HanaPa'a 2 what a truly amazing experience from start to finish. We came with some friends and I didn't know what I wanted to order and the man working was super friendly and helpful giving all the options and telling me if we wanted to mix and match they would make it happen in the kitchen. I ended up doing a Kanuka which is the kalua pork, Lomi tomatoes, and two choices of poke and some poi. I went with ahi with spicy mayo and tako with the recommended garlic chili crunch. All were fantastic just look at those photos! The poke was super fresh and delicious, kalua pork melts in your mouth with a great smoky flavor. Our friends got a myriad of other things poke nahchos, and the garlic chicken. Kulolo crunch dessert was amazing and highly recommend, the cookie underneath tied together the coconut and poi so well! Very clean place. Super affordable for the amount of food definitely could make 2 meals out of everything! Please go out and support this place should've been packed. Last and best meal we had on Oahu! Sad we found it at the end of our trip! Will be back!!

Absolutely solid food. We got a bento and chicken katsu. The katsu was perfect - crunchy and crisp, juicy inside, perfectly seasoned. The bento has kahlua pig, some kind of fried chicken, and a little crusted ahi steak. All three were amazing. As we were finishing, they brought us each out a free haupia, which was also awesome. We stopped here out of convenience because we were hungry and in the area, but we'll go out of our way to get back here again. If you haven't been yet, you're missing out. Had a poke bowl with sushi rice, spicy ahi and garlic shoyu ahi. The rice was lightly flavored, not overpowering, fish was fresh and the bowl is made when ordered. It comes with delicious crunchy daikon that must be made in house. The guy who helped us explained the menu and how to order poke bowl. We sat down and eat but couldn't finish so we took the leftovers overs home and that was dinner. The tables are clean and the room is bright. Just as good as their original Hawaii Kai location. We love that the poke bowls are fresh and the flavors are solid. My husband usually gets the Hawaiian and sweet ginger shoyu, and I get the spicy mayo ahi and something with salmon. This time, for the salmon, I tried the garlic chili crunch and WOW, it's bomb. I will definitely put this flavor on my rotation for Hanapa'a. It's perfectly sweet but not too sweet with that garlic crunch for texture and flavor. DELICIOUS. I really love that their poke bowls come with 2 standard sides (takuan and wakame cucumber) because they are reliable and no-frills yummy. Provides the balance this bowl needs with acidity and crunch. Another great thing about Hanapa'a's ordering is you can basically order whatever protein you want and pick the sauce, too. That way, you can get ahi, salmon, tofu, shrimp, wateva you want, with the flavor you want, too! Very customizable! You can choose your poke bowl with one or two choices, too. This time, my husband went to pick up our online order (another plus, because it's a very easy, convenient ordering system) he grabbed their smoked ahi artichoke dip (he's a sucker for smoke fish dips) and it didn't disappoint, so I would also recommend this dip. Saw this place on this morning news KHON TV 2, food to go story. So after my pick up at target I told hubby let's try this place. Located by Rainbow drive inn in kapahulu. Same bldg where the shave ice place located. I ordered the salmon poke bowl with sushi rice. My hubby brought spicy ahi poke and limu ahi poke 1/2 a pound ahi and 1/4 pound spicy. Bought also their kamaboko dip. Surprised they gave a whole sleeve of Ritz crackers. My powl bowl was good the salmon freshly diced into chunks and they had cucumber namasu and daikon. Their poke is fresh and good. It's made to order except the cold items in their showcase. Made fresh daily. They had their grand opening over the weekend. Server was very friendly and explained well on how to order your bowls if you go that way if not you can order the regular way by the pound or less. Will be back to try something else. food was really good, yummy, delicious, would definitely come back here for the exact same dish my friend got the other dish but i forgot what it's calledshe liked it but we came to a conclusion that the spicy ahi nachos was the best and she'd get it next time we go again. we definitely recommend and plan to return to this location. the service was great too. the person who took our order was very nice and patient. because this was our first time trying out this place, we were staring at the menu for quite a bit he was very patient with us; telling us to take our time and if we have any questions, he'd answer clear with no attitude; very helpful. after we finished eating, we boxed our leftovers cos it was plenty! they're so generous with the amount they serve they're so nice to even give us a bag to carry our leftovers which is rare to get a free bag to carry nowadays so i'm always grateful if any place offers a bag without a price:) i guess because the time we came to eat here was late afternoon so it wasn't as busy but i'm sure they're popping off during lunch hours. there was another table next to us eating shaved ice. maybe if the tables were to be more cleaner and clean them after someone uses it so the next people that come to eat and eat in comfort that would the only issue but other than that, loved the food; would definitely come back read more

I was visiting from California with my girlfriend and met a really cool local, Malu, who took us here for lunch. It may be one of the best meals we've ever eaten in our lives! I had the Ahi Fever and I will never forget it. The owner knows his stuff and holy cow is he amazing. When the food arrived, he told us about all the elements of the meal in detail and it was absolutely delicious. If I ever make it back to Oahu, I'm going to go straight to HanaPa'a 2.
