This is my second time ordering from this bakery through Uber Eats, and I've been really happy with the experience both times! Their tres leches cake is delicious, super moist and flavorful. This time, I tried the passion fruit tres leches for the first time and it was a really unique twist. The tangy, slightly sour passion fruit mixed with the sweet milk was surprisingly amazing. Price wise, I think it's pretty reasonable, not too expensive for what you get. The only small thing I'd mention is that the cake doesn't quite taste like traditional Dominican cake, at least not the kind I'm used to. But even with that said, it's still really good and worth trying! read more

When I tried to explain to them what they did wrong they turned it on me and tried to make me look like I was wrong when my text had simple words and i confirmed with the girl on the phone. I'm going to give this place 3 stars because their Dulce de leche cake is absolutely delicious. I've tried the chocolate mouse and guava and it was okay. I would go back to this place specifically for a slice of Dulce de leche ( caramel). This place is pricy. I was a bit confused as to why the small cake I bought was suppose to be for 4 people, however it was tiny. When I purchase a slice for $7 it's huge so for $25 for - cake for 4 people I was expecting something else. I was a bit disappointed. That being said I would only go back for the Dulce de leche. Was going to wait to review this spot until I returned at least one or two more times but alas one of my items was moldy! Everything else otherwise was wonderful. The store itself is BEAUTIFUL inside and out. There's pink florals galore on the interior and exterior of the bakery and neon lights perfect for instagrammers. The selection of baked goods is lovely and the menu is about the standard pricing you'd expect to see. The cake was best described as "juicy" because the layers were saturated with simple syrup (I think) which I really liked because it definitely keeps the cake tasting fresh. But the same could not be said about the croissant which had a fairly sizeable green splotch of mold on the back. That doesn't happen in a day so I'd don't want to know how long they'd been sitting there. The cookies were okay. I wish there was some more jam in the middle. There's something about the taste that is sweet in an almost artificial way? The chocolate was okay. The best Dominican bakery hands down! They have the most delicious cakes and pastries and their shop is so beautiful! You can tell they possess care and attention to all aspects and details of their bakery.. My absolute favorite desserts are their Dominican dulce de leche cake and their chocolate Mousse cheesecake! AH-MAZ-ING! What I love about their Dominican cake is that it's not like those super dense, sometimes dry Dominican cakes you get at other bakeries. We ordered a cake for delivery at 4pm and it didn't arrive until 1 hour before we had to leave the venue. Arrival was at 7pm party ends at 8pm, horrible service. Terrible customer service and the cake wasn't even great. If I'm spending $500 on a cake i would hope for it to at least arrive on time. I was charged $50 for delivery. I asked for the cake to be delivered at 4pm..... it was not delivered until 7pm!!!! When i called multiple times to ask for an ETA they did not care that the cake was 3 hours late, did not apologize, and basically told me it'll get there when it gets there. I rented a venue for a certain amount of hours. So imagine all the pictures of my sons first birthday without a cake to display. bakery aesthetics is lovely! Yet not even that deserves 1 star. Their Customer service is HORRIBLE! I placed my order with a young lady by the name of Vale she seemed like she didn't want to work this very day which explains why she took down my order however. Although i didn't feel confident my order was taken properly I trusted the insistence of the bakers to capture the exact cake i wanted via my pic from pinterest which was the inspo i sent directly to hanoli by email. Fast forward to when i made it to pick up my cake i was baffled on how different the cake looked compared to my request, absolutely nothing but the shape of my cake was right! The daughter of the bakery owner was very apologetic in regards to making the proper adjustments to the cake BUT when it was brought to the bakery owners attention she came out from the back with what appeared to be a male bodyguard behind her overseeing the entire convo. At that point i was extremely taken back and felt very frighten. i had been calm the entire time explaining to the clerk in a positive way that i was disappointed on how the cake turned out. I am a petite female that's 4"10 with XXXL NAILS for a second i thought i was going to get jumped for my remaining balance because why anyone possibly need protection?! She informed me in a very unprofessional and highly disrespectful manner that I would have to pay for ALL "additional" adjustments . When i nicely asked Ms. Hanoli if there was any way they could reconsider the extra charges being that THE CAKE WAS NOT DONE AS PER MY REQUEST in the first place she insisted that this is what i asked for (as if she took my order and knew what i said) and then continued to ask me in an impolite manner "why would i sign and leave a deposit on a cake that i didn't want" as if it was my fault they