the costillas, the pollo, and lechon (ask for cuerito) along with the traditional pique doesn't make me miss back home.

A nice variety of different foods and cultures. I went with Que Rico, with Puerto Rican inspired cuisine. I ordered grandmas favorite or Abuelas Favorito which was rice with ham and grilled chicken. You get 2 options. I opted for red beans and fried plantains. The rice was very tasty and the smoked ham was plentiful. The grilled chicken tasted great and has many pieces. The beans were flavorful with some potatoes. The plantains were crispy and great. The sweet bread or pan sobao, was soft, large, and reminded me of food in Puerto Rico. All the ingredients and food tasted fresh and so good. Would definitely go back and try a different restaurant choice but this one was A-One.

They were crispy, good amount of filling and nice flavor overall. Fantastic. I think they should serve the meal with a bit more rice. The Pernil, pulled pork was sort of dry and unfortunately the large side of garilc mojo sauce (garlic oil) was sideways in the bag and by time I got it home, the oil had all leaked out into the paper bag and onto the floor mat inside my car. The mofongo bites listed as 5 bites, however I only received 4. They were on the sweet side. The masa from the plantain taste too ripe for my liking. I prefer more green plantains in my mofongo. The tostones were pretty good. The pictures made them look a bit larger, but oh well. This was my first time ordering from a ghost kitchen, and the concept is a brilliant idea because you can order from so many cuisines! You can try so many restaurants in one place. Quite amazing.

The place is nicely decorated and spotless, and the staff were friendly throughout. While I don't claim to be an expert in Puerto Rican food, overall the flavors were excellent. We started with the empanadillas, which were crispy and hot. The canoas were also delicious. The plantains were perfectly ripe and sweet, and the meat filling was flavorful and provided a nice savory balance. For entrees, we all went with combo plates. Each comes with pickled onions and a small side salad (kind of like a pico de gallo), plus your choice of rice, like white rice, tostones, maduros, or seasoned rice like arroz mamposteao or arroz con gandules. The pollo was moist with a really nice aromatic seasoning on top. The pernil asado was tender with crispy skin. The bistec encebollado was my favorite. The beef was very tender, tangy from the vinegar marinade (it actually reminded me a bit of Filipino adobo), and full of flavor. Both seasoned rice options were yummy, though we all slightly preferred the arroz mamposteao as it was a bit more flavorful. We finished with flan de queso, which tasted fresh and wasn't overly sweet. Street parking was easy even on a Saturday evening. I'd go there all the time if I lived nearby!

I had the mofongo (with the garlic sauce) with the carne frita (fried beef). I'm Puerto Rican and the carne frita was probably the best I've ever had. It was crispy but not hard and it was very tender and tasty. And the garlic sauce ... OMG, so delicious. I also got chicken and pizza empanadas and a plantain soup to go. Both were pretty good too. The waiter was nice and attentive and made good suggestions. My only complaints are that I had to pay for parking and I thought the food was a little pricey for PR food/lunch. But considering the portions were decent, that there aren't a ton of PR restaurants in MD and that it was delicious, I would go back there if in the area again.

It was our first time here and we couldn't decide what we wanted. After drooling over the plates that went by, we asked the owner to help us narrow down our options. We landed on the Chicharron Sampler for an appetizer. For our main courses, we had the Bandeja Paisa and the Paella Caribena. We were also eyeing the Dominican-style beef stew and the Sancocho Soup. We asked for a sample of the Sancocho soup and that's when we found out they make everything to order - including the soup! His wife went into the kitchen and whipped up a sample of the soup ... we didn't mind the wait for the sample as we knew she was working her magic! It did not disappoint. We ordered a large soup to go! It'll be cold later this week and this will be perfect in the rainy weather. So I pulled in, parked, walked in and the restaurant was cleaned with a beautiful bar. I ordered 3 items: 1) Beef empanadas 2) Cuban sandwich 3) Buffalo wings. As the appetizers arrive to the table, though I only chose one empanada out of the three flavors they offer: cheese, beef or chicken. I chose beef which was served with a special sauce (mayo and ketchup), because it was well seasoned and the filling was packed, the sauce wasn't needed. The crust was thin, flaky and delicious on its own. The buffalo wings served their homemade ranch, with 8 pieces were juicy, tender and delicious. Unfortunately the Cuban sandwich fell flat for me. The ingredients were ham, cheese, roasted pork, pickles, mayonnaise and mustard. The sandwich was flattened like a panini and I was excited for the first bite but the protein was too dry. As I lift the bread, there was only a teaspoon mayo and mustard spread. It was served with matchstick fries and a ramekin of ketchup. I wanted to ordered desserts but unfortunately they do not make all of their homemade desserts (flan, tres leches, rice pudding) every day. You will have to called in to see what they have before dining in. The only dessert available that day was their flan. My server Karla was friendly and attentive. I would make another visit to try other items on their menu.
