I've only been a member for couple of months and I've been loving it! Now I want to visit all the locations nearby. My best friend lives minutes away from this location so it gave my fiancée and I an excuse to visit. I like this location better than the one in Mason. They seem to have more items. The employees are very helpful and friendly. Plus the parking is easier. We decided to eat lunch first before we shopped. 2 slices of pepperoni pizza, hotdog and drink for only $5.84? My gosh, that is dirt cheap and delicious. The aisles are categorized. The shelves are stocked and organized. I love shopping the refrigerated and frozen section. That's where we get in trouble. Also their wine selection is also solid. I love that each section has samples you can try. If I like it, I'll buy the product. We walked around and ended up spending more than we anticipated. I also applied for the Visa Costco credit card which has a lot of perks and cash back. I can now say that I've joined the Costco bandwagon. read more

Since we became members recently, my fiancee and I have been checking out different Costco locations to see the differences between locations. We've been told by friends who are longtime members that each location is a little different. Overall, this location was excellent as far as customer service. All the staff were very friendly and welcoming from the very start. The selection was of course massive and thet did have some different products that the location in Mason, OH didn't have and vice versa. My fiancee was looking for some wine options for a party we're having with friends later this month, and Amanda, one of their employees, helped her find exactly what she wanted as looking for and more. Of course, we left with more than we'd anticipated, but we got great deals on everything. No wonder so many people love Costco! read more

My husband is a great hubby but flowers are an area we disagree. He regularly uses costco to buy the flowers i assume because it's much cheaper. But you get what you pay for. They don't come in a vase they are jammed in a box. They had been smashed and exposed to the cold. It was supposed to be 50 they were 10 short. Some were broken. Some were long stem but others 5 inches shorter. We have family in the florist business and if u want quality order direct from local. OBEARS Is by far my favorite and after 29 yrs together hubby never ordered Obears always goes the cheap route on flowers. Even though I've told him Obears is the best. Should I just be grateful probably but miss getting Obears. Personally would not recommend them to order flowers. read more

There are so many great things at Costco and I don't have enough time to go into everything I'd recommend. I'm only giving 3 stars because even though Costco generally has a great return policy, I will never buy eyeglasses or batteries from them again. Went to Costco eye was charged for a service I wasn't told was optional and wasn't told there was a charge and I also wasn't given a pupillary distance so I can't order my glasses and have to go back or to somewhere else. Hesitant about going back... went home to order frames online because I had them already chosen but while looking at the Costco selection to see if I could save myself time almost all the frames were black. My issues are that very limited Handicapped parking and no end of isle general descriptor signs have discouraged me from visiting Costco. So far I like Costco but the problems are, I can't get into the store and on the rare occasion that I find a parking spot, I can't find products. I have limited mobility due to several back injuries and have limited strength to walk long distances. By the time I walk from a distant parking space say to the back of the store I'm about done. Also, once in the store there are no Isle signs even with general descriptions of what is in each isle. I get that the company wants customers to wonder the store so they can discover what is in each isle but I don't have that kind of endurance. These two issues have seriously curtailed my visits to the warehouse. read more

Heard horror stories about long lines outside in the rain, but it had been 6 weeks without replacing staples so I put on my big girl panties, mask and gloves and headed in on a Tuesday morning with a list. And I went right in without a pause. Know the layout well so straight to pharmacy for over the counter needs, then the aisles like a woman with a mission. Filled that cart with coffee, cleaning supplies (alas no Clorox Wipes) but everything on my list, meat, cheese, etc. Then straight to checkout with NO LINES!!!! $223 in 10 minutes and I headed down the highway. If you gotta go, midweek early is my best advice. Hoping for the same next month. Oh...dont expect to fill up on samples. None available and I liked not having to dodge those hoards of tasters craming that $hit in their mouths like they hadnt eaten in a week. read more

Management is awful here. Also don't order pizzas. Or if you do, you have to complain before they start your order. Was there 30 minutes and they didn't start the pizza until I complained. I politely asked three other times and got it's not ready yet. I finally said, "Did you lose my ticket when they called 5 numbers after mine." Then when I asked for a refund I had to go to a manager who had to get a manager and it took as long to get my refund to wait for the pizza we never got. ...last time, the cashier was throwing our stuff and the time before that in the self checkout line the cashier was scanning for me and got mad at me for scanning in the self checkout line... read more

