Joe responded almost instantly (on a Sunday morning no less) to my request to have someone come shave a bit off of my doors so that they would fit back into their frame. He was communicative (which is HUGE in my book) in terms of when he'd be arriving, and he arrived at that time (I've been jerked around so many times by home repair folks where I adjust my schedule to be available and then they show up four hours later, etc.). Joe showed up super quickly, nailed the job, and was friendly the entire time. He even did a little bonus tweaking on a kitchen cabinet. I will definitely be calling him again. Thanks Joe! read more

Joe and his colleague were great. They moved all of our heavy furniture into our new home. They took great care when moving the items. He was very responsive and the most affordable person available (and was available on short notice). I will definitely be hiring him for other projects in the future! read more

I needed some painting done in our guest house, specifically the door, door frame and wall. The funny thing is that he wasn't happy with a hair line crack in the door frame that I could hardly see. Because it was a little late in the afternoon and very cold, he said he wanted to come back to fix it. Had he not pointed it out, I would not have noticed it. He came back as promised 2 days later! He also re-adjusted the metal plate which was causing the door to stick a little. So, so happy with Joe. Thank you. read more

He came out when no one would, on a Sunday over 4th of July. We appreciated it a lot. Friendly and has the tools to help.

I had some water leaking through one of my windows with heavy rain, so I had Joe fix the caulking. He gave me a reasonable quote via text minutes after I described the issue and provided a couple of pictures of the window. I needed the caulking to be black to match the window frame and the existing caulking. Joe didn't have that color as it's not very common, so he bought some the same day, came in the next day, and did a great job from what I can tell visually. Next time there's heavy rain I'll be able to confirm, but I think the caulking is going to hold. He asked me to let him know if there are any issues in the future, which I appreciated. I also liked the ability to pay via Zelle. He was responsive, communicative, and professional throughout the whole process. I certainly recommend Joe and will likely call him again for other jobs in the future. read more

He came over 4 minutes after I called him, looked over all the things I needed, obviously knew how to do them, gave me a fair price, and then I decided to have him come a different time, when my partner would be here. He was extremely kind and generous, considering I haven't used him right away. But I will! read more

Joe came over to redo my window caulking. This recent rainstorm caused a lot of leaks from top of my window frames. He did two windows for me and it was the best price I found on yelp. When he removed the old caulking it chipped away some of the paint but I understand that was somewhat expected. I liked Joe's friendly personality and attitude, and would hire him again. Only thing is I don't know how well of a job he did because only the next rainstorm will tell. He used crystal clear caulking so it's really hard to tell with the naked eye where the recaulking exists. He said if it leaks he would come back and fix it but I hope it doesn't come to that! read more

We had Joe paint two of our bedrooms. Wallpaper removal in one room proved to be very difficult. Joe persisted and got it completely removed. His prep work on the walls and wood trim was quite good. We were very pleased with the painting and will seek Joe to perform other work for us. read more

100 stars for Joe. We have a home that's nearly 100 years old that needed to be repainted and refreshed. He took his time to patch all the damage and the holes, and really tried his best to make everything look perfect. There was definitely some challenging areas of the house, but Joe was on top of it. He sent pictures throughout to show what was going on and he did a superb job. He was very transparent about his pricing. I was an excellent value. Everything we needed to be done- He accomplished. Will definitely use again for more work. Thank you so much! read more

Communication was prompt and pricing was competitive. Joe arrived on time and brought an electrician to help out with my electrical needs. Will use in the future! read more

HandyJoe - Bathroom shower - Handyman Near Me

Randomly found Joe on Yelp. He was responsive, gave me what I believed to be a fair and reasonable estimate for the tasks (hanging stuff up on walls, etc) and was able to accommodate my schedule. He arrived fully prepared for just about any handyman-type task. He did not balk when I asked him to check on/fix a few extra items I hadn't previously asked about. He was friendly and efficient, while still taking the time to carefully measure and install and to ask me for my input/preferences. He didn't try to "upsell" me on other tasks and he charged me what I expected to pay. Good experience overall. Glad to have met Joe and we will definitely call him next time we have a project! read more

