Visit any other store. I was trying to purchase a "Ryobi Days" Buy 1 Get 1 deal. The item would not discount at the register and after almost 30 minutes and 3-4 associates attempting to figure out why the discount wouldn't go through, "Mike" showed up. Keep in mind all of those associates individually confirmed the SKU #s of the items I was purchasing lined up with deal. Mike told me "it's an online only deal" and walked away. He offered to comp about half of the item that was supposed to be free. I left and found the deal in "store mode" on the Home Depot app and called Mike back over to show him that the deal is available in store as well. He told me to "take it up with corporate". He also told me to order online and wait for the order to process for 15 minutes. You'd think if I can stand in the store and order the deal online, he could use his mighty manager powers to honor the deal in store as well. He chose not to. Bad experience with delivery. Took a month to get initial delivery scheduled but they scheduled the wrong truck,taking an extra week .. Then the delivery person for the freight truck delivered to a terrible spot that blocked the walkway and refused to move it..just wouldn't bother with anything needs special delivery again. read more

I ordered carpet beginning of October. I was scheduled for installation November 11th. The installer informed me the carpet was defective and they needed to order more carpet. I guess they don't inspect carpet before they put it on the truck? We moved all the furniture, and were sleeping on the floor, didn't want to move it all again twice. I spoke with Adam the manager and he told me he would look into giving me a discount after the carpet was installed. The installers called and told me they couldn't get back to me until November 29th. I didn't want to sleep on the floor for another 11 days. We had been sleeping on the floor over a week at this point. I wanted to return the carpet, as I have family coming for the holiday and Adam told me he would have to charge a restocking fee? I told him I was unhappy and I wanted some kind of discount. He said he make a few calls and get back to me, then the installers called and could install the next day. Which is great but I've been sleeping on the floor for over a week. They came the next day and got it installed. Adam never got back to me. Most long term employees are friendly and mostly knowledgeable while some of the newer ones are indifferent to you and haven't gained the knowledge level yet to be truly helpful. This location doesn't have working air conditioning. When it's 85 degrees and the humidity level matches it outside a person expects air conditioning inside, not a ten degree increase in temperature. No wonder every 2x4 is warped. Why have 3 or 4 employees standing at the four self checkout registers but no employee checkouts open? Seems like a waste of manpower. It's been like this the last half dozen times I've entered the store. Customers should get a 10% discount for working to cash themselves out. Has to be the worst Home Depot store in regards to customer service I have ever seen. If you sell a product from a manufacture you are ultimately responsible when that product fails even though a third party is involved in the repair and return of that product you should be in the loop since you sell that product. My wife has been getting the runaround form your store for the past two almost three months over an $891.00 Kirch blind you sell which failed. Since it was still under warranty a third party came to remove it and send it off for repair. As of 6 December said blind still has not been installed even though the repair was completed well over a month and a half ago! The installer who removed it can not be contacted and the blind has been shipped to the wrong address 3 times and returned to the repair facility. Piss poor customer service! read more

I know that some people say that all these "box stores are the same" but I have to disagree somewhat. I have been in Home Depot stores that are neat and clean, well stocked, and with helpful staff. That is not so much the case here. Maybe I am focusing too much on one aspect but the garden center here could use some help. As an example, I have come here for mulch and garden supplies twice in the last few weeks. Several of the shelves were not restocked and a complete mess. Made me wonder whether the manager ever walks the store to see how little his employees care about keeping things up and how an employee could go home at the end of the shift with the store looking so bad. Clearly not a lot of pride here. I'll be looking to see if other stores in the area carry what I need. Such a disappointment. read more

