With over 80,000 square feet of space and more than 350 unique vendors, Antiques Village is one of the largest antique malls in the region, located on Lyons Road in Centerville. My partner, his family, and I stopped by last Sunday at this very well-organized establishment. One can see the dedication of the vendors to bring in quality pieces and fair prices. Antiques seem to be plentiful in Ohio, so I went to several while I was visiting. This establishment seems to be a cross between and antique mall and a flea market. Several of the booths had "new/made in China" items that are no where near "antique" status. I did like that there was a lot of variety, including food & cold drinks at the cash register. I found some cool goodies to purchase at decent prices, so I can grouse too much about the non-antiques. Staff was very help with the jewelry case and I adored the "book mural". I would put this in my top 20 antique malls. read more

This was on my list and today with a chill in the air was the perfect day to spend roaming around checking out the collectibles and antiques. The store is huge. I loved that each booth was spaced out. Prices varied which was okay. There were some bargains that could be searched out. I was excited about the book corner but I ran out of steam! Next visit I will start at the book corner and work through the store backwards. I will definitely be back as there was a lot to take in. read more

When I walked in I was afraid that this wasn't a true antiques mall, there's a lot of craft food and some Hobby Lobby vibes in the entrance. However, it did not disappoint! It was so much bigger than it felt and we spent so much time treasure hunting. There really was something for antiques collectors, foodies, handmade items, etc. Lots of vintage glassware, toys, mirrors, etc. I don't recall seeing a lot of big furniture, but for everything else this is a great spot. Rude Rude Rude. I had 3 witnesses experience how I was treated and how they themselves were treated. Unfortunately, I will never step foot in this place again. And neither will they. How a business can treat people like this is incredible. What's amazing is her statement was "Get out of my store" and then stood at door and taunted me and my friends once in parking lot. Hubby and I enjoyed a trip to Antiques Village today. First the building is HUGE and has all types of booths from different vendors. Its great for all types of antiques - old toys, books, DVD's, all types of figurines and older items. There are also booths with handmade items and small businesses. We will enjoy coming back here many times again! read more

I am not sure what has happened or if the problem was always there and I just didn't pick up on it. Being a very regular customer I witness, hear, see, much of the interaction between the "management" and the individual vendors who set up and sell their items in their designated spot that they rent. I had gotten to know many of the staff and the vendors just from being in shopping. Which I stopped and no longer even enter the building.Instead I was making the drive to OHIO VALLEY ANTIQUES in WEST CHESTER! Loved it there before CoUntil the restrictions were applied to stores like theirs to close for the time being. I have worked retail many years and have extensive experience. Training associates for an entire market of stores. It's disheartening how horrible I heard an Asian manager mainly speak to certain vendors on the selling floor during their hours of operation to the public! The things she said would not have been appropriate said off of the selling floor! Horrible! Degrading! Rude! The vendor was an elderly woman who always had the coolest mix of inventory! I admired seeing her there and them having her I really thought that was a feather in their hat! She was very spunky for her age? After the last of multiple attacks on this elderly woman i could see that she was very upset. Her face was bright red and she looked as though she needed to sit down and catch her breath. Yet, the tears were coming and I could see she was trying her hardest to get out of the building. I could feel the negativity in the air like dead weight! I had seen ALL that I EVER WANTED TO SEE THERE!! This Asian Manager I had witnessed her doing similar rants to older vendors. Clearly,she prefers young hip vendors? Ignorant! A good mix is a mix that attracts multiple types of buyers. Guess she's doing something right? It is nauseating to me and has taken me a very long time to put what I witnessed too many times! If I were working for that Business...she would NOT last!! It's called, RESPECT! Things do come full circle...if they haven't already!! Lol Since reading the Businesses reply I felt it was important to add one more thing. You as owners/ Managers/ Asst Managers/ Managers in Training MUST NEVER FORGET...to treat your vendors well as you would a customer. I really think that is where the breakdown and and fracture that will hold you back from MUCH SUCCESS! Never treat someone as they are beneath you because you has a plastic name tag on that gives you a "title". We are living in different times, clearly. Where the customer is looking at the big picture...the blinders are off and yes, people talk and will walk!!! Not return and share, share, share!! their negative experience!!! BTW you need not reply, as I haven't and won't be returning!! I have nothing to gain to by sharing this. It's my hope that someone will read it and learn something from it! I absolutely adore this place! It's like a flea market but better because it's clean, open through the week, and they don't charge admission! I spent all day going through the booths and walking down memory lane. So many things that I remember from childhood and grandma's house! Everything is reasonably priced too. Terrific Antique mall located in Dayton,OH. Last time my family visited it we spent well over 3-4 hours here. They have so many different vendors. The staff is always nice and ready to help. This is the perfect place to spend 5 hours on a Sunday! There are so many shops, it literally takes all day to go through. You'll absolutely find something you must have, if not a cart full of things you must have. I know I always do. Depending on what you are looking for, this place might be exactly the spot! It can be overwhelming the first time coming but the quality of items is good and prices (at least for things I look at) are comparable or usually cheaper than other places like waynesville shops. Highly recommend going to the back right and through the more salvage area. Can't beat the prices. Awesome for home DIY decorating or remodeling. read more