Joe came out as planned, our project was to install new tracks on a old 5 drawer dresser, well made dresser but worn, broken tracks for the drawers. Joe got into the job right away, got the old beat down tracks out and installed the new ones with the ease of a pro! We will definitely call him when we need his services and recommend him to anyone that needs a skilled hand around the house. His price was reasonable and we tipped him because his work was great and done quickly. read more

My man Joe saved me when he helped me move a few large heavy items down 3 flights of stairs. I couldn't help but feel bad to put him and his help through that but they got it done easy (maybe easy isn't the right word but they got it done efficiently lol). Two strong dudes came and killed it within an hour. Fair price for what they did for me. I'd definitely recommend to anyone in need of movers. Thanks again guys! read more

Joe, repaired one of our bedroom doors. Great wok, done quickly, respectful of our space, and at a fair price.

Honest, knowledgeable and efficient. Joe and his colleague were able to replace a microwave oven and install a new one for me in minimal time. Arrived on time and got the installation done very quickly. They do not over-promise, and the price was fair. I would like to use them again read more

We had a door that was hitting the door frame due to a bent hinge. I called Joe and he answered the phone immediately even though he was working on another job. He came later that afternoon and replaced the problem hinge as well as removed a couple of stripped screws. Great communication and his repair was very fast and efficient. Highly recommended and I will use his service for future repairs. read more

The Den needed a good paint job, and Joe was prompt and reliable. The client was satisfied, thank you Joe!

Joe was the best and extremely professional. I would recommend him for anyone looking for a quality painter.

I would like to thank Joe again for the job well done. I found Joe to be professional and responsive. The job which should have been relatively easy was made more difficult due to the availability of the part. Joe was not deterred and was steadfast in acquiring the proper part. Once the right part came in he returned and in a matter of minutes the closet door was working like new. read more

An old gate wasn't shutting anymore, and I have a new dog, plus contractors showing up unannounced due to construction at my home. I don't want strangers interacting with my pit bull in the yard when I'm not home. Joe came by with short notice, fixed the gate, which required a run to Home Depot, and even suggested a latch with a lock in it that was cheaper and better than what I had considered. Thanks Joe and Otto! read more

I met Joe today when he came to assemble two quirky pieces of furniture. He was very responsive, arrived on time and ready to go. HandyJoe responded to my email on Sunday night, almost immediately after I sent it. A door in my house had become dislodged from the braces and the door frame, and I needed it repaired quickly. HandyJoe said he could come by the next morning, meaning today, Monday. HandyJoe showed up at 9 this morning, and fixed my stepdaughter's bedroom door in about 20 minutes. He did a great job, and charged me a very reasonable rate. I cannot remember getting such great service from a handyman. Thank you, Joe. read more

Joe did incredible work on my front exterior patch and paint project. The paint and plaster was peeling very badly at all the corners and edges along the entire front of the home around the entranceway and 3 large floor to ceiling front-facing windows. It was a difficult project, but Joe took his time and worked incredibly hard to make sure it turned out well, and he made excellent choices with the materials he used. I appreciated how diligent, honest and fair he was throughout the 2 full days he worked here. Outstanding work, Joe, thank you for making my home beautiful. I have a number of other projects I know I will be calling on you for in the future. read more

I had a few areas around my home in need of attention - painting of a concrete walkway and external door, cleanup and staining of a large teak table, stucco patching and paint touch up of some exterior walls. Joe took these all on and I couldn't be happier with the results. He is knowledgeable, communicative, and looks to save money where possible. The teak table was an especially tough job, having wax embedded in it from a melted candle. Joe made a notable extra effort in sanding it down to restore it. I'm very happy with his work and happy to recommend him to others. read more
