I got a mini poke bowl with sushi rice. Perfect size. The Hawaiian poke and spicy ahi was great. The poke is fresh and the toppings make the bowl different from other places. In Manoa near the Safeway, right next to Starbucks. Great service, very helpful staff. Outside seating/table right outside the ordering area.

Came here after doing the Manoa Falls hike on a Wednesday during lunch. There were 5 people ahead of me but the line went super fast. Plenty of parking across the street and the tables outside rotate quick since people are just popping in and out, so there's not really an ambience. My wife and I ordered the regular bowl with white rice, spicy ahi, and Kilauea fire. The spicy ahi was the star of the show. We had extra rice leftover so I ordered an extra quarter pound of regular shoyu ahi and it blew everything out of the water. Don't sleep on this spot.

This place is different in the sense that it's not a walk-in, sit-down type of establishment and that's the reason why you'll find a line of people waiting to order. There are a couple small tables and chairs that you can snag if you're lucky. My friend and I went here on a Wednesday afternoon and there was maybe 5 parties ahead of us in line already. You kind of have to order fast but they prepare the poke quickly and the workers are nice and friendly. I got a half-pound of poke with no rice. I got the spicy tuna and they cut the tuna thick and chunky - not bad - just different. The flavor is good and the fish is indeed fresh! We parked across the street and walked over. It's not in the hustle of bustle of Waikiki so the environment isn't loud or busy. My coworker recommended this place and I'm glad I checked it out!

Hawaiian style ahi with salad and all toppings = refreshing, savory, satisfying, would 100% get again

Lives up to the hype for sure, though very pricey for the portion. I got a mini bowl with Hawaiian style poke and salad for $19 total. However, the flavors were balanced, and the freshness was evident from the non-slimy texture and meatiness of the ahi. The salad was a refreshing complement to the poke. The optional toppings (I said yes to all) added more crunch and flavor without overwhelming the star of the dish, aka the lovely tuna. The shop front looks tiny. You order at the door/window where you can see the menu and the display case of the very few poke options offered. Staff worked quickly, as my order was basically ready after paying. Only outdoor seating directly in front of the shop was provided, but luckily we beat the lunch rush and got two tables for our group. Everyone enjoyed what they ordered. I'd definitely come back for the poke. Location was in a quiet part of Honolulu that seemed to have some small-town vibes. We parked in the free lot across the street where the McD's was.

The poke was soooo fresh. I got the spicy ahi, and the ahi was so soft and didn't taste fishy at all. I also liked how the rice wasn't steaming hot compared to other places, so the fish wasn't getting warmed up. I do wish the spicy ahi was spicier though. Good amount of parking across the street, but limited tables in front to eat at.

Came back a second time to get their regular bowl. Wanted more of their Cold Ginger Ahi and the Wasabi Furikaki which were our favorites from the sampler. Quick counter service as before. No line during weekday lunch 11:00 or so. They have the various rice options prepacked and ready to go. You then pick one or two pole and then free topping options. Dang this poke is so good. A few tables out front to eat at. Will come back next time we visit Oahu.

After all these years, Off the Hook is easily still my (and the kid's) favorite spot for fresh poke on O'ahu. Quality hasn't changed. All flavors of ahi poke are excellent and delicious. My go-to is usually spicy ahi but today I got the ginger and Japan deluxe. We arrived at 11:20-ish on a Friday and there was a short line which moved quickly. The three staff behind the counter were very efficient and have their system down. Some trays were already half gone. By the time we got our food, the line had extended to the bus stop! Therefore, best to come early. There are two small tables by the front, on either side of the line, which can be awkward. My friend and I trekked to the tables at Mānoa Marketplace to enjoy our fish and the warm sun and gentle breeze.