This is a good one... I went to Costco yesterday to surprise my wife with a pair of Apple EarPods. But of course it's Costco, so I ended up looking around for a couple of other things as well. I ended up getting a couple things of water, some paper towels, a gallon of milk, and my wife's gift. I recently got a prescription but could never find the right time to pick out my glasses because it's always so busy. But on this day there was hardly anyone around and I lucked out and got a young lady named Tosha who was kick a$$. She was uper friendly, knowledgeable, and timely!! #BigFan When I got to the register my milk was leaking all over the place. They went and got another gallon of milk, but as I was leaving the building I noticed that one was leaking as well. I didn't have time to sit in a return line so I just threw that gallon of milk in the trash. I then left relatively frustrated and somehow managed to leave my wife's new gift in the cart after unloading everything else. When my wife called back up to the office to see if someone had turned them in a woman named Debbie went above and beyond to find out exactly what happened. To my surprise, Debbie called back later in the afternoon and said that the GM had approved her to give me a new pair of Apple EarPods and the gallon of milk I threw away. Initially, I was frustrated at the whole situation... But by the end of the day, I had become a huge raving fan of Costco... Thank you so very much for going above and beyond. We've had a Costco membership a few times. I went back in recently and was pleasantly surprised at the amount of vegan and allergen friendly items they had. I went first thing when they opened during the week so the crowds were not crazy, but don't go on a weekend because it's nuts. Prices were typical Costco prices. Gas just like Sam's Club is usually the cheapest around. The Costco travel benefits you get are really nice. There is tons of parking, but it's in a crazy, crowded, closed off shopping center. read more

I love Costco. My wife & I spent time and $$ there today. The plus: prices are good to great on most things...but not all. I.e. Scallops are cheaper elsewhere. All the Kirkland products we have tried are above the quality of the competitors products. The selection is broad, i.e. we bought our kitchen faucet at Costco. The cash back for executive members is super! It pays the dues back and then some. The Costco Visa also pays back for Costco purchases and any purchases. We bought our refrigerator on sale at Costco, no shipping, got cash back for a Costco purchase, got more cash back because we used the Costco Visa! They also offer 10% off for buying a case of wine! The people are very friendly, professional, expedient, helpful and courteous, it's clear they like their jobs. We just booked a trip to Italy through Costco! We get special extras because we're Executive members. And it was cheaper than anywhere else we could find. The negative; items come and go. We we're hooked on Kirkland cleaning wipes, not available today. Not even a spot for them. And the munchie tables (you know what I'm talking about here) have become fewer and less interesting. We have and will continue our trecks to Costco. It's worthy. read more

Okay, so I have realized what I'm dealing with Costco moving things around. Well I have to say I haven't seen a whole lot of that these days so it's become a lot more infrequent or they have stopped it altogether bc the items I shop for tend to be in the same place. I have noticed if you are willing to buy something in a larger quantity, that Amazon or Kroger or any other of the tons of local grocers can not compete with their price. I'm not talking about saving Pennie's, it's dollars and it's on food items that are not just meat items. I now make Costco my primary place to shop for food and miscellaneous items like bed sheets pillows and every once in a while a cool sports hoodie/shirt etc. read more

