The store rang all the paint up on the same bill and I received a rebate only for about half of what should have been credited. The rebate department told me that the items should have been rung separately instead of together which is consistent with what the rebate paperwork states. I was directed to the store to make my situation right. The first manager I spoke to insinuated that I was incorrect and told me that I would be called by the store manager the next day. I was not. Two days later I returned to the store and through customer service, was directed to speak to the store manager. I waited 45 minutes and left-clearly, he didn't have the good graces to answer me in person. I have been a long-time Lowe's customer. I do not like Home Depot and have spent well in excess of $100k at Lowe's in the last 25 years having rehabbed 2 historical homes in Dayton. I just purchased a 1859 farmhouse about 3 miles from this store and have planned for about $45,000 worth of materials for improvements. This store will receive none of it. On a positive note, I had 2 great experiences with Emily in customer service. She's a gem and I hope she leaves quickly because good people tend to get swept up and frustrated with toxicity when management is poor.

I guess they don't inspect carpet before they put it on the truck? We moved all the furniture, and were sleeping on the floor, didn't want to move it all again twice. I spoke with Adam the manager and he told me he would look into giving me a discount after the carpet was installed. The installers called and told me they couldn't get back to me until November 29th. I didn't want to sleep on the floor for another 11 days. We had been sleeping on the floor over a week at this point. I wanted to return the carpet, as I have family coming for the holiday and Adam told me he would have to charge a restocking fee? I told him I was unhappy and I wanted some kind of discount. He said he make a few calls and get back to me, then the installers called and could install the next day. Which is great but I've been sleeping on the floor for over a week. They came the next day and got it installed. Adam never got back to me. Below was an email I received from Menards.com telling me the store should've handled this. I did finally get my refund, but it was minus $162. I will never shop at Menards again. Lowe's and Home Depot have way better customer service and actually give you ALL of your money back on a return.