Apparently, Home Depot only allows reviews of 'products', or glowing reviews of their employees on their site. My review was not about 'a product', and was not complimentary of the 2 employees who 'helped' me, so they refused to post it. I reviewed their 'guidelines' as suggested. They only allow reviews of 'products'. I also read through ALL of the reviews on their site. Many of them mention employees, even by name. ALL of the ones allowed gave glowing reports of the named employees. Mine wasn't as favorable, so I didn't name the employees, but it still was REJECTED. Following is their response: "Hello DougsRideHome, Your review is very important to us and The Home Depot community. We appreciate you taking time to submit a review about the #3854 Centerville. Unfortunately, your review did not meet our guidelines for posting on our site. I searched for what I wanted for a while, then found an employee and asked if he was familiar with plumbing. He assured me he was. I told him what I was looking for. He took me to brass fittings. I told him I didn't need or want brass. He got another employee to help him look for brass. When they couldn't find brass, they asked me if I would consider galvanized, because 'there aren't many PVC fittings with threads'. I stated again that I wanted to use PVC. When they stopped at galvanized, I went back to PVC and found something I could use. I should not have asked for help. They both wasted my time. My overall experience with Home Depot is extremely poor. I've ordered thousands of dollars worth of product through Home Depot, with the majority of purchases being appliances and have experienced issues with almost all orders. My first issue stemmed from a major appliance order for my kitchen. over 5g worth of product. Without getting into much detail, the delivery services was out of this world unprofessional and I would like to credit the Springfield, Oh location for bringing this to their attention and addressing the issue the very first call I made. They credited some of my purchase and apologized more than once for the service we were provided. The experience I had with them addressing the issues and making things as right as they could, are why my family and I tried giving Home Depot another chance. Within the past month, I have made my final purchase with Home Depot. My husband and I came into the Centerville, Oh store to purchase a stackable washer and dryer. The service we were provided was wonderful. The customer service representative assisted us and guided us through the whole process. She assured us that this experience would be better and that if there was any issues, not to hesitate to reach out. Upon delivery, the washing machine we received was incorrect. We had 48hours to call and address the issue- and so we did same day. we spoke to another customer service rep via the order center and they apologized for the inconvenience. He stated that the new and correct washing machine would be replaced the following week. that we could utilize the one delivered upon receiving the correct product. He worked with the manufacturer himself to make the correction. Upon the 2nd delivery- we received the in correct product, AGAIN. we were advised to call the same line- AGAIN. I spoke with a very friendly rep and she advised me to speak with the manufacturer to address the issues. I had no issues with this. After speaking with the manufacturer, they advised this was an issue on Home Depot's site. That the item was listed having specifications it indeed, does not. She approved the return and directed me BACK to Home Depot for them to the provide me the correct product. she advised there was NO price difference in the correct product vs one we received. she also provided the CORRECT item # of What Home Depot should have ordered. This is where my frustration grows- I'd like to think I'm a very patient person however, after playing phone tag for 2 hours, no one wanted to take accountability for me receiving the wrong product. instead- taking time out of my day to make endless calls to get no where. ALL I WANT IS WHAT I WAS TOLD I WAS ORDERING- By the customer rep at the ordering location as well as the Home Depot SITE. After multiple calls to the customer service line, I was directed to go through the store I purchased from. i did just that. I've spoken with an assistant manager, who advised I speak with someone else who handles situations like these. I was told today that my options are as followed- I can return the wrong washer received and have no working washing machine until they're able to POSSIBLY deliver the correct item. OR They can recharge my Home Depot credit card for a new (possibly correct) washer and I can be charged for 2 in total until the wrong washer is received back (after corrected delivery #3) , and then they will credit my account once they receive the incorrect one. DOES ANYONE ELSE SEE A PROBLEM WITH THIS???? I have received no accountability from Home Depot for the incorrect advertisement. No accountability for the wrong washer being ordered. AND to top it off, I can max out my credit card for the time being, while also creating issues with the promotional offer we used, OR be stuck without a washing machine. This sounds to me like Home Depot is putting this incorrect order back on their customer and making it a customer problem. I asked to please speak to the Manager of the store and was told he was on lunch and could return my call when he arrived back. NO call. I am at my absolute wits end with Home Depot and their handling of large purchases. I can't sincerely imagine that this is how corporate would want anyone to get treated and I'm incredibly disappointed that there hasn't been any steps made in order to make this right for their long term, invested customer. Over the past year of moving a couple times, this has been the go-to place for our house maintenance. My husband loves the military discount and the fact that he can find absolutely anything he's looking for. I like the friendly customer service because when I go in I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing. Also, we did have one return to make recently and it was handled with no problems. read more

Looking over the other reviews I would say this is a pretty good Home Depot. Unfortunately my experience was with the cabinet shop. We have been trying to remodel our kitchen since Jan. 7, this is the middle of Aug. Lost orders, one employ says one thing another says something else causing confusion and delays, cabinets ordered wrong multiple times, Employee trying to work from home due to a bad back and not knowing whats going on in the store and a manager who could not care less about the whole thing. Wilmington pike Home Depot has again proven to be worthless for any kind of special order item. Let me start by saying I've been a contractor for over 30 years. I've watched how the big box stores have pushed local lumber yards out of business leaving us with no where to go but them. I ordered a entry door for my customer over a month ago. The talented millworker department couldn't figure out how to operate their own software to place the order. After spending an hour placing the order I questioned whether or not they had the door swinging the correct was. I was assured that it was correct. 2 weeks later the door was delivered by a third party service. Guess what, the door was backwards. I told them to keep it on the truck and called the store. Long story short it was recorded but this time it would be right. I received an email stating the door would arrive on the 31st. It's now the 8 th. It's been in the store since the 31st but nobody seems to have the responsibility to contact me to deliver the door. I had to call to initiate the search party to find it. They would call me back. No call. I call they. Oh yea we have it but they can't figure out how to setup delivery. They'll call me back. No call. I call and ask for management. Manager says he will take care of it and set up delivery for Friday morning. It's Friday noon. No door. I call looking for my door. They don't know what's happening and the manager will call me back. No call. I call asking for manager. They give me a different manager who tells me oh yea I'll be there tomorrow morning. The problem is this is the only thing I can do. There is nowhere else to go. Said they weren't letting anyone else in for the night because they were at maximum capacity, even though I saw three people leave the exit door within the next minute. Beware if you purchase appliances from here if you need them delivered and/or installed. They use another company for this and have no control over the delivery/installation. We've been to this location several times and we came this weekend to purchase some items from the garden center. First off, there were about 7 people at the garden center checkout and only one register open. I didn't even see another employee in the garden center to call for backup or offer to help the poor cashier. We knew our items would not fit in our car so our plan was to rent one of the pickup trucks to take our items home. I was told there was a waitlist for the trucks and I would be the second person on the waitlist. The clerk told me he would call me once the truck was available. Since it was a very busy Sunday we were not surprised by the waitlist and went to wait in our own car for the call. When we were waiting we noticed one of the rental pickups was sitting in the lot for almost 30 minutes. After 30 minutes we noticed a family drive it away. After another 15 minutes of waiting the second pickup truck was returned. We waited another 15 minutes, but still received no call. At this point we were so frustrated that we found an alternative method to get our items home. I put my name on the waitlist around 2 p.m. and never received a call from Home Depot. The fact that I never received a call implies to me that either employees were not checking the waitlist before renting the trucks out to other customers or I was never actually put on a waitlist. Had I known I would not receive a call I wouldn't have spent over an hour waiting in the store's parking lot. Thinking back, every time we've gone to this Home Depot we've never had a great experience, whether that be from poor selection of items or poor customer service. The only reason we came to Home Depot this weekend is we had a gift card someone gave us as a gift. We will not be back. read more