Costco has quality merchandise and you know what? If it's not quality, you can return it. They have a great return policy that makes me feel confident when making a purchase. I do find that the prices of items will be different online as compared to in store and this could go either way. The store is always clean and organized. I have been going to the Costco in Bellbrook since it opened. I have no complaints. They have been awesome. Staff is always kind, courteous and helpful and that is from the floor staff, cashiers and management. They offer a variety of Products at great prices. There was a time I purchased some ground beef from them that turned brown too quickly, I took it back without my receipt they said no problem and gave me my money back. This is a newer, and more upscale Costco. I find things here that I never see at other locations such as Northface and healthier food selections. It seems to be a very popular location, as it is busy at all times of day, but checkout is quick regardless. I am happy to admit that I am a Costco-fanatic! I have been going to Costco since I was in my mother's womb! Back then, Costco was known as Price Club! Anyways, I was so happy when Costco opened up in the Dayton area because there were many times when my husband and I would drive down to the Cincinnati locations just so we could buy their products in bulk. Call us crazy, but we just love Costco! We typically get our gas here since it is cheaper than going to BP or Shell. We also love browsing around the store because various Costco's carry different things from time to time. I really like going to this location because it's convenient and there's plenty of parking. I've come to terms with Costco. I'm not a huge fan, but between cheap gas and the occasional bulk purchase, it almost feels worth joining, so we'll stay, for now. This location is in a nice cluster of retail just off the highway. Pretty easy to get in and out of. Friendly staff. Came in looking for several things, left with two. Paper towels were on sale and were a good buy anyway, so we are set for the next few months. TP was on the list, but they only carry two brands, not the one we like, so we'll go somewhere else. One drawback at Costco is that if you want to try something new, you can't buy a small package. You have to buy a ton, and if you don't like it, oh well. I did get some granola; looked good, and reasonably healthy. Prices are good, obviously, but if you are an individual or small family you have to weigh that against the membership cost. For a big family it is definitely worth it. They have some nice clothes and electronics. read more

I had a very bad experience at Costco. I really like their grapes. I was shopping for a good find and had my mouth set on the taste of these delicious grapes. Well as I set my hand on the box I look up at an the associate who had just restocked the grapes had his finger in his nose "digging for gold" as it is said. I really regret leaving a bad review, because two of the four people I have had a direct encounter with were kind in their interactions. However, I have to follow the guidelines set by my morals. It is disconcerting for Costco, which follows strict guidelines on food safety (such as only allowing support animals approved by the ADA - dogs, and horses), to enable someone to expose ready-to-eat food to a one of their worker's (a human) mucous membranes. It was disgusting... And I really wanted those grapes. Also one of the ladies were very rude upon exit. read more

Costco is one of my big go-tos. I've found the items that are a particularly good price and make the trip worthwhile. Gas prices is just one! Some others include cage-free eggs, organic half-and-half, almond butter (with no added sugar or oils!), Kerrygold butter and cheese, avocados, bananas, berries, gum and Tums. Service has always been friendly and helpful. The only bummer is that they can run out of stuff, suddenly stop carrying a product or move a product to a completely new location. After numerous, frequent shopping trips to Dayton's only Costco, I've had to reassess my opinion of it. Unchanged in my opinion is its gas station, which still offers cheap gas, usually about a dime cheaper per gallon than anywhere else in town. Also unchanged is the fact that the store well maintained and kept surprisingly clean, even the bathrooms, despite the amount of business traffic it gets. Finally, service from all of the employees has continued to be fast, friendly, and helpful. What has changed, then? The inventory decisions made at this Costco are curious, in the least, but frequently maddening as some items (i.e. heart of palm and jars of Kirkland artichoke hearts in water) that were previously carried at the store disappear, seemingly never to return. Other items like Cento imported San Marzano tomatoes and Pacific brand organic, low-sodium chicken broth, for example, are available at other Costcos around the country, but have never been ordered for this store despite submitting multiple written requests with Costco stock numbers provided. If you're watching your sodium intake, the difference in milligrams of sodium between the "reduced-sodium" chicken broth that they do have in stock and the broth that we've tried to get ordered is staggering. Finally, the wine selection has gotten appreciably worse since the store opened and is easily the worst wine selection in terms of quality, variety, and quantity for a Costco in a metropolitan area the size of Dayton that I've ever seen. Heck, the wine selection at the Costco in Twin Falls, ID blows away this store. Even the selection of available Kirkland wines seems surprisingly much smaller here than any other store in the Costco chain. Maybe Ohio's ridiculous beer, wine, and liquor laws are the root cause of the problem since I know Daytonians like to drink good wine. Regardless, if I'm looking for a bottle of wine, I'm usually finding and buying it elsewhere. I love Costcos. However, this one is just average. Still, it's the only Costco game in town, so they'll continue to get my business. read more

I read they make most of their money on groceries, but I don't understand how this can be because grocery stores have much lower prices. The staff will tell you it's because the packages are do much bigger. HELLO!!?? Their bananas are around $.59 but just down the street they are $.23. I figure the price per pound and the size of the packages has nothing to do with it. Went to get gas but they take only Visa, which I do not have. Offered cash. No. Do not accept cash. He told me I could go into the store with my cash and buy a gift card and come back for gas. Forget that hassle. I just relocated back to Ohio from Atlanta and i'm disappointed in the limited selection in this store compared to the Metro Atlanta locations. About half of my go-to staples aren't available at the Centerville location. Frozen section is lacking, grapeseed oil isn't sold here which is one of my main reasons for being a Costco member. And you got rid of the onion machine in the food court? Who hurt you, Costco? The pros are the gas station, ease of parking and friendly staff. read more

