There was one hiccup as an item from my order was missing and I didn't realize it until I got home. Shame on me for not checking before I left the store. She recommended another brand that would be close to my original brand. I told her that solution wouldn't work as I will look at it for the next 25 years. I asked her why I should buy from Sherwin-William if there was no difference than buying from a Home Depot. She told me to leave and said if I didn't she would "call someone." I assumed she was going to call the police. Stephaine, her co-worker, just laughed. As I walked out, Shelby told me to call her supervisor. I trusted Sherwin-Williams to help me with my paint needs only to have a shed that needs a little more paint. I guess I have learned my lesson on the character of your company. Sad. The store rang all the paint up on the same bill and I received a rebate only for about half of what should have been credited. The rebate department told me that the items should have been rung separately instead of together which is consistent with what the rebate paperwork states. I was directed to the store to make my situation right. The first manager I spoke to insinuated that I was incorrect and told me that I would be called by the store manager the next day. I was not. Two days later I returned to the store and through customer service, was directed to speak to the store manager. I waited 45 minutes and left-clearly, he didn't have the good graces to answer me in person. I have been a long-time Lowe's customer. I do not like Home Depot and have spent well in excess of $100k at Lowe's in the last 25 years having rehabbed 2 historical homes in Dayton. I just purchased a 1859 farmhouse about 3 miles from this store and have planned for about $45,000 worth of materials for improvements. This store will receive none of it.
