Vegan friendly & healthy, hummus based fast food. Food: The restaurant model is similar to a Chipotle but for hummus, you select a bowl type and add toppings along the way. I selected the full hummus bowl but you can split it and do half and half with either couscous or salad. I tried the full hummus bowl and it was too much hummus for me, I will be doing half hummus, half salad next time. I recommend their roasted peppers, roasted garlic, & pickled onions as toppings. Each bowl comes with the option of a white or whole wheat pita. The hummus is always fresh as they make a new batch every 20 mins. Make sure you have some of their free Turkish coffee on the way out! Service: The staff on duty was happy to walk me through all of their options on my first visit, they gave me a samples of their hummus & dressings. Helpful & super friendly! Location: The front parking lot gets pretty full but there is additional parking in the rea of the shopping plaza. The restaurant was spotless! Meals are made to order and orders are placed (and paid for) via contactless menu or from the menu screen at the store-front register. The wide range of menu options vary from fresh juices/smoothies to appetizers and full meal platters. I ordered "La Venezolana" bowl which comes with rice, beans, plantains, jackfruit, mushrooms, sautéed onions and topped with guacamole. The platter had just the right portion sizes, for me and I finished the entire bowl, which kept me full for the rest of the day. My favorite was the guacamole, it was made and seasoned to perfection. They use really cheap ingredient, always finding bits of ligament and cartilage in their chicken, and steak is tough obviously budget meat but they are charging sky high prices. I really wanted to enjoy Happea's but... My husband is a vegetarian and I try to keep mostly plant-based / vegetarian myself. It's not always easy finding a restaurant with tasty vegetarian options, but Happea's is perfect for that. With both got hummus and quinoa bowls stopped with all sorts of tasty toppings. We both enjoyed our meals, until about an hour or so later. Major stomach issues followed. I really don't think the food was spoiled, but chickpeas and quinoa can cause major bloating agassiness is not cooked thoroughly and I think that may be what happened here. I stopped in during their soft opening and I was really impressed. I met the owner and a couple of other employees and they couldn't have been any nicer. Located in strip mall in Hollywood, the place is spotless and decorated so nicely. The main premise here is you get a warm hummus bowl and add as many toppings as you want from their more than 20 toppings. Many of the toppings are different fire roasted veggies. They also have many different tahini sauces and spices that you can add to your bowl as well.The pita bread was so fresh and soft. The owner said that they will be adding more when your items in the upcoming weeks. If you love creamy flavorful hummus, you shouldn't miss this place! read more

Speaking of, I ordered the buffalo "chicken" wrap which had plenty of classic fixings and a side of homemade-tasting chips. It was hearty and hit the spot, but heavy at the same time. $18 for a meatless wrap is quite a bit, so I was hoping for more health-focused ingredients at least or maybe some leftover-sized portions. We ended up splitting a bowl since it is enough for 1.5 people but not likely to go back anytime soon - unless they lower the cost. Seriously- you check out and it's like 21$ for one serving.