Simply said...Costco is the best. It's Sam's on steroids with great customer service. Outside of Dot's, it's the best butcher shop in town. It's the best place to buy electronics. And it is by far the best place to buy has in town...it's top tier and ALWAYS by far the cheapest in the Dayton area. I have more than paid for my membership in gas savings alone. Plus there is so much more...best/cheapest pharmacy, great optical dept and photo lab. Seriously...try it out. You. Will. Totally. Dig it! I am so excited that Costco is finally here in Centerville! This is THE place to stock up on great deals. Costco is especially where I go to get gas in Centerville, since their prices are easily some of the cheapest in the area. Everything from fruits, vegetables, granola bars, peanut butter, meats, toilet paper, vitamins, etc. are also a remarkably good deal since they are sold in bulk. However, Costco is also a place where you can easily overspend, so just be careful! Their food court (pizzas, chicken bakes, churros) is also just simply delicious and SO reasonably priced. You can also easily fill up on their samples -- very numerous especially on the weekend, perhaps more now that they just opened and are trying to promote themselves. Just an FYI -- Costco sends out these coupon books in the mail each week. If you go shopping here on the day or day after those coupon books are released, it is pretty chaotic as people scramble to get the sale items. read more

I Shop here for Instacart and for myself personally, and as much as I love the selection and prices, the employees are SO SO rude and unhelpful. Everytime I go to the checkout there is at least one of the two bald men. One black and one white. Both incredibly rude and condescending, as if they feel some kind of weak sense of authority guiding people to checkout??? We will be canceling our households membership. I will not pay to shop here and be treated this way by middle aged bald men with an inferiority complex. read more

Love this place! They have great fresh salmon, the freshly prepared street taco kit is amazing, rotisserie chicken for only $4.99, which is way cheaper than walmart, kroger or other competing grocery stores. They also have huge pizzas that are pretty good for only $10. The only criticism i have is the check out lanes. Many times, especially on weekends, the lines can be long & disorganized because there are a few different access points and not a lot of space to line up unless you're in the 2 right hand lanes. read more

How have I gone so long in my life without ever experiencing Costco?? I've had a Sam's Club membership for the last couple of years, but when a friend offered to have me join her for her weekly haul to Costco I jumped at the chance. Picture me walking in with eyes twinkling like a kid at Disney World....this just felt like my place! Yes, they had a similar setup to Sam's as far as being a warehouse selling bulk items. However, there were numerous things that made Costco better: friendlier employees, cleaner store/better store layout, more organic food options including a fantastic produce section, and for me in particular a better selection of things I personally would want to stock my freezer and pantry with. Brace yourself for what I'm about to say...they sell Cheesecake Factory frozen cheesecake slices!!! Mind blown. Sorry, Sam's, time to upgrade to something better. read more

A person could die before they could get you an appointment. On my mother's 93rd birthday, we went to get her some hearing aids. After standing in line and getting a membership, we went to the hearing aid department where the only person there took our information. Now after almost an hour in the store, we are told it would be over two months before we could come in for the first appointment and then another two weeks before my mom finally picked them up. That's not what I expected from Costco. I spent another 15 minutes on the manager trying to help to no avail. I then requested a full refund of our $120 fee. They lost a customer for life. read more

Tire Center- Service is awesome! Bought four new tires in November. Ran over a nail yesterday, and brought it in today. Front counter guy wasn't sure if they could get us in, but Carl and guys in back took care of us. They examined our tire, looked it up, had a replacement in stock, got our car back, put on new tire, aired up spare and put it back on car. Then, to top it all off, they pulled up our car to to the front door when they were done. They got my business for life! read more

This place is AMAZING. Being a new member I was hesitant and did not know what all the hype was about. From the speed of checkout on the day before Thanksgiving when they took a line from the back of the store to out in 15 minutes to the customer service my husband received today on the floor.