This is a hard review to rate because on one end the service was amazing, on the other it was terrible. I'll start out with the good. Came here to buy granite counters for my new home and was lucky enough to meet with Jim. One of the friendliest, knowledgeable, helpful people I've met. If it weren't for Jim, I wouldn't have come back after dealing with the next person. Came in last weekend after closing and getting measurements for our counters. After Jim printed everything up and put it in a neat package to make it as easy for us and the cashier as possible, I get in line with Fran. She was rude, short, and yelled at my girlfriend and I because of the 10% coupon Jim gave us was the wrong one and not starting for 2 more days. She made zero effort to try to see if it would work, or find some sort of workaround or another coupon. She looked at it and rudely said it wasn't any good. I went back to ask Jim about it and he came up to try to talk to Fran but she wasn't hearing it. Not from him or from us the customers. I was so tempted to walk out right then and there and spend my $4000 elsewhere but came back 2 days later when Jim was once again waiting for us with all new paperwork and he hand walked it up to the cashier to make sure we got someone who would help us. read more

WISH I COULD GIVE NEGATIVE STARS. I tried to make a return because the product I received was damaged, and so far I've had to go back twice because of problems with the return and reorder process. The same worker "helped" me both times, and on both occasions she took off her mask while helping me for an extended period of time. I felt unsafe and disrespected. There was also another worker restocking who wasn't wearing a mask. Yet another worker by the paint counter took off his mask, too. If you're keeping track of the count, that's three specific cases of workers within just my eyesight of the return counter that weren't wearing masks. Numerous other workers at checkout and customers walking the aisles weren't wearing masks properly or at all. Obviously the management is poor, or else more workers would be wearing masks at all times and ask shoppers to leave or put on a mask when seeing them without one. Not to mention, upon my second visit for the return and reorder situation, the worker who helped me tried to give me a product that wasn't correctly packaged, and appeared to be the same as the one I returned (the dents in the box where the same). Steps should be taken for the location to be safe, respectful of its customers, and efficient with the return and reorder process. read more

I worked at the Centerville (or as we employees called it, the Center of the Universe Vile) location the for last 4.5 years. My former coworkers there (at least the core team that have been there more than a year) are dedicated to customer service. However, what you must understand, is that the average wage there is 12.00 an hour. So take that for what it is. You like the low prices? Well, guess what, that is reflected in low wages. And, when you say, "I'm going to Lowes!" and an employee responds, "Have a nice day!" what they really mean is: "Good, let them deal with your entitlement and outrageous demands. I don't get paid enough to deal with people like you." Yes, mistakes are made. Yes, deliveries get messed up. Yes, the wrong product may be ordered. This is not the end of the universe. No one died. My experience is that the management at this store is willing to work with any sane, rational customer to resolve any issue. And the rest, well maybe you would be better off at Lowes. Never do business with this store or Home depot, PERIOD. My wife and I purchased a dish washer from this store. The store management is/was unprofessional and I wish the entire Home Depot corporation will take the blame for this mishap, and end up insolvent. The guys who shipped the new dish washer and was supposed to haul away the old dishwasher left a mess of water on our hardwood kitchen floor without cleaning it up, damaged a chandelier on their way while bringing the new dish washer and cost us damages amounting to over $10,000. My complaints to the local store and the Home Depot corporate office in Atlanta fell on deaf years. Finally we ended up taking them to court. The matter took us more than an year for us to get judgement in our favor for the damages and we ended up pocketing all the legal fees. NEVER EVER do business with HOME DEPOT. They're atrocious. Shame on them. No wonder corporate America is in such a mess. read more
