I will begin here, I recieved a notification on Yelp for a burger spot near to me. Of course, I did my research. Upon review I was sold. Today was the day, I stopped in for my visit. I didn't pick up any food (but I will, since I had dinner at home). I did pick up the horchata slushie. Believe me it was worth the wait. Freshly made hits the spot. My boyfriend loved his Oreo milkshake and my little sister raved about how good her "strawberry cheesecake" milkshake was. The presentation of both was so cute. My wife and I traveled from wicker park area to come here for dinner tonight after seeing countless friends post their wings from here. We decided to go with the Mexican wings (which is just what they call their buffalo wings), a chopped salad and their bbq burger. I had asked the friendly gentleman at the counter if there was something i absolutely had to try and he relentlessly said the bbq burger so I instantly took his recommendation. The chopped salad has a good amount of dressing on it, but not over bearing like other places do it where the vegetables end up turning soggy very quickly. The burger was delicious, not exactly cooked medium rare like they suggested, but delicious none the less. I loved the crispy fried onions. And the wings were for sure solid. They weren't too hot in temp which to me is cool because I enjoy eating my food right away. Without a doubt Hangry's is the best place to grab a quick bite in the Belmont Cragin community. They're an establishment that genuinely cares about putting out product they can be proud of. I think if they had a dish that they were truly "known" for Hangry's could definitely go to the next level and be a perfect spot for someone like Guy Fiery to come blow up. My wife brought home take out one day and we really liked the boneless buffalo with fries and the chicken and broccoli alfredo. Received a recommendation from Yelp to try out Hangry's. We were sitting around wondering what could we all eat together (3 adults, 2 children) & decided upon Hangry's due to location & selections available. I ordered the Angry Shrimp, Pasta Diabla & choose the side salad to complement it. The Angry Shrimp left quickly as everyone at the table decided when they heard the crunch they had to try them out as well. Great batter, fried perfectly, buffalo sauce was a nice addition to the flavor as well. The Pasta Diabla has plenty of shrimp included in it (a surprisingly large amount) I was a tad bit disappointed that the pasta was a little firm for my taste but this my friend was not a deterrent! I ended that bowl Mortal Kombat style ("Finish Him!") & used the bread to sop up the sauce remnants. The side salad was actually a small Caesar salad (my least favorite salad) but still enjoyable rounding out the meal. My 6yr old ordered the chicken nuggets & the cheese burger both came with fries both were available for $5 a piece! The nuggets were like a homemade chicken nugget, think small chunks of chicken battered & fried. He was even given enough to share! He complained only about there being "nothing on the burger" he's so used to getting lettuce, tomato, mustard etc. of course this was an easy fix. I could continue on here raving about the wings, burgers, & homemade onion rings that we also ordered at our table but this is becoming a little long winded. Also if you've read this far & you're still unsure...I'm not doing a good job anyway. Now these are wings. Big, crunchy, saucey and hot. This ain't a spot you frequent if you're worried about your six pack. But when you have a craving for "dem wangs," Hangry's got you. No little wing knock offs here. I tried the Korean and BBQ. Both fantastic. Fresh cut fries with a touch of salt. Perfect. And homemade ranch, yesssss! I will be returning again.
