Been at this 5Guys many times. Easy come, pick up and go! There's lots of room for social space distancing and the staff are fast at preparing meals and burgers. It's extra clean. This is 100% service review. Its honestly heart breaking having this experience considering I am very familiar with five guys standards and mangers and directors. I know that they would have cringed at the situation that took place at this location. After asking for crispy fries I was told they could not complete my request because their fries were crispy. I said that was fine as long as they were stiff and not soggy. I hate soggy fries. Upon entry and saying my name for pick up I noticed team members whispering. Being a general manager myself I figured they were just clarifying my order for excellence. I was told by yousif if that was his name that I was waiting on crispy fries I said " take your time" after driving ten minutes and waiting an additional 5-7 i got my fries yay.I could see crispy fries coming of the pass. I didn't double check them before leaving . All this time my fries had to be perfect. Nope got to my car lighter and soggier than ever like they did it on purpose. I didn't want to think this way but being the only African American person in the restaurant amongst staff ,idle management and guests. It really felt a bit prejudice. With everything going on in the world you don't want that stigma I returned and Yousif literally was yelling at me " its not personal , youre not getting them", at this point I took it personal. I am a guest. Who has been a general manager at multiple fast casual restaurants, and full service. Id fire my team member on the spot for ever going back and fourth with a guest, raising his voice . I noticed the manager in the back and asked if he would like to adress me instead of his team member. Yousif then cut again " he has no time for you he is busy". I know 5 five guys and this is not how you want to present your establishment at such a critical time. I will be in further contact with corporate. I stopped in for lunch on a weekday.... They weren't busy at all during lunch time, so I was immediately greeted and placed my order. The person taking the order was decent, nothing special. Prices are rather high for their food. I did ask for my burger to be bagged separately from my fries, as I hate the greasy burger wrapper and they happily accommodated me with this. The food was OK; burger bun wasn't warm, but was fresh, even if a little hard and the lettuce was too chunky and the tomato wasn't ripe, but the rest was decent. The patties are hand formed and laid out on a fire grill - cooked to order. Free peanuts while you wait and bottomless fountain drinks for dine-in customers. This location is tucked under the All American Steakhouse on the lower level at Merchant Plaza in Lake Ridge. The parking can be a hassle on weekends, especially during peak hours. Overall the restaurant is kept clean and the service is good. No bells and whistles here - just hamburgers and fries served in aluminum foil, styrofoam cups and placed in greasy brown paper bags. read more

I love 5 guys. Probably, one of the best fast, fresh burger joints in town. But tonight I totally got taken. The large and the medium fry were just the cup full and not the usual pour the same amount in the bag. Of course I couldn't tell because there were also 3 burgers in the bag. I had asked for the large to be in its own bag with the burger I ordered to go with it and it wasn't done. Maybe if I had insisted to have it prepared as I had asked? When I dine in the staff is friendly, quick and efficient but recently I placed an order online and had to send one of my employees to pick up for me which is a quick 5-7 minute drive. When she arrived, the staff told her they threw the food away because there was a 10-minute hold limit on the food, which isn't stated in the website as far as I could see. Her frustrations were obvious when she returned because she had repeatedly told them to have the order re-made and stated the manager was unfairly rude and impolite regarding the situation and seemed to be making up arbitrary rules as they went. The food in this location (and many locations) is always top notch. The employees are always friendly and almost always have a smile on their faces. I went in around noon and there were about 3 workers that I could see. The Hispanic woman that was cashier had a smile on her face for every person ordering food. And even when she went to help with the orders in the kitchen, you could tell it wasn't that fake generic smile that corporate always wants from workers. Someone should give her and the rest of the 2 others working there at the time a raise or some recognition. As for the food. All I got was a Double Bacon Cheeseburger. When it came out it was warm and fresh as food should be the bacon, nicely crisp and not burnt. The infamous fast food American cheese was melted and gooey possibly from the foil wrap that Five Guys is known for wrapping their sandwiches with. And it came out fast although there were like 2 others ahead of me. Would definitely return. The place was very clean (granted it just opened an hour prior). The quality is basically what you get at any Five Guys, so my baseline is five stars. Why three? A few times they've failed to put cajun seasoning on the side when asked. But more importantly, this location lacks a Coke Freestyle machine, common at every other Five Guys I've ever visited. They've also yet to install a milkshake station. So... while it's not something they've done wrong, per se, this Five Guys feels a few steps behind where the company is going, which is odd considering it's one of the closest Five Guys to the HQ in Lorton. Finally had to send her inside to pick up our order since no employees brought it out to us, even though we were assured they would when I called ahead. These were the first burgers that made me really love burgers! I used to hit up the original location in Arlington when I was growing up before they went viral. Story goes, the creator of Five Guys had 4 sons and he told them "College or you help me open a burger joint". They decided to open the burger place and rented out a spot next to a bakery in Arlington. (I lived down the street, but at that point they had two locations but was not yet a franchise). The fifth boy was only a baby at that time. They used the buns from the bakery and eventually bought out the bakery after becoming known as a great local spot for yummy burgers. Now, they are rich as hell with a francise across the Nation and have their annual conventions at the Gaylord at the National Harbor. The End. Convenient, clean fast food and yummy food! We order on our phones using the Five Guys App and put in all our options, drive over to Five Guys down the street and it's right there waiting for us! The regular sized fries used to FILL up the brown bag and you'd have enough for at least 3-4 people. Now they improved their fries recipe but the size downgraded and you'll only be able to feed 2 at most. Try it with the vinegar mixed with ketchup. Yum! Peanuts. Lots of windows, the view is not too bad, Old Bridge Road and townhouses on one side, a decently landscaped shopping center with a little pond and fountain on the other side. It is more darkly lit than some and they typically play their music at a moderate to loud volume, but there's also not as much echo as other locations. There is a very good frozen custard place right in the same lot. If you're coming from Old Bridge Road, you will see it after the CVS. Coming from the Parkway there is a McDonald's at the corner, and the anchor store is Safeway. The Five Guys is on the lower level under the Steakhouse Bar on the opposite side. I gave four stars because I like Five Guys but I think it's slipping a little. We've eaten here a lot this year and I've had a couple unpleasant food experiences (raw green peppers both times). I've also seen a few violations that definitely shouldn't happen openly in a chain restaurant (not specific to this location). read more

Try BR Frozen Yogurt for dessert, it's only a couple of store down. They give you very large portions, so a small is more like a large at BR. If your hungry for a fast food burger, this is the place. This Five Guys is pretty good! The employees are friendly and attentive. The burgers are always right and come out pretty quickly. The fries are very good, especially when you put salt and pepper on them! The only two issues I have with this place are the dining area and the peanut box. Although the dining area looks pretty clean, the tables are a little sticky and not taken much care of by the employees. The peanuts can be a lottery on quality. Either you get a really good batch or a bad batch. I have watched them refill the peanuts and all they do is take out a new box and then dump the rest of the peanuts for the other box. The issue with this is that if they do this every time, there is a high risk for a rancid peanut or a scoop full of broken peanuts. The best thing todo is just throw the bottom peanuts away. Other than those two issues, this Five Guys is pretty good and I would recommend this place to any Burger lover. I know this is probably the closest I'll get to an In-N-Out Burger, so I will definitely be back! read more