didn't meet the expectations of my request. More than anything else I am truly very disappointed on how the owner of this establishment resolves customer matters. Instead of making things right with her customers for such a special occasion i felt that $$$$$$ was more important than making a client happy. I tried the cake at my friends party and it was delicious! I would give that cake 5 stars. The bakery itself is beautiful with nice treats that you can stop in and pick up. Those were also yummy but, I could tell the cupcake wasn't that fresh. What was really disappointing to me is the cake ordering system. There is no menu or cake flavors available for them to show you so that you can make a selection. They also don't have just a basic birthday cake design. You know white frosting with flowers or something that says happy birthday. Nope. I had to pull up some simple ideas on my phone and was then instructed to text those pictures to a cell number for pricing. Very strange for a standard cake. Apparently the person who gives pricing wasn't there so fine. The texting communication was horrible. I received one word answers that didn't even answer my questions. Literally, one question per day was answered. I even decided to stop back in the store but this time the girl behind the counter was hesitant. She told me that they can make the cake I needed but specialize in large detailed occasion cakes. When I asked if they could make a figure or something to make it more detailed and worth their while, I was told that they only do that for larger cakes and I would have to find something and bring it in to them to put it on the smaller cake. What??? Made no sense to me. At that point I just felt they didn't want to make a simple 8-10 person cake and moved on. She didn't stop me from leaving but nicely told me to come back when I needed a larger cake. That didn't sit right with me. The large gaps in communication and the time I spent trying to order a simple cake persuaded me to go elsewhere. The theme was Fortnite the order was suppose to be ready at 12:30 I waited over an hour for them to give me the cake. It's a kids party that starts at 1. I asked to pick the cake up the day before when I placed the order 2 months prior the girl said their fondant and sugar work can stay in fridge over night. Never heard that before . I told her when I order the party starts at 1 pm sharp. I called the day before just to remind them they confirmed cake will be ready!!!! That was a lie.The owner comes out and try's to tell me the cake is coming etc. I finally get the cake and now we late to our own party because of them. The cake the way they designed it that the weight of the cake collapsed mind you I paid 400 for it to collapsed. The fondant work was so immature done not professional . The art pieces were horrible. I had seen their beautiful cakes on Instagram page which I haven following since their opening. I'm local so I was excited to give them a try for my daughter's 15th birthday. I messaged them on Instagram but got a message saying they weren't taking orders anymore that way. So, I went in and spoke to the owner told her I needed a small cake and showed her a picture of a naked cake with flowers on it. She said no problem it would be $90 for a cake that feeds 10-12 people. She asked me if I had a cake topper and I said I did. I told her I wanted the flowers as similar as the ones in the pic and she said no problem. As she wrote up receipt I asked her how much she wanted for a deposit. She said I had to pay in full because she had had issues with people picking up cake with no receipt and insisting they paid in full. I was a bit skeptical because she would have a copy of the receipt. However, I didn't have a problem paying in full. A week after I got a call from a young girl asking when I wanted the cake. I said it's on your copy bec it's on mine I don't understand why I'm being asked. Anyway I told her but decided to go in person and also hand them a printed picture of the cake. The owner had not asked me for a pic so how would she remember how I wanted it done. A young girl was there and I explained why I was there. She wrote the date and took my name. I reiterated date and asked her to staple the pic to my order. She said she would. So, yesterday I went to pick up the cake and she asked me to give her the flowers. I said they were supplying the flowers. The owner comes out and says my receipt said I was bringing flowers I asked her to point it out and the words were not legible. My mistake for not looking closely at my receipt. I tried explaining my difficulties with the above and she motioned to me to be quiet that she would place the flowers on the cake. I also asked her to look at the pic so they could see how I wanted flowers arranged. They couldn't find it. The young girl comes out with cake places it in a box without showing it to me. She asked me: did you pay for the cake in full? Why would she ask me if that was the policy. When I look at it only one side looks like a naked cake and the flowers don't look fresh. One is squashed and they look like they are wilting. I leave. When I cut the cake at home I realized that it's a tres leche filling instead of the vanilla I asked for!! Won't go there again. Was thinking that if I was pleased with service and cake I would order her sweet 16 cake next year. Not happening!!