Spicy ahi- 5/5 classic creamy spicy. My fav Spicy ginger ahi- 5/5 also delicious. They also have a non spicy version too. Best poke I had in Hawaii. Only place we went to twice in entire island. Tuna was so fresh you'll realize THIS is how it should taste and feel, texture wise. Why is mainland poke never this good!! Not even close. Highly recommend stopping by here for poke over all else. Chose white rice as base but that was kinda dry. Noticed they scooped the white rice ahead of time and left it in the takeaway containers--to be proactive? But just makes the rice dry. I mean, does it really take that long to scoop rice that you have to do it ahead of time? That was meh, but fish oh my god so good. SOOOO GOOD You can also order poke by a quarter, half, or whole pound. Parking sucks. Tiny lot. No seats inside (actually you can't even go inside), but a few tables outside. There is a roof overhead incase it's raining and you need a place to eat.

I've never actually been to the market but my boyfriend always knows to stop by and bring home my favorite, cold ginger poke. It's just soooo good, unmatched I must say! As it can get busy, my boyfriend has lucked out on going where there was barely a line. I have yet to make a visit when I'm in the area, definitely one of my top poke spots on the island.

Hole in the wall (literally). Be prepared for a line if you go during peak lunch hour. They seem to source pretty high quality fresh seafood for their poke. I'd recommend getting a combo so you can try two. They make it lightning fast yet it still has a nice presentation.

There are so many poke shops on the island, but Off the Hook had to be my favorite of the bunch I've tried. Their ahi tastes fresh and the marinades are delicious. It's a small storefront and you order and receive your food right at the counter. Extremely efficient service. I ordered a large poke bowl which came with two choices of fish. I opted for the ginger scallion and shoyu, and was very pleased with both. I wish there were more seating options around the area, but we ended up devouring the bowls in the Ululani's parking lot where we got some shave ice after.

Probably some of the best fresh ahi offered near Waikiki. It was significantly better than FoodLands and Fort Rugers Market's poke. They don't offer samples but the popular flavors are Ginger and Spicy Mayo. I got the Japanese Deluxe and K. Spicy which were flavorful but a bit salty. Probably should've chosen a simpler flavor to maximize the fresh taste. Very long lines but it goes by quickly.

This was pretty good, but not a perfect bowl for me. Fish was fresh and the flavors/sauces were good and unique. I really enjoyed all the toppings. Some people say it takes away from the fish but idk man I'm kind of a fan of extra textures. The big downside for me personally was the sushi rice. Definitely had a bit too much vinegar for my liking and I felt like it took away from the fish. Overall I'd say good bowl, I'd want to try it with just white rice next time.

It had great flavor without overpowering the freshness of the fish. - The wasabi ahi was also good, but be prepared for a strong wasabi kick that definitely clears your sinuses. - I also tried the Hawaiian ahi, which was a little too mild for my taste. - The miso tako ended up being my least favorite because it leaned much sweeter than I expected. Next time I'd probably go with the shoyu instead since I was looking for a bit more flavor. One thing they absolutely get right is the fish itself. It's incredibly fresh, buttery, and almost melt in your mouth tender. Compared to other well-known poke spots, I actually preferred the quality and flavor of the fish here. The only reason I'm taking off one star is the rice. They use regular jasmine rice, and I really think sushi rice would make a huge difference. Since poke is essentially fish and rice, the rice should complement the fish instead of feeling like an afterthought. Service was quick and straightforward. You tell them what you want, they build your bowl, you pay, and you're on your way. The shop itself is very small with no indoor seating, just a couple of outdoor tables, so I'd consider this more of a grab-and-go spot than a place to dine in. Overall, I'd definitely come back for the freshness of the fish alone. With sushi rice, this place would be even better.

I liked that there was a condiment bar at the end to add any toppings you wanted. The fish was fresh and well seasoned, with no fishiness at all. I just wished there was a bit more white onion for crunch, but it was good regardless. The Fish and Chips were really good. The fish was super crispy, the meat was firm, and the fries were nicely fried. The tartar sauce or maybe more of a lemony aioli, was the star. It wasn't your usual tartar sauce; it had a homemade lemony sweetness that made it delicious. My only complaint was that the batter came off the fish pretty easily, which made it a bit tricky to eat at times.

Now I've had a lot of these in my life, and I must say, Iyasume are easily the best.