OK, not to diss the sellers and the management. This comes down to personal taste: we went one day having heard about it through the Cincy Midcentury Modern Show, expecting secret finds. It's not as good as the Antiques Mall in Fairfield to be sure, so if you know what that's like, you know my frame of reference. Love this place! Most of the vendors are reasonably priced, and you can find new and interesting things everytime you visit.

Not really an antique mall. 90% of the merchandise was upcycled things / decorator pieces / artwork. Only 10% was actual old stuff. There is an architectural salvage area and a big used book area. Lots of clothing, but very few vintage pieces. Fair selection of jewelry and coins. I can see potential to have something neat show up from time to time. Prices vary from decent to expensive. It's great to find an old gem that reminds us of the past. Watch out for prices because some vendors think this is Macy's are charge full blown retail. The name of business implies that they sell vintage items but 1/3 of this stuff is less than 10 years old. Saw a vendor opening brand new boxes of Chinese junk that looks like it could be old if you were of poor eyesight. I wish Antiques Village would sell antiques. read more

I've been going here since they opened, and in the last month or two, I he quality of the booths has plummeted. There seems to be just as many crafts as "antiques", and the "antiques" are not great quality. Very disappointed. They should change the name to "Craft Village". read more

Very large storefront in a strip mall featuring some antiques and a good bit of "repurposed" furniture and art. Allow 2 or 3 hours if you want to see everything. The prices here are for the most part reasonable, and the staff are nice. Be sure to look on the web for possible coupon specials. One thing I really liked is that the aisles are WIDE and you can actually wheel a grocery-store-sized shopping cart down them (and they have such carts available for you to use). I also saw at least one disabled person able to ride a scooter down the aisles. Quite a difference from the usual super-overcrowded antique mall. However, as someone who goes to antique malls in different places a few times a year, I'm only giving three stars because the selection of items was not all that great and some of the booths were more flea-market or Goodwill-store than antiques-mall in my opinion. You will probably still find some cool stuff but you need to hunt for it, and there was a real shortage of certain items like 50s and 60s furniture and lamps and other retro/ mod stuff. Most of the booths just looked like an average grandma's not very interesting attic and a number of them were actually selling newish stuff. It was also a bit annoying that there were items sitting out front that were apparently spoken for but not paid and were mixed in with items that were for sale...couldn't tell what was available or not and one of the items that everybody including me was interested in was marked "sold" but also "not paid" which just made it all very confusing. If something is sold then do not put it next to available items. I still got some useful chairs and other stuff for my house for not very much money. Because of the location near other restaurants and stores, there is a ton of parking, and it's also possible to send your husband off to do something else while you shop if he's not into it :) read more

This place is WONDERFUL. I am not a huge antiques shop kind of person but it is probably one of the coolest places I've been to in a very long time. It is absolutely gigantic. And they have these little rooms set up (almost like Ikea) and if I'm not mistaken each 'room' is different person selling. They aren't present, and I think you can still haggle the price down. A wonderfully pleasant way to spend four to five hours browsing slowly and finding lots of treasures. There is a coffee bar and candy shop in the front near the check-out desks which is great for a pick-me-up. The place is large, but not as overwhelming as the antique shop in Springfield, OH, which I visited after. Everything seems priced well. Maybe you will find a bargain, but since the advent of smart phones, everything is priced accordingly and in competition with same on ebay. It's nice to see and touch the things you are buying though. I love shopping for miniature things I can use for my American Girl dolls, and these places provide lots of kitschy stuff that works, like primitive decor mini furniture, s&p shakers, handmade doll furniture, little tea sets, etc. I went during customer appreciation week where with a coupon, all your purchases are 20% off. We went on a two week road trip, 8 states, and a ton of antique stores along the way. This place was one of the best. It took 2 hours to get through and that was with us rushing at the end. Our shopping cart was packed with things and the prices with some vendors were actually really good. On top of that, this store is extremely organized (though some vendor's booths may not be). They have everything set up in aisles like a supermarket instead of rooms, so you know exactly where you've been and how to find something if you need to go back to it. It didn't really have too many options in terms of furniture, but old pieces like boxes, trunks, wood, small cabinets, radios, etc. It's all there. Absolutely worth going to at LEAST once. And if you haggle a little, you can get at least 10% off. read more
