Several work colleagues and I popped in for lunch on a Wednesday. We had no trouble getting a table for four at 1145am. The dining room is bright and comfortable, with four top tables nicely spaced apart. We all opted for their $11 lunch special. You start with soup or salad and then have a selection of a dozen dishes and a choice of protein. I picked the chicken tom yum soup. I found it tasty and not too spicy. However, the bits-to-broth ratio could have been better, especially since there were not enough mushrooms. My chicken pad see ew was well prepared. The portion was generous, and the sauce was terrific. Plenty of chicken was in there, but I would have liked more than one broccoli fleurette for my serving. Service was friendly and fast. We were in and out in less than 45 minutes. I'll keep Siam Bistro in the lunch rotation. read more

We came in for the first time to dine in, but have been ordering take out for a long time from here. This is the best* thai spot in the area by far. Our family also all order from here when they're in town. This was my first visit to this Bistro, and I like it. The atmosphere was quaint and the staff were pleasant. My order was explained, and not from the menu, kung pao chicken with shrimp. This place to me use to be really good prior to Covid and them shutting down the dining inside. As of today they still only do take out order.I order for pick up this week and the food it still good but not compare to what it use to be. This time I order Pad Cee Eew Beef $13- This dish use to be really good and comforting but this it was just ok. The noddle wasn't coated and stir fried in the soy sauce, I seen so many white spot of noodle that was still stick together with out any sauce being absorb in to the noddle. The beef was over cook and tough it might been an off day for them but I would try it again next time. Beef Laos Noddle $12.50- Being that I am half Laos this is not authentic Laos noddle soup at all. In Laos we would call it Khao Piek Sen. Don't get me wrong the soup wasn't bad but It more thai soup compare to Laos, the soup had tad of sweetness that threw me off and the broth taste almost instant powder base mix with maggi seasoning sauce. The laos way will be more savory, it have potential to be better and the broth needed to be thicker and not too liquidly. It was good after i added some fish sauce and chill oil to balance the sweet in the broth. All over i will go back to try them again but probably stick with Thai Food and not laos food. read more

It was just okay. Ordered delivery and got the food in the time they said it'd be delivered, so that was a plus. The delivery guy was nice. The food was piping hot. All good so far. But then the actual food... First the good. the calamari app was tasty. I'd get that again. The chicken panang was okay. Nothing to write home about, but it was decent. I wouldn't be upset to eat that again. But the beef drunken noodles had pieces of beef that were essentially just fat and gristle, and flavor-wise it needed a lot more of something. IDK if the answer is salt or MSG, but something was missing. Same with the chicken tropical fried rice. There was very clearly something missing. It was just... bland. I wanted more something. I just can't tell you what that something is. Personally, if this was my first taste of Thai food, I'd never go back. But because I know how delicious it can be this just fell flat. read more

Siam Bistro NEVER DISAPPOINTS! I've been coming here since I was a young teenager (I'm 34 now). It's very popular in the area; the last few times I've gone it's been both busy in restaurant and there are constantly people coming in and out for their takeout. All the staff have been very friendly as long as I've been going. It's kinda small inside but cute, and usually there are fresh flowers on the table. I judge every other Thai place using SB as a baseline. Nobody comes close, except for Kiin Imm in Rockville. I'd love for Siam to add khao soi to the menu! read more

Trying a new Thai restaurant can be scary sometimes, but you won't regret trying Siam Bistro! We ordered through Door Dash on a Saturday night-- which by the way, great service by Door Dash! We got 3 orders of spring rolls, 2 Pad Kee Maus, a Pad Thai, Crispy Duck entree and a Shrimp Pad Kraw Prow. We also all picked different "spicy" levels as they have mild, medium and spicy. We put "extra spicy" for most! After ordering, we wanted to make sure we got extra spicy oil on the side. A quick phone call to the restaurant got the job done! When everything arrived it was neatly packaged and everything was clearly marked. They even honored our special instructions! For one of the Pad Kee Maus we added broccoli, and the other we added mushrooms (no charge!). And we got lots of the spicy oil! The spring rolls were delicious and packed with flavor. The mushrooms were a surprise, but good none the less! The Pad Kee Maus and Pad Thai were pretty standard, but again, really good and a generous portions. The only complaint our party had was that the Crispy Duck Entree was a little too crispy. Sounds silly, but it was almost too crispy to eat-- but if you're into that kind of thing, you might like it! We paid $4 extra to add shrimp to the chicken Pad Thai and received 4 shrimp. Yup. That is $1/shrimp, as you can see in the photo. This place had quality Thai food, waitresses that were very tentative and a great ambiance. I ordered the fried dumplings (pork and shrimp) -- these are not typical dumplings, they're a little smaller and have a delicious sauce on them. They don't taste porky or seafoody so thats a plus. Fancy looking and tasted just as good as it looked. I ordered the red curry as my main entree -- super spicy (in the best way, the spicy that makes you sweat and your nose run) and it was one of the best red curries I've ever had. Don't eat here if you have any food allergies. I told them I have a severe peanut allergy and there can be no cross contamination, while ordering drunken noodles that don't have any nuts. I ended up in the hospital all night in anaphylactic shock, almost died after eating here. I called them the next day to inform them & they were not at all empathetic, and claimed it didn't happen from their food since drunken noodles don't have nuts. Tried this resto for the first time , sorry but i don't think I'll order again. We ordered pad kaprow, the sauce was too watery and with that the it's lacking flavor. We also ordered the Siam beef bistro appetizer, the beef meat was ok but the sauce that came with it was too sweet and it did not go along with the beef and lastly beef pad Thai . The noodles were cooked perfectly and so was the meat but the the pad Thai had no flavor , it was plain and looks like didn't have enough sauce since the noodles looks plain. But the just wanted to say all the staff were nice it's just didn't passed our taste bud. read more

Was craving sticky rice and did a google search and this location popped up. After looking at menu decided I would really give it a try. Drove about 30 minutes but worth every second. The lady that took my order was very polite and willing to help in my order. Also very clean inside. Ordered the Tropical Fried Rice combo with Chicken and Shrimp, Thai Fried Rice combo with Beef and Shrimp, Satay, Thai Salad and of course the Sticky Rice. I mentioned 1 of the sticky rice was for tomorrow lunch at work, the lady immediately asked if I wanted her to not heat one up because "heat to many times rice gets hard" nice of her! So she heated 1 up and left one cold with instructions on how to heat it up. The food was astronomically delicious I will be a regular customer there from now on. Been back a few times now and I think their food is just ok. I ordered the tom yum soup, drunken noodles, and a thai coffee. The tom yum did not have that spicy sour kick to it, =( wish i was back in Thailand. What really disappointed me was the drunken noodles, it was so smushy and didn't have that spicy basil taste to it. It had that sweet taste to it and it was weird. The thai coffee was fantastic, tasted just like vietnamese iced coffee. I will probably eat here again but I wouldn't go out of my way for it. And I definitely would not get the drunken noodles again. The bro had the pad see eww and that was good! Place looks clean but the utensils could use some work. Check it before you eat! read more
