They have really nice stuff, and some of it is hand made by one of the owners. It is really good quality, but out of my price range for what I am getting right not. Maybe one day I hope to have something custom made, and I will go here as one of my places to see if it can be done.

My girlfriend and I were locked in their store after hours because their Google listing said theyd be open till 5, instead of 4... We got there about 20 till 4 and did our rounds around the shop. We came upon the basement which was dark, I turned the light on to see what's for sale down there because I thought they were going to be open for another hour and we always visit the basement. While we were downstairs they shut off the rest of the lights and left, basment light was still on though. When we came upstairs and realized we were locked in we called them and also left a note with our contact info stating we'd like to come back and buy the items we found. When I talked to Tim the next day he was rude, asking why I thought I had the right to flip the light switch (big deal), instead of apologizing for not changing their hours and locking us in. 2 days later he calls again TWICE, when I call him back he tells me NO ONE saw us come in (we walked by him and at least 2 other employees) and that he was "dubious" as to why we were there, implying we were there to steal! What an INSULT! On top of that, he says we are to never ever come back to their business, all because we had bad info (their fault) and got locked in (their fault ). Later that night he goes one step further and sends me multiple VULGAR and INSULTING text messages, What's your problem Tim? Where's the owner in all of this? She's on vacation so she can't talk to me (in todays age of cell phones). she finally called me and almost seemed to feel bad but EVEN SHE seemed to imply I was in the wrong! She says she hasn't changed the Google listing because she's been toox busy, ITS THE FIRST THING THAT COMES UP WHEN YOUR BUSINESS IS LOOKED UP. Finally, 2 weeks later they changed their hours. Terri, you made a big mistake when you decided to let Tim handle this, I don't care if you were out of town, you should have been the one to talk to me. To summarize : We got locked in because they were too lazy to change their hours and to do their due diligence to make sure no one was in their store before they locked up. We tried to call them immediately, left our contact info and let ourselves out. We went above and beyond to make sure we did what we could to be clear as day that we were simply misinformed, and had no ill intentions. What we got in return was the absolute worst treatment we could ever imagine, down to being actually banned from a store we've spent hundreds at and visited for years. Things then took a VERY personal turn when the manager, Tim Morris, took it upon himself to harrass me via text messages insulting myself and my girlfriend. THIS CAN HAPPEN TO YOU TOO!

My husband and I walked in the the proprietor said the shop was closed. We walked out, not happy of course, and she followed us out and said she would be open next Thursday and we could come back then. We live in Cincinnati and I said we would not be back. I will never be back; apparently she does not care if she sells her high end primitives or not. She was not polite or welcoming. I am more that happy to spend my money elsewhere. This shop does not even deserve 1 star.

When my husband picked them up, he mentioned the light in our garage door opener wasn't lighting. Another specialty bulb. The bulb didn't appear to be burned out. The company that sold us the door open said a regular bulb would work, but it wouldn't last as long as the special bulb. That didn't work either, so we figured we'd have a $155 service call charge and possibly have to replace the whole thing. The Lamp Shop gave my husband a bulb and said that brand might work. And it did! We have purchased a could of antique lamps from them as well and they are gorgeous! We highly recommend them!

His auctions are first class, very well organized, and an absolute day of fun to go to. Even if you don't buy anything. They make the auctions enjoyable. Stichter advertises every auction as "A very fine" or "excellent" public auction, but sells mostly…read moremass-produced bric-a-brac like pyrex bowls, mold-made pottery, cross stitch samplers made to look antique, old fashioned furniture, etc. The staff makes it seem like they're doing the buyers a favor for just showing up on auction day. He also sometimes attributes items as things they are not. For instance, he sold a friend of mine a small vase Stichter said was jadite jade, but was actually resin plastic. When my friend took it to his jeweler for appraisal, the jeweler laughed and said it was worth, "About $3." My friend had paid $150. When he tried to return it to Stichter, he was told "as is where is" and his responsibility was to inspect all items before purchasing. Overall, this auctioneer is mostly hype. Oh, I forgot to mention that he favors his own workers when taking bids. I have seen him ignore other bidders when someone on his staff is bidding on an item.

Once I decided that it would be a Toro, I did a TON of research on retailers. All of the on-line places promise the lowest price, but they drop it off in a crate. YOU do final assembly and all of the adjustments. I was OK with this, as I am a fairly "handy" guy mechanically (I do all of my own work on my cars). A friend reccomended Troy-Tipp Lawncare. I checked them out & I was impressed by the policy that states, "If we are working on your mower & we can't get it done before the next time that you need to mow, we will deliver a FREE loaner." WOW... So I stopped by to see what they had to offer (I assumed that the price would be higher, but the SERVICE would be better). I was SHOCKED to learn that their prices were LOWER. WOW... I can not say enough about the service. The OWNER was there, he was INVOLVED and HE CARES! He made sure that everything was PERFECT before the mower was released to me... WOW... I have now had the mower for several months. I have gone back to them for advice & support and they have been AWESOME!

I asked why I was told 2 weeks and it is now going into 3 weeks. He said that the 2 weeks was the wait time when I called not when I brough it in. I replied I brought it in the same day that I called and was told 2 weeks. No response from him. I called the following Friday and was told it was getting near the top of the line and it would be next week. I am obviuosly getting more than a little irritated by now and asked him how he would feel if he was told it would take 2 weeks and now is taking 4 weeks. His reply was do you want to come get you mower today or wait until it is done next week. This company lies and makes excuses for there poor customer service. Not even an apology when I picked it up the next week. Obviously I will not be giving this company any more business and you shouldn't either!!!
