Me and my girlfriend just stopped in and got 2 sandwiches, 2 shakes, and a bowl of chili Mac. The sandwiches were pretty awful just boring, no flavor, and just generally felt cheap which is wild because it was 50 something dollars!?! Highway robbery, the milkshakes were terrible. Exact same result as just blending chocolate syrup and ice cream at home just boring. The cookies and cream legit tasted like a vanilla shake. NOW the good. My friend got the cheese steak type sandwich they have on the menu and he didn't enjoy it. The meat was too fatty and there was nothing satisfying about it to him. This place is still great! We love potbelly! If you've got a family and what a sandwich that's not subway and feels a little like Quiznos, this is your place. They not only have sandwiches that you can customize in any way, like remove bread from the inside of the sandwich, but they also have soups, which are quite delicious on a cold day. Our friend grew up in VA and he had mentioned that he really loved their sandwiches so we decided we would have some for lunch. It was a little confusing how to order, I thought you had to order your sandwich at the register but you actually have to order it a little before. I order the Avo Turkey add red onions because, duh and my husband got the Italian, we also got an Oreo cookie shake and a dream bar to share. The oreo shake was so delicious, thick and sweet but not too too sweet, the dream bar eep, definitely my dentist's nightmare, it was a little too sweet for me. My husband loved his sandwich but when I got mine they totally forgot the avocado for the avo turkey. They did give it to me in to-go cup, that I spread onto my sandwich. YES, I open my sub and there is a massive size knife hanging out of it. How does someone forget to remove a knife bigger than the sandwich. Considering taking some sort of legal action. I am not really a sandwich person, but when I do get the craving for a sammie my belly leads me straight to Potbelly!!! To date, I think it is safe to say this is my favorite location to date. We dropped in on a rainy Saturday to grab some lunch and I think a few others had the same idea! First time in a long time, I arrived and the line was almost to the door but do not walk away, I repeat do not walk away. The line moves really quickly so the wait time is pale in comparison. I usually opt for the Chicken and Cheddar on a flat since it is the lease amount of yeast I can consume at one time. I am not really a bread person so the flat is just enough to hold my sammie together. I was excited to see they had the new Dill Pickle chips, which by the way are worth the try, at least once even for the faint of pickle hearts. They were actually quite tasty. Gave me that dilly dilly feeling. Word to the wise, if you want a milkshake order it when you order your sandwich otherwise, your milkshake will not bring nay boys to the yard because you would have waited to long for it, lol. We made this mistake which resulted in an additional about 5 minute wait for it to be made after our sammies were made, dressed and ready for consumption. If you like live music, it is the perfect day to visit as they have a gentleman who plays a guitar and jams out to some of the current and classic tunes. Kinda cool, kinda cool. I had the meatball sub and a friend had the chicken salad. The chicken salad got a decent review, she wished it wasn't toasted. Ordered in the app and didn't see an option to not have that done so I'm not sure if that's an option to adjust but just make a note. The meatball sub was also toasted which was fine, the whole wheat bread was good, the Italian seasoning wasn't heavy which was nice but I'm deducting a couple stars for it being so salty. Like I'm on a low sodium diet so for others like me, beware. That had to blow my salt intake for the week, couldn't finish it. Visited on a Saturday afternoon. Fast quick service, menu is pretty easy to understand for being a first time visiter. Sat inside to eat which was quiet and clean. Overall the sandwich was good but it does remind me a lot of a subway type place. Price is comparable to other sandwich shops. We ate at Potomac Pot Belly on 8/8/22. Staff was really nice but it's ridiculous when a sandwich shop had no onion for the sandwiches, no hot peppers, and coke fountain drinks. Sandwiches for us are not good without onion and hot peppers, which they are known for. The sandwich tasted so bland it was hard for us to eat it, but we were hungry so we choked it down. Last time were here there was no small soup bowls. Not what the problems is but if you want to have paying customers you need to have the product that makes your food good. My recent visit to Potbelly Sandwich Shop in the new Stonebridge area was a success! I was craving a new lunch spot and was looking for one near me last minute when I decided to give this place a try. I got the Grilled Chicken & Cheddar sandwich (Originals size) on the multigrain bread and added lettuce and tomato to it. I would give the sandwich a 7/10 overall. The chicken tasted great with the cheddar accompanying it. With the price being $5.85 for my sandwich itself I was a bit worried I wouldn't be filled up by it, but that was not the case. It was a pretty good sized sandwich! I got Baked Lays (+$1.25) on the side. The decor of this place is interesting. It is sort of old timey southern style, but all over the place at the same time. You can tell they are going for something different. It wasn't the most interesting decor in the world, but interesting to look at to say the least. They have a guaranteed time through the line of 8 minutes, which I really like. It wasn't busy when I went and they took about 5 minutes from order to check out, so 8 minutes seems like a bit of a stretch if it were to be packed. I'm not sure if they have a "free meal guarantee" if they take longer or not. That might be something to check into if you decide to try this sandwich shop out! read more

My fiancé and I were craving a sandwich and decided to check this spot out for the first time. I would say that this is probably one of the best sandwiches I have EVER eaten! The bread was soft, the toppings were a must, and the selection was great. I ordered a turkey club (comes with bacon) on multigrain bread with lettuce, hot peppers, tomatoes, Italian seasoning, and mayo. The hot peppers are a must! It gives the sandwich a little kick, but wasn't too spicy. The portion sizes are excellent. I was stuffed by the time I finished eating about 3/4 of the meal. I decided to order a side pickle ($1.00) instead of chips ($1.25). The pickle was HUGE! I definitely suggest splitting this with someone. In total, our meal cost about $16! The only thing I didn't see (unless I missed it or overlooked the menu) was any options to make your sandwich a combo meal. Other than that, the sandwich tasted great and the service was quick (they guarantee that they will have you ordered and your food made within 8 minutes). I often stop by here, sometimes mid afternoon other times late at night, and each time I've been greeted with a smile and my order has been made accurately. They have fresh mozz (extra $$) for a limited time while tastes great with my grilled chicken and cheddar sandwich. I love that they have partnered up with Level Up so getting bonus perks is great! There have been times that their scanner is down and I'm unable to use my perks and collect points for my visit and they've done nothing to compensate me. read more

Ooooo and that damn chicken pot pie soup. Once I made my way through the line it seemed very rushed and the staff didn't seem happy. My soup was freaking amazing. I can eat that stuff by the tub load. My sandwich wasn't bad. I wasn't that crazy about it. Hot peppers were good but not sure why I had celery on my sandwich. I went to the Potomac location for lunch on 3-3-22, I ordered two wreck sandwiches , chips and a drink. They were busy but not overwhelmed. One of my sandwiches were switched with another customers and I didn't realize it until I got home. I immediately called and spoke to the manager "JD" and he apologized and told me to come back anytime to get my sandwich. Well I did today 3-4-22 and the manager "JD" was there he apologized again and even gave me a free cookie. I had added an extra sandwich for my son which I was prepared to pay for but he said no.
