They always have a decent selection and items in stock. I like that there is a separate entrance/exit and checkout just for the garden center if you wish. Menards is my favorite home improvement store. The prices and service can't be beat. A lot of their deals are combined with mail in rebates, which I don't mind because there is always something else I need to come back and buy! Turn around time on the rebates is fairly quick.

Below was an email I received from Menards.com telling me the store should've handled this. I did finally get my refund, but it was minus $162. I will never shop at Menards again. Lowe's and Home Depot have way better customer service and actually give you ALL of your money back on a return.

I am constantly amazed that they actually have what I need; that staff knows where it is and that I don't have to walk a mile & still search for it. Even better, the person who will walk you to the item you need is the 1st person you see when you walk in the door. There is a good reason why this last neighborhood owned hardware store still in business. Yes, prices are usually a tad higher than big box stores. In my view, more than worth it. I always walk here first. Rarely do I have to drive somewhere else. If you factor in the cost to drive to big box store, Greive is actually much cheaper.

Today I went to fill one of my tanks. They had about three tanks getting filled. The process is that the tank gets picked up at the front of the store and taken to the back behind the building and filled at the bulk propane tank. You then pick up your tank after paying. I had a relatively new tank (less than a year) with only three fills. One of the other people getting a tank filled walked off with mine. I complained because of how new my tank was and the tank that was left was older and worn. Store management replaced the tank at no expense to me. They need to improve their process, but they did good by me.

He tells me to wait "four seconds"as he takes the water to her car. Strike 2 Why couldn't that lady wait until he helped me? Clearly as a black woman in a predominantly white neighborhood it was very evident my time was not as important or important at all as this white woman's. I wait then a considerable amount of time until FINALLY other employees show up out the blue. I ask one of them if they can help me and he apprehensively with raised eyebrows goes "Okkkkayy, what do you need". Strike 3 The micro racial aggression is palpable at this point. Like no mention of an apology of the very clear fact there is no one around, I need help, and no ask if I had been waiting a while. Which I have but the cashier thought helping other people was more of a priority than helping me. On top of that the second item I needed was simply a power screwdriver which they don't have in stock. What kind of hardware store doesn't have that... Overall a terrible experience. Not going back. Lowe's "proof of delivery" was simply a photograph of the paint sitting inside someone else's vehicle; not at my house, not on my property, and certainly not in my possession. I immediately contacted Lowe's customer service and was told the issue would be forwarded to the store. I subsequently received two calls from a gentleman named Al. Since then, I have repeatedly called the Miamisburg store, asked to speak with Al, and left messages requesting a return call. Those calls were never returned. On Thursday, August 20, I made several more calls and ultimately went to the store in person in an attempt to get this resolved. I still left without a resolution. On Saturday, August 22, I spent 18 minutes on another call with the store, only to be told I would need to wait yet another 24 hours for someone to address the problem. This morning, August 23, a gentleman named Aaron left me a voicemail. I attempted to return his call repeatedly. My documented call history shows calls lasting 5 minutes, 7 minutes, and 11 minutes, followed by yet another call. Despite spending all that time trying to reach someone, I still could not get Aaron or apparently anyone willing to take responsibility on the phone. At this point, I have called this store more times than any customer should ever have to, visited it in person, left multiple messages, and wasted hours trying to resolve a problem Lowe's created. They took my money, failed to deliver my paint, provided a completely unacceptable "proof of delivery," and then made themselves virtually unreachable. Their failure also cost me additional money. I had a contractor scheduled to install wallpaper and complete related work, but he could not proceed because the painting had not been completed. I was charged a fee for his wasted trip; all because Lowe's failed to deliver the paint I had already purchased. Do not use the Miamisburg Lowe's for home-delivery orders. The lack of communication, accountability, and basic customer service is appalling. Apparently, taking a customer's money is easy; delivering the merchandise or returning a phone call is considerably more difficult. I expect an immediate resolution for the undelivered paint and a response regarding the contractor fee I incurred as a direct result of Lowe's failure. This has been one of the most unacceptable retail experiences I have ever encountered.

My partner, his family, and I stopped by last Sunday at this very well-organized establishment. One can see the dedication of the vendors to bring in quality pieces and fair prices. Easily the biggest antique shop some of us have been to yet, which we can recommend.
