Went for the plant pics shown on yelp, stayed for the cats. There is a medium-cool selection of antiques downstairs with plants upstairs--passable at best for having a store, to be honest. I will say, they had a nice selection of pink princess philodendrons and a really pretty, huge monstera. My favorite thing, by far, was the cats. I'm sure there are times when the vintage and antique selection is great but not today. I know this type of thing ebbs and flows, so normally I'm more generous in reviews, but service was also... odd. I don't expect the people working at a place like this to bend over backwards and follow me around asking questions, but the three people working were loudly talking shit about people they knew--also, wouldn't normally judge about this, but several times, I couldn't help but overhear them talking disparagingly about someone's gender (for example, "his girlfriend looks like a man"). Personally, I'm l not here for it. Would I go back, sure. If I was in the area for some reason. Would I go to Troy just to come here, nah, sorry. I would not.

Great, unusual finds! I bought 2 large stained glass windows there and hung them in our living room. They look wonderful!

This place has everything from Clothes (Vintage, and New.), Jewelry, Home Goods and Artwork. Mostly everything here is made locally or by smaller homemakers. There was a lot to look at, and there was a lot I wanted to buy. Really unique and awesome jewelry and clothing options. Lots of unique artwork all over the walls. Everything is of great quality. I bought a pair of awesome sunglasses that haven't left my face in 42 hours, regardless of it being cloudy and rainy since. I think that the prices are beyond fair. Not everything is expensive, but not everything is cheap either. Just a great variety. The woman who was working there/running the place was super cool. I loved the sweet dog that was walking around the store. It was overall a great visit here and I'll be coming back soon for sure. If you're walking around the Oregon district I would make this a priority to stop in and shop around.

Their selection is incredible, the pieces are in excellent shape, and the prices are relatively reasonable for vintage resale (especially for the quality of items). I am especially blown away by their dress selection. I bought a prom dress from here many years ago and would love to maybe find my wedding dress here someday! While vintage clothing can only be as size inclusive as clothing makers were in the past, Clash has a plus size section and is clearly invested in trying to include people of all sizes as potential customers, which is very refreshing. I took several of my friends with me after brunch, and one of my friends found a plus size dress that she LOVES and I was so happy. Clash does also have beautiful accessories, home items, bags, shoes, etc. and changing rooms so that you can try anything on before buying. If you haven't been to Clash, you have to add it to your list of Dayton spots to check out!

I got a 1955 (Jetson's era meets 1930s art deco) electric coffee maker in mint condition (with all the parts) for $35!!! Sure it wasn't cheap, but it was totally worth it! $22 seems to be the number of choice for most jewelry and accessories (which I found to be slightly overpriced). Great music played loud but didn't bother me one bit, in fact it added to my overall enjoyment and experience of the shop. Great selection of authentic broaches and jewelry. Limited bake-light and lucite items though the few they DO have are priced fairly. Best part is by far the antique household items. Large selection of records with Lou Reed having his own section! Dressing room is the restroom. Restroom is small, dingy, dirty but again, works with the vibe of the place so it didn't bother me. It felt kinda like a live art museum where you can pick things up in one place and then leave them in another. Everything was scattered around and mixed together so it made you really have to look and interact with the space. I had a fun time. It felt like an artist date!

First off, you will find a vast and constantly changing selection of antique and vintage home furnishings and decor- cabinets, hutches, shelves, accent tables, kitchen ware, a dizzying array of baskets in all shapes and sizes - which the the kind owners gather as they hunt estate sales, flea markets and the like. Most of these pieces are American made, all are handcrafted and one-of-a-kind. Some will have been lovingly restored by proprietor Damien - who also crafts new pieces and can do so to your specifications! We recently bought a house in the area and are slowly making it our very own. I'm in need of a short shelf/hook rack, which might easily be obtained as a cheap piece of crap from Walmart mass-produced in communist China - or I'll pay a few dollars more and have one handmade right here in Ohio. Take a guess which I've decided on. In addition to wood crafts, proprietress Shannon makes personalized T shirts, coffee mugs and koozies with a great selection of designs to choose from. Still don't see something that grabs you? No worries, bring your own design and she'll make it happen. They say you can't always get what you want but that doesn't seem to apply here! Something here for everyone and great gift ideas too. Any unscheduled closing (doesn't happen often) is posted on their facebook page, so if you're making a special trip might want to check that first- or call. My other tip is, if you see something that grabs you- grab it now! I highly recommend you get over to the Workshop.

I had traveled from out of town to pick up some unsold items on the last day of my contract. One dress in particular had a security sensor attached -- which signaled to me that they understood its value -- but when they removed the sensor, it sprayed ink all over the white fabric. Despite the damage, they offered me just $22 for the dress, which I later sold on Poshmark for $100 the same day I picked it up. When I voiced my concerns, I was encouraged to speak with someone at the front desk, but the response was dismissive -- simply stating it would be treated as a markdown sale. There was no accountability, and it was clear there would be no resolution. I didn't bother to fight the way they seemed happy to conduct business, as this was my first experience. It was a disappointing experience that showed a lack of care for consigned items at Second Chance. I've learned my lesson and will not be returning. I'd recommend sellers explore other platforms or shops that treat high-value pieces with more respect and offer fairer returns.
